Maybe not every third-party accessory for Apple devices needs its own story complete with 6 photos? I mean it's not the first, best or cheapest in its product category, is it?
I believe it's the first/only 3-in-1 charging device that supports both 15w MagSafe and fast charging for Apple Watch S7 and beyond.

I like to read reviews and see pics of new and unique Apple accessories.

So it is a bit ugly, and the jeez the price is ridiculous. But annoyingly this is ideal for Travel. 1 plug, 1 cable and the cube = 3 things charged. Any decent alternatives out there?

Yep, exactly this. I wanted the MagSafe Duo, but it‘s ridiculous that it hasn’t been updated to support fast charging for the Apple Watch, especially as the watch is the iThing that needs fast charging the most.

Picked up one of these cubes as soon as I saw that it supported fast charging for both phone and watch. Loved it. Bought a second one last week. I hate that it’s so damn good, cost me a lot of cash. 😅😭

When Macrumors reviews accessories, such as chargers that plug into the wall, I really wish they would state which regulatory approvals the device has earned, such as being UL LISTED.

That's important for a lot of people.

While I personally prefer to own/carry/charge my devices using cables that came with them, as Apple God intended (except for that failed announcement/attempt we faithful try to forget never happened, forgive me, Apple), this is the first 3-in-1 charger design I’ve seen that doesn’t suffer from the visual “problem” of what the “empty” device looks like on your nightstand or desk when it isn’t doing its job.

Both Belkin 3-1’s do fast charging for the Apple Watches along with 15w MagSafe and 5w QI.

Looks like a tiny little printer

I mean, yeah, it’s ugly, but it’s also very functional for what it is and the best for travel I’ve seen so far. I’d rather have the Belkin at home and this to travel although I don’t think I’d ever buy either.

Here's a much cheaper non-MagSafe (but still magnetic) equivalent that costs AU$50 (~US$32) which also charges a MagSafe-compatible iPhone, AirPods and an Apple Watch, on Amazon Australia. BYO charger: https://amzn.to/3G6BbOJ

I bought one of these and really like it; the light turns off and stays off with a quick button push if you don't want it visible.

It looks good for travel but for that price, I will just take a Lightning cable with me. All of these chargers are so expensive, even the Belkin ones.

Question: does the phone have to be supported by the surface that the cube sits upon (as shown, I believe, in the OP photos) or is the base of the cube (Cubase, for you DAW nerds out there) heavy enough to support a 14 PM without the device also being supported by the surface?
It's actually not touching the table in that photo, just very close, and it's at its maximum upright angle. With nothing else on the charger like AirPods or an Apple Watch, the balance is pretty close with a Pro Max and an Apple leather case on there, so you can tip it forward fairly easily, but it obviously won't go very far because the phone hits the table. Tipping it back any further than maximum improves the stability since it moves the center of gravity closer to the middle of the base.

The hinge tension is sufficient that it will stay at whatever angle you put it at, even with a Pro Max on there.

Look stupid. Ugly design. Doesn't even have an internal power supply so you have to carry a wall wort and a long USB C cable anyway. It would be nice if it had both a figure 8 direct power connection and a USB C connection so you can choose how to power it. It feels wrong somehow to have to use a USB C device just to power a USB C device to power your devices.

question: do any products exist on the market that have two MagSafe chargers in one product (i.e. one for iPhone, one for AirPods)? is this something Apple is saving for themselves to debut? sure, MagSafe is more of a convenience than anything for AP—they don’t charge any faster—but with my own experiences with a Qi charger, I’m just holding out with my Duo* until something like this reaches the market.

*(yes, it’s f—ing irritating not having fast charging for the Watch, being a brand new S8 owner. you win some, you lose some. not like I have $150 to spend on a 3-in-1 right now anyway.)

I bought the 35W Dual USB-C Port Compact Power Adapter from Apple. Works like a charm. And that for only 59 dollars. These 3-in-1 gadgets are ridiculously overpriced imo.
Anker has a smaller 65W Dual charger for $49

I actually picked this up and I quite like it. It’s more compact than the Belkin and he a nice weight to it. If you grab the iPhone at an angle it lifts right off without moving the unit. The Belkin slid all over.
Completely agree. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and love it. It’s better than any others I’ve tried for the exact thing you notice - its weight. 1-handed removal is sweet.
