I’ve been using my 15 Pro Max for the last couple of months and it’s barely any different than the 14 Pro Max I had before it. The Action Button isn’t revolutionary. In fact, I accidentally press it sometimes and accidentally mute my phone. Never had that problem with the switch. USB-C has been a non-issue since I use MagSafe for my charging needs. I feel like I paid for an iPhone 14 Pro Max a second time and feel kinda stupid, TBH.
But honestly it’s your own fault if you feel that way. In this case you were completely trolled by the marketing or simply uninformed.

So let's summarize the Apple inventions of recent years
- Dynamic island, failed
- Action button, failed
- Please keep up with the Android competition in terms of battery life
- Titanium frame, fingerprints and scratches

Is this the ouput of a trillion dollar company?
😅😅 oh my…

Dynamic Island - it’s nice but the marketing hype around it was inc wagon too high. It has some nice animations, sometimes it’s useful but not more

Action button - for me unnecessary but when you activate some shortcuts for it, it’s nice

Battery life - from what I’ve seen in tests it holds up pretty well

Titanium frame - I guess you’re mostly trolling here because of some images and videos in social media instead of telling your own experience

The 15 is actually quite impressive. I really love the matte look without all the glossy stuff. It reminding me of the iPhone 4/4s, which was my favorite. It's the perfect weight and size for me....and I'm a size queen

Why do people still use screen protectors? Honest question. Don't they degrade the screen experience? Have they been a lifesaver for dropped phones? I haven't used a screen protector in 10 years and don't feel the need for one.
When I watched the review, I had precisely the same thought.

The world needs to read your response.

This is why I have skipped this year AGAIN!

Two months is NOT long-term.

2 years is barely long term.

Go make a long-term review about the iPhone 11. Long-term reviews look at durability, repairability, product resilience, and support from the manufacturer. Anything else is short-term marketing hype and feature obsession.
Hugs.

For me: I sometimes put it in my GFs purse when doing something, or my pocket with keys. It’s much easier for me to order a replacement then stop into the Apple Store and have them use their machine to put it on.

The alternative is I spend the same money, without my phone for 2 hours and I have to hover around the Apple Store. Oh… I also have to give Apple access to all my information or wipe my device, then give Apple access to an empty phone.

I’m coming from an iPhone 12 Pro so for me upgrading to the larger phone has been a good upgrade.. Battery has been solid and runs snappy with better camera and screen view .. so far happy with the purchase and planning on keeping this one for three years..I know some don’t care for the action button but being able to map it differently is better than just mute for me ..

I can't believe how damaged my phone is. It has scratches all over the screen and a crack. Never dropped it. Have no clue how that happened. By far the most delicate iPhone I have ever owned. Two months in and a screen has a crack without and physical abuse. Been an iPhone user since 3GS.

You'll love the camera - a solid upgrade coming from a 12 Pro.

And if you're interested in making interesting/cinematic videos, check out Blackmagic's camera app. It's free and gives you a ton of options. Having a USB-C connector lets you store your video clips to a small SSD or a fast SSD card, in advanced formats and colorspaces.

I switched from my iP11 pro. Lots of fingerprints, battery life is quite bad. The action button is mostly useless, but easy to press by accident. Enough for your „oh my“? But basically my experience matches the MR long term review of the iP14 pro and the new iP15pro review. So this is not only my opinion.

Sadly I had to switch, since my old iP11pro did not support 5G. I‘ll get a fingerprint safe case 😂😂😂😂

Forgot to say…. Oh my, those Apple stormtroopers again 🤦🏼‍♂️

I also hike a ton with my wife and use a pocket tripod for photos...people always offer to take our photos, but I always decline. They may be quick and willing to take our photo, but if a drop occurred during transfer they wouldn't be nearly as quick to pay for damages. I put my phone in guided access when I give it to strangers at gigs to pick songs from our band set list.
I got a really nice clear case from Spigen for my phone for three reasons:
• Drop protection (I had dropped about 5 times already, no damage at all).
• Better Grip (Without it, the iPhone sometimes may become slippery as a bar of butter).
• Aluminum Kickstand (I can adjust the angle in landscape orientation, and Facetime in Portrait orientation).

My clients who got the clear case from Apple end up loving my case, saying it protects more and the buttons are much easier to press.

Get the Spigen clear case with the aluminum kickstand. It will prevent accidental button presses without making them hard to press.

My immediate reply is why EVER use the phone for ApplePay? As an individual with almost $4,000 lifetime cash back, I only use my watch. I am actually a bit triggered when a merchant makes me pass them my phone as their drive-thru isn't equipped to tap by watch...or a bar won't let me come behind a bit to tap-just one more transfer that could invoke a dropped device.
Not sure I get this. I never pass my phone to a merchant. You just hold your phone up to the NFC terminal. That is where my phone works only part of the time.

How is no one talking about the TERRIBLE glass quality? I have owned every iPhone since the 4S and this glass quality is reminiscent of those in the earlier years regarding easy scratching. When I brought into apple they admit the glass quality is LOWER than the previous iPhone.. is this confirmed? Apparently it was a supplier issue so apple opted to use a lower quality glass?

No overheating, performance is great.

Downsides:
A) It's too big for trouser pockets. Unless I can find someone to rectify all my pockets I'll get rid of it and never buy another phone so large

B) The screen is not uniform- warm at top and blueish at the bottom. Might have to swap it for that reason
@PantherKang What was funny about this? The pocket thing or something else? 😅

Iphone 16 Pro Max is going to be so much better than this, and the iPhone 17 Pro max, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. But I think I'll hold on for the iPhone 20 Pro Max as it might have a half decent 9 inch screen.

I like the hardware, but detest the current naming schemes Apple have. Max? Max what? What's Pro?
Max(imum) screen size. Pro camera.
