Woah. Today my S10 died by 4:30PM. Not sure what caused a massive battery drain today.

Went to bed last night with 30%. Really wasn’t impressed then either. Anyone else experiencing battery issues?

Today: 6AM-4:30PM

Never had this problem with my 6 year old Series 4.

My Series 10 is not making in a full day.

I put it on this morning around 8:30AM. Around 8:30PM it displayed a Notification that I had 3% battery left. At 8:45PM, it shut off.

I was expecting much better batter than my 7.

I was driving back home to Georgia from Memphis. I depended on my notificaitons to show on my watch.

I am going to give it a few more days. This may not work out.

Took off charger at 6am today and died at 3:45pm. I didn’t do anything different from previous days since launch. Very disappointed.

It's getting noticeably better every day. Got mine at launch and the battery would barely last for 20 hours for the first 4 days. It drained +30% overnight during those days and now it takes less than 15% during night. Yesterday I had 37% battery remaining 24 hours after a full charge.

I got my Apple Watch 10 last Friday, and the battery life has been excellent until today. Suddenly it started draining very rapidly, about 15% per hour. I charged it to 100% about 10:30am. By 4:30pm it completely died. It went from 100% to 0% in just 6 hours.

And no, I haven’t been doing anything crazy with it aside from a single 25-minute outdoor walk and checking the time.

for the first day or two wasn't great. was around 15/20% at end of day but yesterday I noticed, I put it on at 729am and off at 10pm and was around 58%. That's pretty good. That was without a work out but even then.

My S10 lasts all day - just like my previous Apple Watches - so I haven't paid attention.

I put it on the charger at bedtime, and take it off the charger when I get up. I'll often do a workout during the day. If it's a really long one I'll drop the watch on the charger while I shower.

No issues here so far. My S10 has lasted all day, every day.

I typically charge mine for 15 - 20 minutes max before bed as I use the watch for sleep tracking.

I will also charge it for 15 - 20 minutes as I am getting ready for work and again, having zero issues with the battery drain.

Yeah, I was getting great battery life until now. No idea why it changed. I’ve just charged it from 0 to 100% undisturbed. Let’s see if that helps. I’ve read that the new watch may need a few days to calibrate itself. It’s just weird that it was perfectly fine until now.

It's possible some third party app update might've had an impact, seems like that's happened in prior years with major watchOS updates. Oh and also watchOS issues have been to blame as well.

Whatever you're experiencing, it doesn't seem widespread though which is good.

I took mine off the charger 12.5 hours ago. It’s still on 63%.

My series 5 would have been on 20% by now.

I’m having pretty awful battery life. Using S10 Slate Ti. The only reason I upgraded from the S8 stainless was because I wanted a new battery, so this is pretty frustrating. I’ve not even done a workout yet today and have spent the majority of my time at my desk with walking around the hospital for patients as needed. No tracked workouts or use of the watch other than it being a watch.

I was using the flux watch face which I’ve now disabled in case that helps. But there’s no reason to be at 21% at this time of day with practically zero use.

Update: I took the watch off the charger 2 hours ago, when it was fully charged. It now has 99% battery. That’s a 1% drop in 2 hours. At this rate, I should be getting 200 hours of battery life. 😂

I did a quick charge this morning (20 min) and got the watch to 92% by 7am... 7 hours later the watch is sitting at 69% with normal use of checking and replying to texts, emails, playing music directly through the watch and so on.

I hate to see that some folks are not having the same great experience I am so far.

Mine seemed ok initially but the last couple days it’s been dreadful, especially today!

Fully charged at around 6:47pm, and down to 50% by 9:30pm.
That’s definitely not normal at all, and must be a software issue.

I’ve since done a forced reboot and from 9:30pm to 10:30pm I’ve lost 5% which is a lot better.

Try a forced reboot and see if that helps.

That sounds like a software bug?

This was my battery graph yesterday and today, I have nothing to compare it to. But I think my battery is fine. I have it since last Friday.

I read that there’s an iOS 18.0.1 update coming. Maybe there’s a watchOS update coming as well 🤞

Yes that looks normal.

Mine was the opposite, with STEEP declines.

On my s10 i had great battery life in the first 2 days. Then i had big drain without any workout etc. I disabled photo syncing and live activities and my battery life is great again. Must be a bug with syncing or live activities…

Definitely some power bugs hanging around in watchOS 11. Some have pointed to Live Activities/Smart Stack as being the culprit; I've noticed some hours where I only have a 2% drop and other hours where there is a 5% drop. This is on an Ultra 1st gen. In both cases the watch was more or less idling (not being looked at at my desk) but in that %5/hour case I had music running on my iPhone, though had closed the smart stack widget soon after starting the music. That's not to say the music widget is the culprit: more so that there are perhaps some power bugs in the new OS, and certain conditions (such as the media controls available) will lead to higher than intended power draw. I do hope they squash the power bugs soon.

yes I’m not using photo syncing. I disabled that with setting up my watch. Maybe it’s something like that indeed.

Live activities are enabled on my watch. (I have to read what that exactly is though. Never used that feature on my phone.)

Worse than my series 7 which is a bummer. Survives a full day, but just barely.

I’ve noticed smart stack gets triggered a lot just by the crown scraping against the wrist, something it more easily does due to the new thinner design.
