My battery life was initially fine until yesterday when it was down to 5% after 10 hours. Charged overnight to 100% and put watch on today around noon and by 6PM was down to 5% again. I restarted the watch, updated to 11.0.1, turned off live activities and changed to a new power adapter and charging cord. In the last 1-1 1/2 hours the watch has lost 8%. This is my 2nd Series 10 watch since launch. The first one could not be paired with my 16Pro despite many hours on the phone and visits to Xfinity and Apple stores. Finally on 9/29 an Apple genius was able to pair the 2nd watch by removing call forwarding on the phone (I have a mini 12 used as a backup). The new phone and watch have been working well until yesterday. Really tired of this right now.

I seriously hate to hear folks are having a bad experience with this AW.

My S10 has been extremely efficient with the battery usage. I picked mine up a few days after launch and only have to charge it for 35 - 45 minutes every other day.

I use this watch the exact same way or even more so than I did my previous AW S4 Nike + and that watch, even out of the box, never had this type of battery life.

I’m still on 11.0 and currently my watch is sitting at 41% after 22.5 hours of continuous wear including the sleep focus mode at night.

11.0.1 firmware, AW S10 46 went only down to %46 after 23:30 hours after, everything was on with max brightness. I also had an outdoor walk session for 2 hours, amazed me more than black Ultra 2...

How's your battery life with the new update? watchOS 11.0.1
after just over 25 hours at 74% that’s with a one hour workout and usual daily calls throughout the day and sleep with watch . safe to say it’s as good as new. not S10 but using 11.01 prior to that had disable live activities and other background stuff now all enabled so go and update my wife’s S9 was dreadful since OS11 after update to 11.01 her S9 was at 43% prior to going to sleep so she got a first full day with reasonable amount of battery at the end of day again working like new

Fingers crossed the new update solves the battery problem. It’s too soon to tell, but so far so good. Before the update, my Series 10 would get anything from phenomenal battery life (40+ hours) to just 6 hours after a full charge. It was inconsistent.

But during the good times, I couldn’t believe how long it lasted. Even with AOD.

My S10 Ti came off the charger at about 3:30am this morning. I am putting it on the charger a 6pm, before my shower. It is a 73% which I think is awesome! This included a 1 mile workout, mowing the lawn.

Have not updated yet. I put my watch on this morning around 8. It’s almost 7 and I’m at 62%. I mainly used it to respond to texts because I didn’t have my phone, so not heavy usage, but I’m pleased overall. I’ll do the update when I put it on the charger tonight.

I’m not getting any plots of battery life. Anybody else experiencing this?
Not with my Apple Watch. But I have this with my M2 iPad Pro 11 since the beginning. But only when it’s not connected to internet! So that makes it even weirder. Apple said it was a known bug in iPadOS 16 and in iOS 16 and it would be resolved very soon. But two years later it is not fixed yet.

I had this also with a new iPhone 7 when the battery was failing. But they replaced it for free, because the diagnostics I had to send them did reveal a hardware problem.

I'm on my second titanium S10. My first S10 had a few excessive battery loss days that were inconsistent, so I returned and bought a new one. My current S10 was perfect the first couple days, so much so that I didn't even realize how bad my first S10 was on its "good" days. Now I'm having the same issue. It died yesterday before 8pm having been 100% when I left for work in the morning. I did one 20-minute workout in the middle of the day and one 10-minute workout in the late afternoon. Today, I was at 100% this morning and already hitting 10% before making this post. I did take a 2-hour walk which I was tracking, but I've done this countless times with my S8 and had no issue. I feel like it has to be something I'm doing wrong at this point. I changed my charging cable and brick last night to see if maybe that was somehow a factor. I'm not using this watch any differently than my S8, but it's performing so poorly that I wish I never got it. Did the OS update already.

Did you install the WatchOS update via the watch app that specifically fixes the battery drain issue?

that is really draining quickly. Have you downloaded any software on you watch. You graph shows the battery draining fast. It should be a longer slope.

That drain was pretty much the duration of the walk I took. I wasn’t using the watch at all other than for tracking with the regular Workout app. Nothing external downloaded and I’m not using it any differently than any other Apple Watch I’ve had. I’ve had an Apple Watch on an at least every-other-year schedule and never had a bad experience.

Is your phone with you when you were on your walk? I think your phone GPS tracks you when you phone is with you and the watch GPS has to do the tracking when your phone is left behind. That could account for some. What does the battery app say about what app is using the power.

If you're using an AW8, Ultra, or 2nd Gen SE or newer, the watch will always use its own GPS regardless of whether the phone is with you or not.

Updating to WatchOS 11.0.1 fixed my battery drain issue. I also turned off live activities and location services, prior to updating the OS.

May I ask which widgets you have in your Smart Stack? Not Live Activities per se but just these things:

The reason I ask is that my S10 was fine since launch, pre and post the 11.0.1 update. Then one morning I added the Home widget to my stack and unknown to me the battery drained in 10 hours. I took the watch off to have a shower in the afternoon and to my surprise it was dead when I came back to it.

It’s annoying because I try to look after the batteries on my devices, not fully drain them, and keep them healthy for many years.

Anyway, I removed that widget and it’s been running fine again the past few days. Trying to figure out if it’s a coincidence or if particular widgets or complications are at play.
