Not sure whether this method still works in Safari 15 but Mac Rumors has a guide to disabling tab previews in Safari 14.

did not work for me, but thanks. perhaps some modification for the terminal command...?

EDIT: gonna reboot my macbook, because, on my imac, i now only see the page name & title. on my macbook, still getting full page previews. hmmmm....

first image is on my imac, second on the macbook. trying to determine why they both don't react the same way to that terminal command (the imac wins this one). any ideas, anyone? they're both set up identically...

did you see my post just above yours? on my imac i now only get a small tab window with the site name & heading; but on my macbook, nothing has changed....

EDIT: this apparently does not work as the option itself is no longer IN the debug menu, so there's nothing to turn on (or off). i tried a few variables, with no luck.

but, again, i AM getting simpler windows on my imac; can't figure out what's different here, between the macbook and the imac.

if anyone figures out how to fully disable the tab previews... post here!
