Wait what? No one hasn't implied? China is not populated with middle aged gentlemen from London, it's populated with Chinese. It is exactly being implied here although much of it is deserved no one should assume it as the default position.

And the US is populated with millions of Americans--what does race have to do with it? Just because a country has a reputation for certain behaviors (and we Americans have plenty of our own), why does it immediately turn into a race issue?

Listen, poor choice of words on my part--I'm not about to presume to know what other posters intend with their comments, only that my reference to China would be no different than if I were referring to incidents in any specific part of the world. So if I made reference to an incident happening in the US and inferred that it met some stereotype found there, would that be called racist? An American may take offense to it but it has nothing to do with race.

American is not a race.

What? I assume you really meant to argue that Chinese isn't a race.

No...I've repeatedly referred to China in my posts as a country or location. The assumption about referring to the Chinese people or their race is all you.

And with that, I'm bowing out of this line of posts/replies as it's sidetracking the thread and of no benefit to the actual thread discussion.

Err no Bosch!!!
What?? Your crazy. Black&Decker is always coming out with something innovating, and their attention to detail is second to none (have you looked at the way the heater element curves at a perfect u arc?)

Bosch is just cheap, the spring mechanism is too soft, the finish feels like plastic, and the way the whole toaster heats up when on is just awful. Even the plug is poor quality too on its own.

The word your looking for is Asian (I've also heard oriental, but not sure on that one).

That's like calling all hispanics Mexican.

The topic is actually that people in this thread are implying that people in China specifically commit more fraud than others and then saying it isn't racist. Not all Asian people are Chinese. ;)

Edit: Also, I wouldn't refer to an Asian person as oriental if I were you.

It has also been said that this needs to be verified first as if there is some connection or emotional attachment to Samsung using a lot of the same logic thrown around on these fora like a sack of potatoes.

Saying that is not racist. Their track record speaks for itself

Oh look isn't this shocking and this plays right into that narrative of a typical story where a foreign company like Samsung is a target of a smear campaign to protect their own. Just like I said, when you get a story where someone claims damages and doesn't want it investigated, only wants it publicized, it's gotta raise a red flag. Unless of course, you want the story to be true.

People that get so worked up regarding the battery explosion issue are the ones who have no intention of buying the Note 7.

a better place
Not sure I trust this story, the person burnt refused
Samsung take by the phone away and investigate, so he could publicise the story..... make money in other words.

Have you been using the new 'Yoda' translator app from Google ;)

Regarding monetisation, he reported this on Twitter. Blog / News sites picked up on it from there. None of these would be paying to report on this (they rarely even post source and when they do they do not pay you as the source, I speak from first hand experience) so I am confused as to where and how you think the user would be monetising from this. There is no YouTube video or channel from the user, and Twitter certainly don't pay for popular tweets.

Who is "worked up?" honestly, it's no different in the iPhone forum where the ines that get "worked up" over iPhone issues don't own one or plan on owning one.

I'm not surprised you're the first one that replied to my post, I wonder why? Why don't you check all your posts regarding this issue.

Anyway, this goes both ways, and I don't disagree with what you said.
