right I'm clueless like the people and op that made a thread about Samsung copying a vapor ware iPhone based on internet rumors.

but when Samsung goes water resistant apple gets nothing about how it copied the gs7
The first water proof/resistant phones were made in 2005 by Casio. Whatever copying is alleged to happen neither company invented the idea.

People see and believe what they want, regardless of facts. Unfortunately, perception can distort reality, hence the coined term 'reality distortion girls' during Steve Jobs reign as CEO. That legacy continues today.

Now, it is fact that Samsung has copied and cloned Apple's hardware and ideas, but they have also innovated a lot of hardware and software that Apple has copied. Threads like this just go round and round in circles.

Exactly. And like my point which he can't understand is that when Apple does it, Samsung follows. And Samsung comes out with a new idea, Apple follows. It takes those two to do it for it to be on the high end phones. Forget about the low end phones as don't aren't competition.

Samsung already made a galaxy without a home button.you were implying that iPhone didn't really copy Samsung with water proofing but then said iPhone did it better with some biased apple reviewer

I dont' care what they had 10 years ago. I am talking about now. They haven't had a phone without a button in many many years.

Again, you can't read.

@grmk3

He'll just keep moving the goalposts...don't bother...

He doesn't realise how often he contradicts himself, it's becoming comical...

Funny as it seems I have others agreeing with me on this as well. Continue to waste our time with your posts. Good job, you just got blocked.

They both copy from each other. It's reality.

Only fanboys argue who was first.

Carry on...

keep moving the goal posts man.the galaxy Nexus is 4 years old not 10

what do you have to say about the galaxy cure that is not as old with minimal top and bottom bezels? Samsung has been shrinking bezels and maximizing screen to body ratio with every new phone.they are known for having small footprint to screen ratios and not because of an apple rumor saying there going to get rid of bezels.

if you want to get technical Samsung put the headphone jack on the bottom first on the galaxy Nexus then went back on the top now back on the bottom.they move it around all the time.not because of where apple puts the stupid plug

we have a thread titled the gs8 is copying the next iPhone for Christ sake and the ****ing iPhone is not even out yet.there is nothing Samsung can do without being called out for copying even if it comes out first.

where are all the threads about apple copying Samsung's water resistance? if it were the other way around we would have countless threads about it.

Well, it wasn't Samsung that influenced Apple to improve iPhone's audio. Other Android phones have been praised for their audio quality, so it's not just Samsung nor Apple being the influencers of the industry.

The Galaxy series wouldn't exist at all if it weren't for the iPhone, but let's say in another dimension that the iPhone didn't exist. Do you really think Samsung would come up with the bezel-less design all on their own and specifically release it in 2017 if the iPhone wasn't doing it?
They would've done something else. Samsung were hot on Nokia's heels when iPhone arrived.
Either way (iPhone or No iPhone), we would have some truly great convergence devices now, as thats where smartphones like the Samsung i8510 Innov8 and Nokia N95 were taking us.

But only one has went thermonuclear and went to court about it. And what they went to court over was design patents, not anything worth the millions Apple wants.

Last I checked, none of those phones were ever compared to the iPhone. It was always the Galaxy S series which have been out for way longer than 4 years. Again, the phones that compete against each other is the S series, and the Note series. with iPhone and iPhone plus.

Again, Apple put the jack on the bottom first compare to it's competition in the S series. Like many keep telling you, the cheaper crappy phones don't count. They don't go up against the high end phones.

Nope, sorry, wrong again!

The Galaxy Nexus was a high end phone, amongst the 1st to brind a HD720P Display, plus NO Home Button AND 3.5mm jack at the bottom.

The iPhone at the time was a iPhone 4S that still had the 3.5mm jack at the top, and a home button.

The Nexus series also competed with iPhone, up until they began making them cheaper starting with the Nexus 4.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Copy by using oled? Do you bite your thumb at me sir?

I can if it please you.

Some of the posts in this thread are simply stupid, ridiculously stupid.

You may as well actually claim Samaung has invented a time machine and travels into the future to copy what Apple has made, actually that would be more sensible!

Gotta love how you compare a Google phone to iphones when we are talking about Samsung labeled phones. Google nexus has never had a physical home button. That is by Google design not Samsung. Even though Samsung made it for them. Again, Samsung s series vs iphone. Stay on topic.

It was a GALAXY Nexus, as in BOTH Samsung AND Google partnered to make it. This remains the only Nexus phone that got branding of its OEM, as Samsung also had a lot of input.

Regardless of how much you want to move the Yard Stick, the Galaxy Nexus counts, as Samsung were heavily involved.

You can keep trying, but the S series is and always has been the one compared to the iPhones.
