funny how iPhone now is water resistant but if it was the other way with Apple having it first everyone would say Samsung copied it.

IPS has reached EOL. Cost per increasing benefits has become cost prohibitive compared to OLED and the newer more capable QLED.

LCD simply can't match LED contrast ratios or power efficiency and it is why LCD now languishes behind LED on Displaymates tests.

Far from it. Until cost of OLED is cheaper to make, IPS panels aren't going anywhere. They still are the #1 displays sold in the market today. You hardly see any computer displays that are OLED where the high end displays for PCs are IPS panels. Also LCD IPS is more power efficient than OLED.

True, but it did take Samsung up to the S7 to make it really a water resistent/proof phone. The S5 and S6 Actives both leaked and got ruined with that removable backs.

Apple's wireless charging implementation will be legitimately wireless in the way wireless implies (not just a surface contact "wireless").
[doublepost=1481407875][/doublepost]

It won't be copying, OLED is the better newer technology.

Truly wireless charging would be awful.

S4 Active, Xcover 3, S5 standard, all water resistant...so not really...again...

Again, they weren't really water resistant when they leaked and Samsung had to cover them. Lots of issues with those and water penetration. Again, YOU DON'T RESEARCH. The S7 was the first samsung that has been good with water penetration.

http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...acement-for-a-water-damaged-galaxy-s4-active/

S5 Active was better, but still had issues.

what are you trying to get across though? the gs7 still came out before apple did it.if it was the other way around we would see a bunch of people saying monkey see monkey do.but when apple copies no one says nothing about it.

iPhone getting water resistant is 100% done to compete with Samsung and following there foot steps.both sides copy each other but apple never gets crap for it.

Never said it was, but Samsungs wasn't good till the S7, but Apple did it good on the first shot. At least Samsung covered the phones that leaked. Apple definitely isn't.

Samsung did it better.the gs7 has a higher rating and iPhone just waited to see how to do it and copied Samsungs innovation .I also never said you did but look at this stupid thread.we have people saying Samsung is copying apples rumors as if Samsung has a time machine.

The Galaxy series wouldn't exist at all if it weren't for the iPhone, but let's say in another dimension that the iPhone didn't exist. Do you really think Samsung would come up with the bezel-less design all on their own and specifically release it in 2017 if the iPhone wasn't doing it?

On the first point you have absolutely no idea what so ever what Apple is doing with wireless charging and I doubt it will be beaming across a room. It will still require a device to be plugged in the wall socket and the phone to be in a set limited distance anyway. But I seriously doubt Apple will be the first on the planet to use that technology.

On the second point Apple will be completely copying Samsung and the market if it goes OLED, to say anything else is to live in denial and be an apologist. But you seem to be doing that anyway reading your comments.
The iPhone Plus would simply not exist if it wasn't for the Galaxy Note series! But I bet you'll say otherwise..

Samsung has been getting there bezels smaller with every new generation phone and Samsung was making phones and watches way before apple was .your delusional if you think Samsung is shrinking it's bezels because of an apple rumor.have you ever held a gs6 edge or gs7 edge? Samsung was shrinking the bezel starting with the gs3. here is Samsung at CES 3-4 years ago showing off its bezeless flexible phone and they had a working demo of it.

hqdefault.jpg

Samsung also put out a curved phone 2 years ago that had almost no top and bottom bezels and only had enough room at the bottom to fit it's hardware buttons.if you take this phone that Samsung already made and add am edge display to it and decide to keep the hardware buttons you could be looking at the gs8 but u will say Samsung copied apple vapor ware.

here take a look! this phone exists!

Samsung already made a galaxy without any hardware buttons so is apple copying that?

Actually a rating is one thing but actually doing it is another. It isn't better.

I stopped watching 3 seconds into your source when the guy said what's up everyone everything APPPLE PRO HERE.

the Samsung galaxy round came out 3 years ago and had top and bottom bezels just enough to fit it's hardware buttons and camera on top.if Samsung decides to finally listen to google and ditch hardware buttons you will see a very small footprint and that is not because of a stupid apple rumor.

go look at the galaxy round and see how small the footprint is on that 5.7 in phone.give it an edge screen and it's a gs8 with hardware buttons.

the galaxy round has such small bezels that only give the phone enough room to fit the home button

Umm it's a constant video feed and he rates all devices. It still is a legitimate test. Facts are facts dude. You just proved you refused to see and admit it isn't as good. Lol

If Samsung still has a button like apple does that doesn't move then they copied apple. Either way they didn't get rid of it or the headphone jack till after apple did.

Samsung had hardware buttons with very small bezels in the galaxy round.my point is if Samsung keeps the hardware buttons but shrinks the bezels it's not because of apple.tgey will take advantage of USB-C and get rid of the headphone jack.the galaxy round moved the jack up top to save space on the bottom bezels.and if Samsung gets rid of the hardware they are not copying apple they are doing what Google wants and already tested it out and people yelled bring back the hardware buttons and Samsung listened.

I have a galaxy sitting here in my hand with no buttons and this phone came out 5 years ago.

They are copying apple. They moved the headphone jack to the top as well after apple made that move. Google doesn't control Samsung. Samsung has had a hardware home button for the longest time and if they decide to ditch it right after apple did it is because of apple. Both phones go against each other and what one does the other does.

Google does control and wants every OEM to do it.they want everyone to use on-screen buttons.

actually Samsung moves the headphone jack around all the time.they bounce top and bottom on many different phones .the gs6 and 7 have quad attenas to take advantage of 3 way bands so Samsung needs to move things around on some designs

galaxy Nexus had it at the bottom way before apple did

I'm done. Your clueless.
right I'm clueless like the people and op that made a thread about Samsung copying a vapor ware iPhone based on internet rumors.

but when Samsung goes water resistant apple gets nothing about how it copied the gs7
