What you say about the S-Pen makes a lot of sense. I have not had a Note since my brief time with Note 7. I do remember using it to take notes got awkward trying to save and retrieve them. It is disappointing they ignored developing that aspect of its use.

Gosh Samsung customer service must be getting hammered by irate customers now. I've tried since yesterday and am in limbo now trying to get a sense of when my order really is arriving and what the hell happened to it. I saw on the Android Central forum another person in my position got an email from Samsung that apologized for the delay, offering a $50 credit toward new purchases and explaining the delay as something caused by AT&T, and a promise the phone would be delivered Monday. Even though their account status still says 9/4.

I haven't gotten any emails. And while an apology and $50 would be appreciated, the communication would be appreciated more. If mine is also coming Monday as some wonky surprise, I need to know. Because I am stuck with one of those mandatory school events I grumbled about.

So it's problematic if our online delivery status info isn't aligning with what's really happening with the shipping. (On top of that, even after shipping many people are struggling with FedEx delivery snafus).

But I can't get through to a person to find anything out for sure. :mad:

I'm a reasonable and patient and polite customer, so looking back over their customer service snafus with me, I think I can be forgiven if I start to contemplate making this my last dance with Samsung.

I've tried their phone support. I've tried online. Whenever there's a new product launch there ends up being a period of time their customer service is completely inaccessible.

I'm typing this on my S10+ while the battery drains on my iPhone waiting to be connected to a person at Samsung. :rolleyes:

Unfortunately the best you’ll get is an uninformed answer, possible wrong. Now, you can use that to your advantage later on. With the S10+, a chat rep absolutely guaranteed that I’d have my phone on a Friday. When it didn’t come, they gave me a $50 credit.

I wasn’t able to get through on three attempts at 15-40 minutes “on hold” apiece. I tried calling but got a recording that there would be an hour wait or I could leave myself a place in a queue and they’d call back. But I am doing all manner of things from now until the first day of school as well as dealing with other calls and correspondence.

If the cancel button hadn’t disappeared yesterday I’d have gone to Best Buy yesterday like @Fernandez21 did. I think if there is a next time, I may try Best Buy. I want the freebies but I am getting tired of the vigil for the delivery. This year I don’t have the other mom available who,once in awhile when she could work from home, got the kids when I needed to stay home for repairmen or go to the doctor. Our kids have gone on to different schools.

At least this Note 10+ looks like a worthwhile upgrade even from an S10+. I’m trying to urge my husband to keep his order active. No it’s not a revolutionary upgrade, but it looks like they refined the whole thing, so now is as good a time to jump on a Note as any for people like me who want a Note. However, he seems to want to hold out for a more DSLR experience in a smartphone. That is rumored to be coming with the S11.

Woot! Got my AT&T model, all features working, now I can finally fully set it up and make it my daily.

Also, ugh, sooooo muuuuch bloatware....... and it’s downloading even more automatically.
Aghhhh yeah AT&T sucks. Verizon’s was worse though. My dad is on Verizon and oh my goodness the stuff they did to his Android phone was so evil. We had to get him an iPhone so he could back one of the features Verizon removed from his Android so they could make him buy the feature as one of their services. That was a few years ago. I don’t know if they are less heavy handed now or not.

It was nice getting a Pixel and getting to have an Android with no bloat.

However I do like Samsung’s so I have learned to just take a deep breath and corral the bloat into folders and delete anything that can safely be deleted.

Well I’m sure you all will be relieved I’ll finally stop whining about how Samsung done me wrong. :D

One of the cases is coming too. Blue LED wallet case. I think there’s 3 more after that. I regret not getting more ear buds. Oh well. At least I won’t be bored with so many cases to switch among.
 
Seeing all these pictures is making me jealous. Samsung didn’t give us any gifts this year in the UK :(

I'll check back Monday. Time to do some online shipping, and not think about a late shipment. I think I'm gonna pick up a few more cases just to change things up on occasion.

Same thing happened to me with my S10+ order and I finally cancelled it.

I think some of the Good Lock features were carried over from my S10 yet none of the apk's were transferred as part of backup

Good lock, activity manager, edge lighting and nice catch seem there but only edge lighting is functioning

Any one else played with these ?

It looks like some of the good lock apps aren't available for the note yet. Can't remember the name of the sound one I used on my 10+, but it isn't in the list any longer.

It was the app that let you alert notifications and calls only through bluetooth when it was on instead of the phone itself.

I never used them much but it was only when I pasted a picture on my AOD and trying to remove it it got me thinking

There is also an APK out for the 3d Scanner but it is very buggy to say the least and almost not worth the trouble yet

Oh goodness I'm sorry. That's awful. How did you even manage to get through to a csr, though? Samsung stinks for this sort of thing.

Speaking of colors, I finally checked out the phones at Best Buy. And I’m actually surprised to say that I was less impressed with the Aura Glow in person and more impressed with the Black.

I wonder if some of that has to do with the lighting in Best Buy. . . I looked at it today at Microsoft and it looked totally different and much less like a CD. It as quite silver and light blue.

That’s true. The lighting at Best Buy may have been too much for it to handle. Plus, the fingerprints were all over. I always at least wipe mine down.

Some first initial thoughts....
One UI has improved and is better than ever. But either you're fan or not fan....
Battery life seems to be great...but need more time to really judge.
It came unboxed charged to 67%. Since then for 3.5 hours I have been restoring from SD Card back up......hammering the settings and menus....taking a TON of pictures and just in general playing around with the thing and it is at 44%! Impressive!
Pros
This things is FAST....performance beast
Love love love the camera.....
Love the white color
The haptic motor has improved over the S10 and on par with my Xs Max

Cons
Not a fan of curved displays. But the curve is less pronounced than the S10 Plus imho....
Had a couple false touches.
One UI is better but needs to evolve a little more.
Not a Bixby fan.....

Kinda an effort to get used to the wake display button on the left side lol
