I'm thinking of trying the Note 10 because of how big the screen is. Once you get a + version of any iPhones, it's hard to go smaller lol
The print reader is hit and miss that comes on the S10 and Note 10... I've tried them both and got frustrated with them. Cool concept not ready for primetime..

I now have the S10e and am thrilled with it. Yes it is the smaller screen but the print reader is on the power button like the Sony Xperia Compact devices. I love the print reader there...

Some have luck with the imbedded print reader on the S10 and Note10 but I didn't and flat out hated it...

Heads up for anyone with an at&t model. For about a week I've been having battery issues where Android System was eating up battery like crazy, it was always my top battery user, even more than my screen usage!

I wasnt the only one seeing this, a bunch of at&t users were going through the same thing. 2 days ago, someone finally figured out a fix, and I tested it, and it works!

Just go to settings>connections>mobile networks> and turn of AT&T Diagnostics. All this does is allow at&t to collect your data to "optimize" their network, and may also use that data for whatever they want, so even if your not having battery issues, it might still be a good idea to turn it off.

Yeah this is why I bought unlock version.

I thought the telecoms in Canada were bad, but this is just despicable. If a user in the community forum had to figure out a fix, then even more despicable that AT&T didn't offer any help, as it more than likely knew it was the issue, but didn't want to show their hand. Glad you got it fixed, and glad I didn't see anything like it in my settings.
At&t is the devil.

I couldn't notice a difference on mine, but I didn't do much testing.

PS, how do you change the colour?
I used themes I think.

Decided I'm going to keep the note 1O and get rid of my iPhone. Not too bothered about what Apple announce next week.

The deal breakers for me are DeX, split screen apps, the larger, higher resolution display, portrait mode video and the S-pen.

They might announce pencil support for the pro max or whatever it's called but it will just be a lazy add on with no where to store it and the charging mechanism won't be as elegant. I'm sure they will increase the price of the phone if they put a digitizer in the display and of course there is the added cost of the pencil itself. Plus it likely won't have anywhere near the features of the S-pen.

There is no chance of getting any of the other features I listed.

It's been refreshing looking at all the things announced at IFA and being able to actually look at them, rather than not even bothering because they don't fit in with the Apple ecosystem.
[doublepost=1567844438][/doublepost]On another note, Samsung have really improved their keyboard. I always use swiftkey by default but this time I've gone back to the stock keyboard. It's gotten really accurate.

I totally agree with the keyboard comment. I have been on stock Samsung since the S9 and they keep improving it.

Plus the first party integration is far superior than any third party keyboard ever can that includes Swiftkey, GBoard etc.

I sold my iPhone xs max last night. Got a decent price. I was determined to get rid before the announcement next week when the price will no doubt take a hit

I played around with the Note 10+ for about 30 minutes yesterday at Best Buy. I’m honestly very impressed, and One UI isn’t as bad as I thought it was. I like how clean the lock screen is—just small icons as notification indicators. I love how light the phone is. I’m so tired of heavy phones. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think I’ll be considering the Note 10+ to be my next phone. The Pixel 4’s design is such a let down; I don’t think I can look at it day in and day out. And the OnePlus 7 Pro is tempting but I couldn’t imagine owning a Chinese phone or giving the Chinese government any money. And I can’t afford iPhones, TBH. I’m just a student. I know if I wait, I can get a crazy good deal on the Note. And I would get an S-Pen with the phone—for free!

I'm going to spend a bit of time whilst I've got peace and quiet on YouTube looking at the various tips and tricks clips as I'm determined to use this phone to it's full potential.

Sad I know! Lol
Hell no. There's nothing better than really going to town finding out what one can do with a recently purchased phone.

I've spent HOURS this week looking at reviews and hands on vids for the Galaxy A80, and going to the mall three times to test it and compare it with my *list* of similar phones (I had jotted down specific things to compare like color profile, weight in hand, build quality....with tick boxes...). I also spent a fair bit of time importing measurements of similar sized OLED phones into a screen size calculator site so I could compare the screens down to the millimetre... And I don't even own the damn thing yet!

You're among fellow nerds here. Enjoy. And be proud :D

I am really enjoying my note 10, however I cannot figure out how to get my photos from Google photos app into my Samsung gallery. There is no option to save to device or download within the app. Does anybody have a solution for this?

Oh wow thanks so much! My battery life hasn’t been horrible but I’d definitely like to see it be what it ought to be.

@Shanghaichica I love your artwork!
