What about keeping apps open? (Which is already damn good on the S9+). I'd imagine refreshes are even less likely.
That wasn’t an issue with the plus, so I don’t see any difference.

Folsk who have your Note already, are you running at the default FHD+ or WQHD+? It's hard for my eyes to notice much a difference tbh, but I can't imagine there's much of difference in battery life unless there's quite a bit of gaming, or 1440p video streaming going on.

1. HomeKit - I miss the convenient shortcuts from control center as well as a signsi centralized location. Looks like the smart things app could centralize them but you need their job to set it up with hue lights.Just out of curiosity, what specific obstacles are you facing?
Yeah, that's all understandable. I ran into the same issue with my Hue lights. It tells me I need the Smart Things hub to make those lights work with the app, which is annoying. I've only got three Hue lights and they are all in my living room. Luckily I can tell Google Assistant to turn them all off if I need to, but I've already got them automated through the Hue bridge so I never even touch them most of the time.1. 2. Keychain - this is an ecosystem thing. I can move it over to Google in time. 1 password integration is mediocre at best and if you want facial authentication you have to adapt Samsung pass .
3. In general I'm fine with going from one ecosystem to another (apple to Google) but with a Samsung device you have to adopt Samsung's as well for some features to work. The battle between Samsung and Google is obvious and it's annoying as a consumer.
Outside of that, I love the hardware and also enjoy the flexibility .

Premium products are status symbols. Always have been. That's a child though. They always want the latest whatever it may be because their friends have one. And if an adult believes owning one improves their social status, they've got issues.
These are pretty much my feelings as well. Completely agree about HomeKit. 1password integration is terrible on the Note (specifically because Samsung browser doesn't support the Oreo autofill feature). I'm running the 1pazswod beta for iOS 12 and it integrates so well in place of Apples stock keychain, they really did a great job.1. I use Autofill with the Samsung browser all the time.I believe that the iPhone (To many people but not me in particular) is a status symbol. I have a good friend who bought the top model iPhone X the day it came out for no other reason than the status of having the top of the line model on day 1. Sounds dumb to me but a reality for many people.
Spent about 2 hours playing with my Note today. Definitely a lot of good features but some things just feel downright clunky compared to the iPhone. I use 1Password and the auto fill feature on android is terrible imo not to mention that the Samsung browser doesn’t support it.
Another thing that’s really pissing me off is that Google assistant will not read calendar appointments off of my family calendar (created through setting up my family group). Maddening especially since both Alexa and Siri can do this.
I’m also finding home automation management kind of a pain on android. HomeKit gives me an excellent widget to quickly turn on and off my devices. The SmartThings widget as well as the notification panel widget is terrible. Google home home automation is nice voice wise but I like having buttons on my phone that I can press
Most of these issues are Android issues as opposed to Note issues. As far as the actual Note goes, I’m loving the camera, loving the screen, loving the S pen, and loving a lot of other little things the Note does.
Just gotta love Android a little more in order to keep it.
Using the 1password keyboard or native Android autofill?I use Autofill with the Samsung browser all the time.
Can’t you use Samsung pass to save your log in details? Then it gives you a prompt and you use your iris/FP to sign in.Using the 1password keyboard or native Android autofill?
Here's the iOS vs Note 1passwodd implementation. Keep in mind the iOS version is a beta of their new software.
Edit:. Seems like u have things slightly mixed up. The Oreo autofill seems to be supported everywhere BUT the Samsung browser (which is the biggest place where it's useful imo)

The screen on this phone is simply beautiful, there is something about it that the colors seem more uniform and "solid" to me. Big props to Samsung continually improving these displays, hopefully the screen the next iPhone X gets is just as good.
I'm seriously loving this phone, it's night and day to me from the Note 8, anyone that says it's simply incremental is wrong, they improved everywhere it matters, and all those small improvements add up. My Note 8 spent most of the past year in a drawer, I can't see anything replacing the Note 9 in the near future, at least until the S10
Curious: which version did you get?
I'm using the 128gb at the moment, my 512gb is back ordered and delayed.
I can tell the difference between FHD+ and WQHD+, my eyes can pick up the lack of sharpness on text very easily, it's a bit of a curse as I tend to pick up details like this even when trying to watch 1080P 60FPS HDR videos I can see the imperfections all over the place.Folsk who have your Note already, are you running at the default FHD+ or WQHD+? It's incremental mate and if your N8 spent most of your year of ownership in a drawer then I expect the N9 to follow it shortly. The screen on this phone is simply beautiful, there is something about it that the colors seem more uniform and "solid" to me. Yup, me too. I've been running my Note8 at WQHD+ from day 1 and would do the same with the Note9.
I can handle video that has imperfections, but Text needs to be sharp and clean.
All the little things add up. After a few days with the Note 8 I knew it wasn't for me, I was very disappointed as I had used the Note 4 and 5 as my go to android phones for a year (and I loved the 7 before having to give it back). It's incremental mate and if your N8 spent most of your year of ownership in a drawer then I expect the N9 to follow it shortly.
I'm having a hard time returning my Essential phone haha. Got it for $300 on Amazon a couple weeks back. I'm not a person who typically keeps more than one phone, but it's so good. I've got until Sept 9th to send it back.I much prefer using my Essential Phone
