My mind
so note 9 users how you liking yours? still as good as when you got it?
I still love using mine but I bought an XS Max on Monday and I'm currently using that as my daily now. My Note 9 appears to be getting day better battery life then my Max but it's still too early to really judge the iPhone. My Note 9 went for 5 days on standby over this last week. I doubt that the iPhone could do that.

Came across this side by side video recording comparison which puts the Note 9 ahead of other top phones.

Unfortunately, it feels like little stutters are starting to creep in. Not much, it's still an overall fast and smooth experience, but I notice it. The pixel is starting to seem more appealing.

I am very happy with my unlocked 512gb Note 9. I have lots of apps and files on it and everything runs great. Like others here, I wish updates would come more quickly. Really great phone.

That's very weird, i got my S9 at launch which as the same CPU and it runs like new, super smooth with no frame drops. That being said even the Pixel 2 started to lag after a while.

These days, it seems Samsungs run quicker and smother than Pixels. MKBHD dumped his Pixel 2 XL because of EXTREME lag. He even went and bought a new Pixel 2XL, didn't help.

Well, I’ll find out soon. I pulled the trigger on a Pixel 3, I found out it’s compatible with AT&T WiFi calling.

Update arrived this morning for my unlocked Note 9 in the US. Looks like October security patch, camera improvements/fixes (including the camera freeze bug according to Reddit users), and general bug fixes.

Linux is coming to DEX.
For those of you who are interested to run Linux on your note 9 can sign up for beta.

Note 9 is going to be very exciting. Fruit phone seems to be a million miles behind.

I’ve been waiting for this since I got my S8+ as that’s when the first information about Linux on DeX (called Linux on Galaxy at that time) was published. Glad I didn’t take a tempting S9+ upgrade offer just a week ago as it seems like I’ll be looking for Black Friday deals on the Note 9. I’ve been wanting to try out a Note and the S-Pen and this one makes it even more enticing.

Excellent news. Given how quickly the power of smartphones is increasing I wonder whether DeX could run windows in the future. Obviously this would necessitate the system on chip being compatible with Windows.

Issue is still happening.

"Been testing my camera since the ARJ5 430MB update earlier this morning. The freezing has come back and it's the exact same behavior as before. Pro mode freezes, and taking pictures while the image is freezing causes the Camera Failed error message."

Think note 9 hardware is capable of running windows. But making it run within Android maybe a bit too complex.

I have registered for the beta but still no apk dowload yet. Let's see how Linux Dex can inter operate at the same time with the Android phone and how seamless it is to share info between them.

In DEX mode, you can use the s-pen as a mouse pointer by just hovering the pen over the screen. Hopefully within Linux DEX the s-pen is supported as well.

The camera's picture quality has improved vastly in my experience, since the October update. I was getting blurry images, especially in low-light before, but now they look fantastic.

The whole thread seems like only one person is complaining about the issue.

Someone try to replicate issue but needed to repeat a certain steps continuously for 6-12 hours before camera freezes. Do you know how ridiculously that is?

You have never experienced it, we get it. You never have any issues with your devices, we get it. But you don't need to make it obvious you are ignoring the facts the device has the issue, and trying to make it out to be only one person when its 100s of people in that thread and other threads on that site.

It did it for me just recording a video at a concert. LOL.

I won't continue to reply as many already know how you are here.
