I borrowed from my friend and used it for a day.. not too bad... easy to type message.. and the screen is really good... not sure if its retina screen.. but the resolution is one of the best....

I know I am not supposed to say anything good about samsung here .. but just want to tell the truth

And once you get the top of the line iphone, you wait 16 months, then get the same fone again

At least it lasts longer than a year before getting replaced. Can you imagine the outrage if Apple released the 5 and then 2 months later pushed out the 5S? That's the kind of but-raping Android users have become accustomed to, and by the sounds of things, you seem to enjoy it.

Be sure to lube up lol!

yes, i know iphone's got a simple minimized look but changing shape of home button and location of couple sensors, it's pretty much the same, but the feel is totally diff..just front look i'm talking about

I guess the 5 inch screen and the smart stylus just isn't different enough?

Do the phones that get "replaced" magically stop working the moment its successor is released? This is only a problem if you're concerned with having the newest toy the moment it's released.

Android powered units don't get "replaced" at 2 month intervals. The RAZR Maxx is the quickest successor I've seen, but it's not really a successor. It's a RAZR with a larger capacity battery stuffed in it.

Yay for going BACKWARDS with technology.

Let's move away from touching the screen and bring back a freaking stylus! THAT'LL SELL US BILLIONS BOB! THAT'S GENIUS!

If it has a stylus, it has failed.

Another tool brainwashed by Steve Jobs

There's a lot of blindness in this thread.

Replacement rate of androids. Boy why is that a big deal? Cars are "refreshed" every year with different equipment. Sometimes certain bits are colored differently. I doubt anyone has a need to change cars at the rate they change underpants. Why do you need to change your phone at the same rate you change socks? And on the flip side if you can afford to change phones every few months well than what's wrong with having a new toy every few months? Either way it shouldn't bother anyone and it's not an indication of Android's inferiority or apple's superiority.

At the same time if it bugs you that new android phones comes out every few months even though you don't use one, it might indicate something about you.

The stylus is great and if Samsung is smart they should patent it for smartphones and tablets (even though it would be a patent troll move) and sue apple if they ever copy it. You know what one of the first thing people who don't follow technology asks me when they see my ipad? "Can I write on it?". And you know what I have never understood why there's no stylus for the ipad. 10 inch of screen and no freaking way to annotate PDFs or write notes at meetings. Blackberry's stupid for not adding a stylus and good pen software to the playbook. It would have made perfect sense for the supposed corporate target audience.

Some people here seems to believe whatever BS Jobs said. Just because he was against a stylus doesn't mean he is right. He was the guy who refused to get surgery proven to be very effective for his cancer. Instead he went on one of his crazy diets to try and cure it himself. It could well be the case he'd still be here if he did go for surgery ASAP. Think about that before you blindly toe the Apple corporate line.

I'll leave you with something to watch from Jobs himself:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQYTvVrBeMk

Think about that too before you adopt whatever he says. He's very good at making you think what he tells you is the only truth. But that clip is him telling you you shouldn't just believe and accept want he tells you because you should be no dumber than him.

I don't think using a stylus is going backwards with technology. Especially if we're able to use them in ways we haven't before. Handwriting on these devices has never been easy.

And using your fingers is like, eating with your hands don't you think? Not with the iPhone of course.

The next NOTE II will have a 7" screen... :D

Remember the original Galaxy Tab... frequently see people talking on the tablet and it was so funny

just another piece of samsung junk:eek:

:apple:

?? tech companies are working hard to provide more products and services and you just call it.. junk? Tsk tsk

Do you think Apple being alone in the market will help it? I mean... just think, Apple products have a chance to shine even more among other offerings....

.....oh who am I kidding?!

To be fair to Samsung, this device is not marketed as a telephone, its a note taking device, perfect for journalists etc.

I do agree on the size of the phones though, it's the one thing that keeps me away from Android is the size of the 'phones'.
