Not exactly true. My 7" Galaxy Tab fits in my jeans front pocket just fine (and also the back pocket on most of my pants).

The 5" Galaxy Note would leave room to spare.

Maybe you should actually SEE some of these devices firsthand before you make inaccurate comments about them?
I didn't say anything about those devices. Maybe you should read other people's comments and answer what they said instead of just restating your arguments to everyone.

Show me one example of a stylus for a tablet that isn't roughly the same size and shape as a ballpoint pen and I'll admit I was wrong.

How about the Nomad capacitive paint brush stylus:

Uh, maybe *you* should go back and read the thread. The 5" Galaxy Note is exactly what ap3604 mentioned in his post (ap3604's post) that you responded to (Link to your post)

So, you're wrong twice. In the same thread. Good job.

Two best buys by me said they aren't a stocked or displayed item yet. How are you guys seeing them there? Or testing them out?

I was questioning why the best buys suck around me now I'm questioning if some people are full of ****.

I suspect there is some stretching of the truth a it by some regarding them playing with one at a Best Buy.
I was at one last night and the local manager of their cell phone department said all Best Buy stores only received the dummy units.
None of them are functional.

Here's one of them. They look good, but don't work. It's just a photo insert under a plastic screen.

I got mine on Amazon two months ago and returned it the same day.
That's not the same device AT&T is selling.
The U.S. version uses a 1.5Ghz Qualcomm chip instead of the 1.4Ghz Exnyos chip used in the EU version.
The U.S. version also doesn't have that huge ugly button in the middle.
It has the traditional 4 capacitive buttons across the bottom.
The GPU is different too, although I'm not having any luck on exactly which one they're using.

The stylus is an extra feature that one can ignore if they choose to. So, no problem there.

I've preordered one after holding out for a 7" iPad which appears to be shelved.

It should be ideal since I carry a laptop case anyway, and welcome the large size for easy & fun web browsing.

Instead of having to scroll as much as one does with a tiny screen, the note will be fantastic for both email & the web.

Why does everyone call it the "big ugly button"..? It looks less cluttered to me than the row capacitive symbols, a la the iPhone itself.

Sure, if you got nothing else taking up space.

Do people keep other stuff in the same pocket as their cell phone? I know all the phones I have had that I never liked keeping anything else in the pocket with it due to the size and shape of the phone does not work really well with other stuff.

A clean row of 4 buttons looks better than a huge button flanked by capacitive button on either side.
Just a personal preference.

Never. My worry is something will scratch my iPhone up.

Geez, the Galaxy Note is already going to be replaced by the Galaxy Note S.

Why even bother buying an android phone when 2-3 months later, the faster, cooler version will be out.

Gee...do most here wish that a new iPhone came out more than it does???? I say yes.

Nothing wrong with choice. Breeds innovation.

The US Att version will not have a big ugly button. That is the international version.
Mine arrives tomorrow or the day after. As an iPhone, iPad, and mac user, I gotta say that I am really looking forward to a much larger phone.

If it sucks...it goes back.

just another piece of samsung junk:eek:

You must be the expert too....:D

Just like the Razr got replaced by the Razr Maxx. I dropped out of the Android game for this very reason. Seems once you get the top of the line Android phone, it's already old in two months.

I guess if Apple made a car and came out with 1 new revised model each year, you would jump right on that train too..

----------

Watching that phone in action on that vid gives me a headache.

Seems like a right mess

Explain...

jeez...ummm the screen swapping, the UI all of it really.

I also stopped at about 4 mins because it was too hard to watch. That may have been because of the way it was filmed to be fair.

Seems you are already too much in Fisher Price UI, shown on a screen designed for 14 year old smallhanded Emo-girlies.

What's sad is it took nearly a year to get a version built for the U.S. market.

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_announces_galaxy_note_and_nexus_roll_out_schedules-news-3322.php

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus got some air time at the event. The Samsung reps talked about ICS and the features of the Galaxy Nexus. It will begin its roll-out on November 17 in Europe and then move on to global availability.

Nov 17th Europe release date -> Feb 17th U.S. release date = 3 months

It's out in the UK now, I used one today. It is, without a doubt, the stupidest and most pointless device I've ever seen in my entire life.
