Marques described the camera as outstanding but not sure why he took too long to review N20 ultra.

Wow the pics look amazing so i wouldn't update this phone unless i am posotive it won't mess around with the Camera and screen colour.

Sounds like the shutter lag is still there from the S20 line....

Thank goodness my 3 year old actually stays still for pictures now. LOL. I'm wondering if burst mode or that single take or single shot, whatever mode that is it's still pretty useful with moving subjects too.

I know I won't keep the Note 20 Ultra if it takes blurry photos.
I love everything about this phone so far. But will not pay $1300 for a phone I cannot depend on to take simple point and shoot pictures of even slow moving objects.

I guess i will see for myself tomorrow when it gets delivered :)

Nobody could review until today

Certainly high price from him as he doesn't often say something so positive normally there's at least some drawbacks

The reason I did not keep the S20 Ultra or S 20 Plus was the shutter lag.

Lags don't produce blurry photos. Poor focus calibration and other adjustments can confuse the main camera resulting in a blurred photos. So far all i saw was perfect and well balanced photos especially the one's from Marques above.

shutter lag is responsible for blurry photos...shutter can't focus as fast on moving objects..results in a blurry photo

100%! That's always been my biggest complaint too. So we'll see how it looks. I will for sure be taking random pictures of my kids to see how things go.

We both are right
sort of...

The most common reason for a blurred photo is because of shutter speed. When shooting handheld, the faster your shutter speed is the less chance there is for camera shake to result in blurry photos.

Yeah I’m really eager to hear how this aspect plays out for you. I hope they finally addressed this. I most definitely don’t have to deal with this on my iPhone 11Pro or SE or the kids’ Xr’s.

My 3XL takes some time to process but that’s not the same thing as shutter lag.

Ack I’m so bummed I canceled my 4a but I didn’t want to take any chances with the display. I’m gonna wait until everything is announced in the Fall and decide then if I want to buy anything. I do have some funds earmarked for any new Apple Watch that gets announced and a new iPad Mini.

The Note 20 Ultra does look amazing. I hope you all enjoy your new Notes!

Oh, funny anecdote...I saw the strangest thing yesterday. I was sorting through some laundry in my bedroom and I happened to look across the room at my nightstand and see my SE fly up about 5 inches into an arc and land on the carpeted floor. I wasn’t anywhere near it. Nothing moving was.

The couple of months I have been finding it or sometimes my other phones on the floor, instead of on the nightstand. But that’s the first time I’ve ever seen how one of them got there without me being the clumsy oaf that knocked it there. I’m glad we’ve got thick carpet in the bedroom. Usually when something goes flying off like that, there is a cat, kid or dog involved. The dog passed away a year ago. Cats and kids were elsewhere. I’m going to be mystified forever, now. o_O

Anybody in the UK had a notification of dpd delivery for 19th August? Haven’t a clue what they’ve dispatched as neither the status on my phone / buds nor the case I ordered have been updated yet.

I've been so close to going for this phone from my 11 Pro Max...but my phone acts as my main camera as its what I have on me all the time. I don't think I can deal with a shutter lag like this :(

Is there some sort of Live Photos type of mode on this phone (I honestly don't know much about Android) that could have some sort of impact on the shutter lag? Or some other mode that could be tweaked or turned off? (wishful thinking)
