Take this advice with a grain of salt as 1) I’m subscribed to Apple Music and 2) I’m on iOS 14 so I’m not sure if the menu options change under both of those conditions.

In Settings > Music, do you have the options to Sync Library and Optimize Storage (under the Downloads subsection)? Not sure if it makes a difference but if you see those AND they are presently both turned on, try turning them off.

Not sure if it’ll help but they’re the only settings I could foresee causing that problem for you. Otherwise, I genuinely think it might be a bug because I only this past 6 months started subscribing to Apple Music and had previously done the same as you—synced my own personal music library to my iPhone without the unfortunate issue you’re experiencing.
If I turn off Sync library. Then I can’t access anything I’ve added to my library from Apple Music.

One nice thing about Samsung/Android is that the music you add, just download it and it's on your device. The only downside is that it appears on a different app but not a huge deal.

I don't know. I had people in the thread about it telling me it's not a big deal.

That’s because it’s not .

I regularly switch between my S20 on 120hz and my 11 Pro and it doesn’t bother me one bit. Is it noticeable, yes, but it’s not a feature that would make or break a purchase decision.

Definitely one of those features that varies by user. I noticed it right away. Wasn't a deal breaker but absolutely love 120hz

Definitely varies by user.

When I got the S20 I showed my Mrs the 120hz in action - she wasn’t impressed.

I think her exact words were:

Whoopee do. So you’ve spent how much to have a slightly smoother phone, you’re mental!

Apologies...your previous post seemed to imply that you weren't using the Apple Music service and didn't want to have to use it to be able to have your own music on your iPhone. I honestly wasn't sure if this setting would make a difference anyways.

What about the second recommendation, turning off Optimize Storage for your downloaded music?

Yeah, that would likely be the reaction from my wife. Anything beyond daily phone basics (making calls, sending messages, using the web) are lost on her. The most complicated thing she does on her phone is access her Amazon Kindle library.

She's an incredibly intelligent woman..a physician...but for her, the feature that excited her the most about upgrading her iPhone was the fact that the iPhone 11 came in purple. ?

My white Note 20 Ultra shipped today!

FedEx use some pretty cool teleportation to be in so many places in a bink of an eye.

It’s. Deal breaker for me as if I’m paying over 1k for a phone it has to have it. If I was paying a £700-£900 phone it’s not a big deal but over a grand I feel I’m being ripped off if it doesn’t have it

You know the iPhone 12 won't have 120hz? Will you still buy a iPhone 12 Pro Max? It should retail for over the 1K limit you mentioned.

I’ve always had that turned off as I have enough space for my music. I have a 256GB iPhone and have over 100GBs free. Even so I have always prioritised my music over everything else going back to my 16GB iPhone 3G.

I will believe it when I see it! lol I think you have said this before only get the latest iPhone ;)

Lol I just can’t see what the event will bring to make me to go back. We will see though I can tend to be a flip flop. I’m very impressed from what I have seen with the note ultra so far

Not giving you a hard time so to speak...but I say that about the new iPhone every year.
No reason to upgrade because it doesn't have much that my current iPhone has....only get pre-order it!

True, apple marketing always makes it sound so good even when there are better phones out there

See I don’t say I won’t get the latest iPhone, I always do. It’s several months later when I realise it feels exactly the same as the previous model!
