I've been so close to going for this phone from my 11 Pro Max...but my phone acts as my main camera as its what I have on me all the time. I don't think I can deal with a shutter lag like this :(

Is there some sort of Live Photos type of mode on this phone (I honestly don't know much about Android) that could have some sort of impact on the shutter lag? Or some other mode that could be tweaked or turned off? (wishful thinking)
There are live photos, which is a solution. Or burst mode. Single shot too. So there are work arounds.

Phone seems great. Probably the best Android phone you can buy right now. I'm still sitting this one out. Just don't see enough to jump from a S20 plus, but sounds like anyone that gets this phone will be happy with it.

I would've been really tempted if it had a new fingerprint sensor or 120hz at QHD.

If you are a not big SPen user, there probably isn't any compelling reason to jump from the S20 plus to the Note 20 Ultra.

I do love my SPen though, so I sit out the S's.

A new fingerprint sensor probably would have reeled me in. I’m really struggling with the one on my S20. Face Unlock doesn’t work as reliably as the one on the iPhone, but it does help.

Mine's arrived. Just going through the setup process at the moment.

First impressions are that its BIG! (But we all knew this). Screen is fantastic. Its super quick. I'll provide a more detailed review later once I've got my apps installed and have had a play

Samsung has an even better solution, called Single take. You take the shot once, and the device will automatically take several photos AND videos with some AI edits to give you selections on what captured the moment best. I really want to buy a Samsung just for this feature.

I only had the S20 Ultra for like a day before I won a free iPhone, lol. But what I did see of this feature, I liked. It's not a perfect solution for blurry photos but I'm for sure going to see how it holds up.

So far no negative reports about the N20 U camera. If Samsung didn't fix my Note 10+ burned screen i will certainly skip N20.

Do u need your phone with you to use Samsung pay on the watch? I can’t bloody decide which size watch to get.... I’ve seen them in car phone warehouse but you can’t even pick up them useless.

is there anywhere that has good returns to order both to see which fits and return the other?

I really wish they would stop calling this shutter lag its obvious what Samsung have done

Like a true SLR etc they have linked the button response and screen to the exposure

This gives the impression of lag but in truth it's the real time the exposure is taking, they could of simply made it so the screen and button looked instantaneous and the preview etc followed X milliseconds later which is what I expect other OEM's maybe doing

There certainly seems a case that the Galaxy's are more aperture bias than shutter speed so unless you have the old preset action shot adhoc snaps of moving objects are easily blurred, simply dialing up the ISO will correct this as a default

I tried a series of shots on a local building that has a bright strobe nav warning light that flashes every second its almost impossible other than by fluke to capture this regardless of timing and so called lag ie hit the button before or after flash does not show lag

This so called lag is a perception and like the damping other OEM's apply to scrolling that is often mistaken as stuttering on faster screens Samsung are giving you true representation and not metred fix

The blurred shots are another issue related to bias to aperture priority IMO and Samsung need to bring back action shot setting opposed to default Pro settings for simplification
