Yes you're probably right about that. I think I'll skip it though since I plan to trade it in for the S10 within a month. Animation lag is such a minor thing and I did mitigate it by changing my settings. The only animation lag i get is in snapchat when i swipe left to bring up my friends list which has been there for as long as i can remember (App issue) I'm really sensitive to frame rate drops and i don't see any lag since installing One UI. I would say you probably just need a factory reset to give it a good "clean out"
I had not planned to preorder but can't pass up an opportunity to get top dollar for my old phone without having to deal with a buyer directly. There's certainly some risks associated with doing trade ins on Samsung's terms, but I'll take that option as preferable to the alternatives.
And I'll get the chance to use the wide angle lens on my next trip to anywhere interesting. Not that I have anything planned, but the moment I can get away for a day to the museum I am going. My husband and I managed to grab a very short trip away after wrangling some care for his parents during our short school holidays. We literally threw our bags in the car and ran for it. I even threw in the bags of laundry I was in the middle of doing!
I've been wanting a wide angle lens on the phone since I saw LG offer it and saw the kinds of pictures one could get from such a lens. It's going to be even better now, because it appears all of the manufacturers who use a wide angle lens have developed software that mitigates distortion. I am so excited about the wide angle lens alone!
