Wonder how this type of functionality will, if any, affect battery longevity.
Huawei has a form of this functionality but I guess it hasn't really been out long enough for anyone to make any determinations. Super Saf said it works very slowly on his Mate 20 Pro.

Yep my Note 9 was good for Kindle whilst flying

I need 1TB of storage like a hole in the head but that ceramic white is appealing :)
I really don't have any idea as to the pros and cons of a ceramic chassis. Does anyone here know anything about that?

Ceramic is scratch resistant and doesn't corrode, it's also better for heat transfer and for an improved signal.

Those are huge phones, I thought the max was at the limit. It's cool charging the buds from the phone, but then one can't use the phone, although Apple is reported to have some similar capability in 2019.
Apple is rumored to have a similar function on the 2019 iPhones. But I'm guessing they won't add the headphone jack the S10 will have?

The headphone jack is definitely something useful to have. My AirPods are knackered now and once they stop working that’s it. I have some AKG Bluetooth headphone which also have a 3.5 mm jack. So once the battery has been depleted in a few years I could still carry on using them with a jack.

I will probably get the S10+ even though I'm oddly intimidated by such a huge expanse of high resolution display. :D I would love to get that 4100 mAh battery.

Most likely white and silver for the color.
[doublepost=1550534623][/doublepost]Holy Cow I just dropped my S9+ on the asphalt parking lot of the restaurant we are stopping at. :eek:It bounced twice and did flips.:eek:

It's in the Samsung folio case and the case and phone emerged unscathed. Whew! I was thinking there goes my $550 trade in!

I don't have a Sim in it so I really should stop carrying it around. I had it on my lap but forgot I hadn't put it back in my purse. I've got my 3XL, Xr and S9+ all with me.

Wow it seems s10 is attracting massive media attention even better than iphones, it not a revolutionary after all but certainly a beast.

I feel sorry for note 9, short lived fame and will be striped of its throne in a few days lol.

I think the lack of a headphone jack is a safe bet for 2019 Apple phones.
Which stinks. That forces you to buy their poor designed wireless earbuds. I really like the in ear as oppsed to the old style hang on the ear that apple still uses. Yeah they may go in some, but not near as well and i hate the stems hanging out down your ear. Well I guess you don't have to buy theirs, and get another brand. But I always see Apple phone users with the Apple buds. Haven't seen one person use something else. Maybe you can't?

In any case I like to have the option to use wireless or wired and have used both often.

I have just been lurking cause I am not getting any of them.

Yeah, right. Just cannot decide which, Damn.
I'm not either but I like to get info here about things, even if I won't get it. Only way I'd get it.....my Son needs a new phone soon and I can give him my S9 and get the S10 but then,... I don't have a trade in so probably not.

However, I don't know how long the Samsung trade in is for. Guess I should go to their website and perhaps make myself available for pre order,....unless TMobile plans to do this as well.
I have 4 sets of bt headphones. The second most recent purchase is the qc ii, followed by AirPods. If I want I have lightning connected EarPods that came with the max. All in all I would like a headphone jack but it’s not a sticking point with me. For me, the AirPods are the height of convenience and I’ve been told voice quality is excellent on calls.

You can use whatever Bluetooth headphones you want and with older phones any wired headphones. I’ve noticed that the AKG Bluetooth headphones I’ve got seem to drain less battery over Bluetooth than my AirPods. I don’t know if it’s just because the AirPods are older and are having lots of performance issues now.

I still haven't decided what I want. I know what I want, but I dread a curved screen. It's between the middle and top model for me. Though, I wonder how much storage and RAM the Note 10 will have.

You know, it never occurred to me to ask you which AKG bluetooth headphones you use. I presumed cans the other night.

However I think it may be academic as it's more likely to be a colour description than the actual material :(
No. It's ceramic, but not the ceramic you're thinking of. There are types of ceramics that are very hard and not brittle. There's a few ways to get a general idea of what ceramic Apple used in their one watch but it requires destruction of the watch to get an idea. Hybrid materials like lithium disilicate ceramic are incredibly strong in small amounts. It wouldn't be unheard of for it to be used in a watch body. It's also inert, so it won't cause allergic reactions. That type of ceramic is used in the mouth and can endure pressure a watch won't experience.

I think it will be. I’ve been excited about the in screen FPS for a few years now. Every year it was supposed to be in the note and then it wasn’t and now it’s finally here. I like cameras so I want the wide angle camera and the reverse wireless charging.

I’m using the AKG Y50BTs. I’m not an audiophile but they are quite decent sounding and don’t cost a lot.

I’ve tried having 2 phones for the last 3 years and I couldn’t do it. I can only use one phone because of the way I use a phone. It’s my primary computer (I have other computers) so it makes the other one redundant.
