I always thought the fingerprint scanner on the S9 was slow so it wouldn’t be difficult to be faster.
I have a question for any fellow s10 users. In dark mode on the dialer app is the background completely black? On my s9 it was but on my s10 it's a dark grey which is very weird.
My S10 won’t be here until tomorrow but on my Note 9 it’s completely black too.
Out of interest, are you going to stick with on screen buttons or switch to the gestures?
Sorry I just checked it doesn't as of now, but I'm sure I heard there will be an update for it. Either way I can assure you the FPS is very good for a first Gen feature.

On the home screen say if you have wake set with a Samsung case it's always on or if you wake with the power button

Thats weird, I asked my friend in Australia who also got the S10 today and his is dark grey as-well. Looks like different versions on One Ui or different screen calibrations. If I go into an app that has a back background on both phones they both show as black, so its seems like a One UI difference in night mode.

Is there a tap to wake or is it just rise to wake?
Try toggling between Vivid and Natural, natural seems to give a slight grey cast it may also vary with adjusting white balance
You can see if it's true black by putting brightness to max only the white changes intensity

I’ve heard people say to change it to vivid
That's what I found on Vivid pure black on dialer and backgrounds where the message box is in a grayer tone in say email app compared to black background
I take anything this article's author says with a grain of salt, however it is interesting if true...
