Im used to the size and weight from using the Pro Max. Not that I enjoy it. The past week using a Pixel 4XL has been a joy in terms of the size. It’s just about perfect in that regard.
Ive been using the Pro Max this whole week. It is a heavy phone but a joy to use. Trying to get myself used to a bigger phone after using the P4XL as my daily driver the last couple of weeks.

Yeah for a Note, bigger is better. Writing on the Note 10+ was a bit cramped. I think I’d like it the size of the little Nexus 7 tablet I borrowed from my husband for awhile. That wasn’t even a full screen device. It had big bezels.

I probably won’t shell out for another Note until they do something about biometrics, though. I don’t really know. I say all sorts of things and then the phones come out and I lose my pea brain over them. My husband is mocking me but he does the same exact thing. He kept saying he wasn’t interested in the Ultra and then he went and preordered it. He did get the 128 GB black one.

I like black and I like grey. I’m glad I didn’t have to choose between them. At first I didn’t like the grey but now it’s grown on me.
This was a good reason for getting the Fold :)

All these new releases are just not tempting enough and you can't even trade in the Fold as its worth more LOL

You would not need a mini tablet or a Kindle, you only loose the S-Pen from your note and saved on all those device swapping

A Fold and a Flip would be the perfect combo for you and your legacy IOS device :D

Now a Fold V2 with S-Pen that would be something to look forward too

IMO, they are both as equally ugly. If the Pro Max lenses were under the glass, it would look so much more polished.

I really don't like the double hump of the iPhone, would have looked better flush, looks like my philishave, the 20 looks pretty ugly too.

But you know what? it doesn't really matter, they're both functional and I don't really look at the cameras much anyway.

I'm assuming we'll have to wait until after release to see how the SD performs against the Exynos. Not interested if either is quicker because you won't notice it, but in battery life there's usually an hour or two difference beteen them.

Thanks, I just don’t want to lose WiFi calling or visual VM.
You won't. I have an unlocked note 10+ and both features work.

Ordered the grey 128gb ultra. I'm likely being hyperbolic but I don't see his you improve a phone beyond the ultra (pending changes in sensor or battery tech to reduce size, which doesn't matter to me). I think the new foldable form factor is where innovation has to come now.

Yeah, I think that's where the Fold is heading... however I don't see it coming in version 2. I think it's a few years away for Samsung to go with the S-Pen. The Fold is still in its infancy stages.

Samsung needs to work on trying to make it less bulky and into a viable product that customers can purchase, not that I'm saying it's not good. But the price is too high... we need more reassurance that the screen is durable enough.

I got play around with a S20+ at a Verizon store. It was tethered down pretty tight so didn't get to really get my hands on it so to speak. But wow what a nice device. It was next to the Note 10+ and they were the same size! They didn't have an Ultra on display yet. The reps said tomorrow because the manager was using it :)
Oh I’m glad I didn’t impulsively switch to the S20+ then. There was always a couple of temptations to choose that one. I had to keep reminding myself I would really appreciate an updated second more carry-friendly phone than I would a beast of burden at this point. My Pixel 2 is still a great little backup phone but its display has some pink blob going on and is difficult to see in the dark due to a bad case of black smearing. I wanted to replace it with something smallish and cute. The pink S20 is definitely that.

I’ll splurge on a big screen beast again some other time. I’m keenly interested in the Pixels this year. Even the budget one. I’m keeping options wide open for later in the year. The only seriously doubtful upgrade would be the iPhone. But we shall see.

The Pixel is the one I am most interested in to be honest. I wish they would make the XL a tad bigger at like 6.5 or even 6.7 but not any bigger

I love my 11Pro like a fuzzy kitten. But it’s such a bear to keep the lenses clean. I’m referring to both the glass but especially to the area around the raised rings. I keep my hands clean. I launder my clothes, of course, and on top of doing that, I regularly vacuum out my pockets and the purse pockets my phones go into to remove any damaging grit. And I still somehow end up with gunk on and around the lenses. And judging from photos of other people’s iPhones I’m not alone. Every review photo reveals a ring of something around the lenses. The last phone with which I had such a horrible issue of this kind was my HTC10. It lacked an oleophobic coating on the lens. I spent as much time wiping down that lens as I did taking photos.

Camera and video seems very impressive bit surprised not seen more comparisons of pets or people as I feel that’s where the pixel and iPhone shines the most

The Ultra shines in video. The video stabilization is soo good! Low Light video and pictures seem to be great!

It appears the us release is ahead of the uk. I pre ordered on 13th feb and got a 9th March ship date but some on here have pre ordered on 21st feb and got a ship date of 3rd March!

Bloody uk again. We never get decent deals on new Samsung's and now delivery date is behind!

I'm not bitter........honestly! :)

Touched an S20+ at Target last night, it does feel and look excellent. It was locked down so I couldn’t pick it up. Scrolling is so smooth, that screen is just awesome. Glad I pre ordered the S20+ I was worried it’d be too big but it feels a little smaller to me than the Note 10+ did.

Just checked out the S20 Ultra and I'm really glad I'm staying put with the Note 10+. Not paying $900 after trading in my 512gb for another 512gb. Just not enough of an upgrade even though it is impressive. Maybe if it was more like $400.

I will be waiting for the next Note or may be probably iphone. My last apple phone was iphone4 so it'll be interesting to go back after 10 years.

Yeah I'm holding out for the next Note too. I love the S-Pen too so I'd hate to lose that.

I just got out of the Best Buy. They’re all nice phones ergonomically speaking. Maybe a bit tall and narrow for viewing videos. But I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and light and manageable the Ultra felt, if you like big phones. I still would have a bit of difficulty with it and my current purses. But it’s not some monster like some of the journalists made it out to be. I don’t know, I just found it pleasant.

I was pleased with the digital zoom results on the S20. I thought the Ultra zoom looked good but my husband wasn’t all that impressed.

I was blown away by the displays having such high ppi on offer. The little S20 has the highest ppi and the clarity and details I could see on it was stunning. I am so excited to have this phone on pre order!
