Does anyone know if I can still use iMessage on my iPad Pro after putting my SIM card into my S21 Ultra? I’m still keeping my iPad Pro and Mac.
Pretty sure it’ll just run iMessage off your email address instead. I’m not 100% though

Set them all up. Here are my first impressions.

I really like the silver colour more than I thought I would. It’s like a matt version of the Aurora glow on the Note 10.

The screen isn’t as curved as I had hoped it would be. Barely even noticeable really.

The screen looks amazing. It’s all new and I’m still finding my way around.

The first thing I noticed about the Watch 3, it doesn’t feel as premium as my Stainless Steel Apple Watch S4. Even tho the Watch 3 is the stainless steel version that I ordered. Also I’m not too sure about the round Watch face vs the flat that I’m use too on the Apple Watch.

will keep you guys updated and no doubt i will have questions about how to do certain things 🤣

Yeah, that Samsung Watch is gonna be let-down coming from a Apple Watch... that's why I didn't bother buying it. I'm more interested in what Google does with WearOS.... Google has a more established PlayStore... that's what I am keeping an eye on.

I've researched a few Android Watches, but nothing has given me any reason to buy... hopefully Google provides a major update to WearOS this year.

I’ve got 28 days and I wanted to see the ecosystem with the watch and S21 Ultra. I’m going to be testing it out on my runs and so on. ive turned my iPhone and Apple Watch off and put them in a draw. I will see how it goes over the next few weeks (up to 28 days).

yeah my experience it really couldn't compare. galaxy watch as solid as it is was frustrating coming from the Apple Watch. would say Apple Watch played a big factor in having the 12 pro max as my daily. notifications was beyond frustrating knowing they would never come through on time.

It can't compare.. I knew it before even attempting to buy it. And review after review of Android or Samsung Watches constantly shows how inferior it is to the Apple Watches. Sometimes, I disregard reviews of products.. try and view from my own perspective.

But when there's an alarming amount of reviews saying the same thing. Then yeah, its best to just don't go against it. The only major advantage Android has going for itself is Google Search, if only they can make some solid hardware for WearOS and put together solid software behind their group of apps.

There's billions of people that use Google Search, GMail and Google Maps... they just need to take it more serious... I'm anxious to buy one.

I'm curious if you had a lemon. I have never had that problem.

I've said this before but having owned several Apple Watches and Galaxy Watches, I really don't see much of a difference. I think both have strengths and weaknesses, but the Apple Watch itself would not say me to return to iOS.

Been the same with every galaxy watch/Samsung device I’ve ever had. Having a Samsung phone as my 2nd device it’s a non issue but as my daily I would get texts through straight away and sport scores but everything else was late by a good 7-10 mins. Often I would get all of them coming through at once which was a big turn off for me. It’s a known issue with android devices but guess it depends on on how many notifications people get through each day. I get a ton so for me might be different to others. Maybe this has been fixed as got to admit I don’t use my fold as often as my iPhone to check on notifications hit it does appear better than it was on previous updates so pre android 11 so might have been a fix with the latest OS with one UI 3.0

Still it was more than just that put me off galaxy watch. Apps and fitness simply better on the Apple Watch but for basics galaxy watch is fine for most

Update:
Since my phone went back into the learning my usage, it has learned again. My battery life has taken another jump since it finished learning the first time. 28 hrs of battery, 3.25 hours of screen time, 7.5 hours of talk time. I'm more than satisfied now. I'm confident that with light usage, I could go two days on a charge.

I’ve done my first run this evening with the watch. Very frustrating, trying to get music to sync, play and then the GPS didn’t track all of my run. Cut corner off and would often say that my heart rate was lower than it was.

Overall I’m not impressed on the first day with the Watch. Feels very cheap and plasticky compared to the premium of the Apple Watch SS. Will see what tomorrow is like.

When I had my AW... I tend to do quite a bit of audio playback through it. And I understand your frustration. You might have to do what @The Game 161 does. Keep both phones, that way you'll have access to the AW.

Just to confirm is Google removing SD access for Android period or is this a Samsung only thing?

I'm reading how android is changing how the os reads storage thus making SD no longer a reality.

They haven't lost sd access per se. They don't have an sd card slot onboard. You can still load one via USB and access it as per usual. For example, Friday I was emailed a contract that required a hard copy signature instead of electronic signature. I pulled it up on my phone, printed it, scanned it to a thumb drive (from the printer), copied it to my phone from the thumb drive, and emailed it back to the account exec.

TBH I don't know how you can't notice a difference. I like Samsung and their watches are good enough, but the AppleWatch is leaps and bounds better.

So the OS remains the same, they're not changing how the OS reads EX storage?

I actually agree with mjschabow. I don't see much difference either besides ecosystem. For me, I don't have a desire to use my watch for anything besides tracking workouts, caller id, a quick text reply, taking a quick call, and maybe paying for something. Outside of that, I don't really find it practical for much else. With that in mind, I don't find much difference in the experience between most smartwatches. My girlfriend who uses an iPhone and Apple Watch actually feels similarly, and is actually considering going back to a fitbit because she doesn't like the way the Apple Watch handles her workouts. That said, I don't know that I would say any smartwatch is leaps and bounds ahead of any other smartwatch. I think they are all pretty close to each other.
