Now that the Spigen Neoflex has gotten to settle in even more since installation about 7 hours ago, I can barely tell it is on there. FPS works normally and that's without the touch sensitivity turned up! Lol yeah I forgot to turn it back on. Because I thought it was already on. So it's working even on a normal setting. I still have a couple of small stubborn bubbles that should settle out in a day or two. I guess this is as close as I'm going to get to factory installed. I'm still mad Samsung decided not to give the USA a pre-installed screen protector. I blame Apple. They encourage everyone to think American customers will put up with skimping on extras. 🤣

So anyway I'm using Samsung's rugged black case and the Spigen Neo Flex film protector. Im mainly using this case for the kickstand which also helps me hold the phone more comfortably.
Omg I had no idea that touch sensitivity option was a thing. And designed just for screen protectors. I just turned it on and will see if mine improves!

On another note day 3 of being back on vivid and my eyes and head feel the same as standard now. I think my body just had to adjust.

I'm sorry I didn't know you hadn't heard about that setting! I hope it helps you with the Amfilm one you're using. I do recommend the Spigen one if it doesn't work out for you. I don't even have the setting turned on and my FPS is working fine with my left index finger. My thumb prints can be hit or miss. The index finger rarely fails.

512GB is a lot of storage, I wonder if people are buying that one because of the 16GB Ram as well (compared to the 12GB on the other versions).

The S21 lineup seems to be doing well here in the U.K. also. There are a few reports about them outselling previous S models.
I bought the 512gb because of the lack of expandable storage. I kept about 200gb of stuff on my sd card. For me that would have meant I wouldn't have had much space (if any) had I gone with the 256gb. So for me, the 512 was a given.

I'm so so so happy I didn't let my husband talk me out of getting 512 GB. I've got 166 GB already used. I checked and the bulk of that seems to be videos I took on my older Samsung. I didn't realize I took so many videos on Android but now I remember I thought the audio on the older iPhones was crap. That was before they got stereo recording capability. So every time I could bring two phones with me I was recording video and that all got saved on my SD card and brought over now to the new phone.

When I get new iphones I don't think videos from the old iPhones comes over to my current iPhone. It's all in the cloud and I just have so sort of compressed version or thumbnail representation until I actually go to open the file and then it comes down from the cloud.

I just checked my iPhone and it shows only 32.8 GB out of 512 used. And iPhones were my main phones for the last two years. I didn't use my Note 10 much nor my S20.

Iphone is more aggressive than Samsung about getting you to conserve on-board space.

I suppose 256 GB would have sufficed for my 12 Pro Max. But I do also have another iPhone which I recorded a significant amount of photos and videos on, namely my 12 mini. I don't have it handy to see how much storage I've used up on photos and videos but I'll need to add that to get my iOS total.

I like having the stuff stored on my phone and in the cloud. I'm going to keep splurging on storage if I stay with Samsung.

I’m only using like 56GB on my fold 2 and using 108GB on my 12 pro max that’s included 22gb worth of iTunes movies as well. Both models are 256GB so dunno if my next phone should be 512GB

im sure I will be talking more photos this year though and video as my wife and I are expecting our first child so I’m sure video taking will eat into that storage quicker I imagine

The wait time for the custom brown S21 Ultra is currently 2-4 weeks, however getting a charger and the clear view case with s-pen is 10-14 days.

Adding all this together it costs more (even with my perks at work/Blue Light Card discount) than the Note 20 Ultra, especially considering the Note 20 Ultra is currently on offer with 15% off for valentines day offer.

Congratulations! Yes you will definitely be taking more pictures. However it depends on how you want to store them. I take a lot of pictures of my kids. I have a 256GB iPhone and then subscribe to the 2TB iCloud plan do I’ve plenty of space for pictures.

How much do you get off with the blue light discount card?

It’s 10% or more with Samsung. I can get the S21 Ultra at the following prices:

£1,034.10 - 128GB, 12GB Ram
£1,079.10 - 256GB, 12GB Ram
£1,196.10 - 512GB, 16GB Ram

But the Note 20 Ultra is now £1,002.15 and it comes with a charger lol.

Took the kiddos to Disney On Ice last night and was in the 2nd to back row. The 10x Zoom is amazing! Now, about half the pics came out blurry because the characters were moving and it was dark. Obviously very challenging conditions to be shooting photos. But I'm sold on this camera being the best on the market with its versatility.

Thanks and yeah I have the 200GB plan so currently more than enough. 256GB should be the sweet spot.

This is certainly where those 10x and 30x shots are very useful. This is a real case where it’s great to have that level of zoom

Glad you finally pulled the trigger. You would only regret not doing it. Can always return it if not to your expections
Yea I have 28 days to decide. But this time I purchased the Galaxy Watch 3 as well to get the full experience and not be so dependent on the Apple Watch while using The S21 Ultra.

It’s a good watch and the best one if you have an android device. For my needs wasn’t comparable to the Apple Watch but is a good watch certainly for the basics

I don’t use apps on my Apple Watch except for the fitness aspect for running. Other than that it’s just to tell the time and receive txt messages.

I’m hoping the battery life will be better than on the Note 20 Ultra I had and that the Exynos will also be better. I don’t game on my phones (I have a PS5 for that) but I do love a decent camera, great display and at least decent battery life to see me through the day.

Battery life shouldn’t be an issue this time I don’t think. Videos I’ve seen the difference is 5% worse on exynos to SD. Should still last all day

I hear the battery life is good on the watch 3 as well (compared to my Apple Watch S4).

For me battery life about the same as my series 6. With AOD my experience was similar
That’s good then, if they live up to expectations I will sell my iPhone 11 Pro Max and S4 Apple Watch.

I’m looking forward to trying both the S21 Ultra and the Galaxy Watch 3.
