I did too, a scammer filed a claim that someone used his CC unauthorized...Oh same here. I almost got screwed out of $1,000 on swappa because I sold to a scammer. Thankfully paypal backed me up.
To noobinator's point, having one of each is nice. My iPhone 11 through work has helped. My work only half locks it down so I can just switch to it whenever I want.
512GB is a lot of storage, I wonder if people are buying that one because of the 16GB Ram as well (compared to the 12GB on the other versions).512 GB Ultra out of stock in Australia wow.
Here's an article about Google Play Services in regards to battery drainPretty sad battery life for the first day.
Hardly used it at all, and it drained pretty fast.
Also not super enamored with the camera.
Oh man. Glad it turned out well for you too. Makes me never want to sell anything again. This guy was awful from the start. Didn't tell me that his shipping address was a Reshipper service to Paraguay, immediately said after I shipped that he probably won't get it because USPS has given him problems, and then finally claimed with PayPal that someone else authorized the charge. I normally hate Paypal but they were actually really good throughout this. Talked with a supervisor and explained the whole thing and proved to her that this guy really did want the phone and she assured me that I would bear no responsibility for this.I did too, a scammer filed a claim that someone used his CC unauthorized...
long story short he got his money back and kept the phone I sent him but PP said I was a good customer and ate the charges.
They lost like 650 since I sold a 11 basic at the time.
It's a shame how people can do this with a straight face and think nothing of it, clearly I kept asking PP why he can't return my phone.
Man, so many shaky people out there man....
I think I used 164 gb last time I looked so I'm glad I didn't get 128 GB as I often have in the past because that was the only option offered. I had more stored on my SD card than I'd thought after so many years! 512 gives me lots of wiggle room to play with all the storage chomping camera features I have always been so conservative with.512GB is a lot of storage, I wonder if people are buying that one because of the 16GB Ram as well (compared to the 12GB on the other versions).
The S21 lineup seems to be doing well here in the U.K. also. There are a few reports about them outselling previous S models.
Do Samsung/Android phones use up more storage than iPhones? For example my 11 Pro Max is only the 64GB version and I have 24.4GB of storage left. But I do have 50GB of iCloud storage as well.I think I used 164 gb last time I looked so I'm glad I didn't get 128 GB as I often have in the past because that was the only option offered. I'm not really sure but it seems that way to me. I'm always shocked how little of my iPhone storage I end up using. But I think there's something about storage on both platforms that's a bit too technical for me to explain that other people here could, where the more storage you have, the systems poof out and take up what is available. So no matter what size you get the system takes up roughly the same percentage of it, skewing your perception of how much you could actually get by with. Lol it sort of "manspreads". But don't take that as gospel. I'm not the techie around here. I'm more the comic relief and lifestyle person! I read a LOT of articles but I don't necessarily have the foundation knowledge to always get it right.Do Samsung/Android phones use up more storage than iPhones? I still haven't found the answer to the question you asked and even my husband said he didn't know. But this fellow is a fantastic resource to explain how things work:Do Samsung/Android phones use up more storage than iPhones? Yea I’m not massively tech savvy, which is mainly why I have stuck with iPhone for so long because Android has seemed so overwhelming with so many customisation options, that however is a great thing. I really enjoyed using the Note 20 Ultra last year (I only sent it back because if the bad battery life on the Exynos version for us in the UK).I'm not really sure but it seems that way to me. I think what also is going on is iOS is set up on my phones to more aggressively optimize my on board storage to shove things over to the cloud and leave me looking at thumbnails of things I think are stored in their entirety locally but are really not. Once I insisted I wanted the real deal on my iPhone so I changed an optimization setting and my 256 GB storage started filling up at an alarming rate. Like inflating a rubber raft in a closet. I screamed and tossed the phone at my husband and he had to "fix" it for me. ?
The trade ins are enough to keep me loyal to Samsung too. Too think that a year from now, I can upgrade to the S22 Ultra for about $300-$400 and own my phone outright is pretty awesome. And they are also the only company to offer the trade in discount at time of purchase, which I think is brilliant.Yea I’m not massively tech savvy, which is mainly why I have stuck with iPhone for so long because Android has seemed so overwhelming with so many customisation options, that however is a great thing. The main reason I mention storage is because I have a discount through a perks at work.
The 128gb version is £1,034.10
the 256GB is £1,079.10
and the 512GB is £1,196.10.
Those discounts made me wonder if its worth the extra from the 256GB to go to 512GB which would also include extra Ram (16GB Ram instead of 12GB). Or if saving the extra £117 and putting it towards the Galaxy Watch 3 would be a better plan.
Samsung do some really good offers, especially compared to Apple. using the same discount on Apples website only gives 2% off the iPhone which is insane when compared to the 10% from Samsung (also it doesn’t Include the iPhone 12 Pro).
Yea I checked that out as well and I can get £500 for my iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB, that’s pretty good i think. The trade ins are enough to keep me loyal to Samsung too. I've actually had great experiences with their online chat. Friendly and they have always addressed the problem.Good lord Samsung customer service. God help the hearing impaired who want to avoid phone calls. I hate phone support. Their chat system is very uh corporate
Yes that really is for a trade in. I know Samsung has gotten some press for trade in issues, but I've never had any.Yea I checked that out as well and I can get £500 for my iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB, that’s pretty good i think.
about right when you compare it to other comparison sites.Yea I checked that out as well and I can get £500 for my iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB, that’s pretty good i think.
I’m debating also getting the Galaxy Watch 3 along with it. There’s an extra discount from my works perk if I buy it alongside the phone, so the Galaxy Watch 3, 45mm version would cost £258.about right when you compare it to other comparison sites.
you might as well pull the trigger you are too tempted not to do it. if all else fails just return it like with the note ultra
This is true. On my soon to be returned 128GB Ultra system uses 23.11. With the recent $200 discount being offered I ordered a 512GB from Samsung and they price matched Best Buy. I also got $100 to use for accessories. Anyway, the system in the 512 model is using 49.59GB of storage. I don't remember iPhones behaving this way but I could be wrong.I'm not really sure but it seems that way to me. I'm always shocked how little of my iPhone storage I end up using. Be careful as they drop the price of trade in when you use the perks at work / BlueLightCard version of their site. I just checked and the 11 pro max 64gb says £390Yea I checked that out as well and I can get £500 for my iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB, that’s pretty good i think.
When I reached the correct department the first time and was told I was connected to someone I typed my issue (about the missing smart tag) and waited and waited and waited. I asked if anyone was there. Grass grew. Kids graduated and went off to make their fortunes. Finally I reinitiated the chat and got someone in their promotions department which was the wrong department and she sent me a chat link that just sent me in a circle. This time though the option to connect to an agent was not there. I could only see my order, which I can do myself or cancel my order or do a couple other preset options I didn't want or need.I've actually had great experiences with their online chat. Friendly and they have always addressed the problem.
I'm pretty sure it does the same in iOS.This is true. On my soon to be returned 128GB Ultra system uses 23.11. This is my go to setup.I’m interested to see what people have done with their home screens - specifically where you’re coming from an iPhone.
I'm still working on mine. I'm figuring out what apps I want and the ones I'm ditching. I never thought I'd ditch Samsung browser but Duck Duck Go has been great so far. My husband’s recommending I try Microsoft Edge.I’m interested to see what people have done with their home screens - specifically where you’re coming from an iPhone.
