I've been a serial phone seller/buyer re-buy re-sell etc going back and forth between Android and iOS. I've finally decided the only answer is to keep one of each and be able to decide daily which I want to immerse myself in. :)

Expensive short term but will definitely save me money long term from buying and selling!

haha which is an expensive game getting your money back on everything. I learnt that the hard way. If only I had decided to just get android phone as a 2nd phone from the start it would have all been avoided. you live and learn ha

I know I will be tempted by The S21 Ultra and have been for a while but staying strong for now.
Oh same here. I almost got screwed out of $1,000 on swappa because I sold to a scammer. Thankfully paypal backed me up.

To noobinator's point, having one of each is nice. My iPhone 11 through work has helped. My work only half locks it down so I can just switch to it whenever I want.

Very true, with how easy it is to get phones on payment plans you can justify it by saying it’s only £30 a month lol but I get not everybody wants to take that route but the amount people spend just by selling and re-buying it’s not too bad in the long run

I feel the same, however my "financial advisor" would not allow it :p

Yeah good to see best of both worlds really. Many People who bash the other don’t take time to truely experience both platforms which can give people only one way to look at devices

Lol finally had enough and ripped the faux screen protector off. FPS works like a charm now!

The only serious issue I'm having with it now is that I keep taking "breaks" to play with it when I have some stuff to get done today. Lol

The zoom was such a great asset to have where I live. I was in my kitchen and saw a feral cat out next to my outbuilding. It was far enough I could barely see a cat at all, let alone know if it's one I haven't fed yet this morning. So I grabbed my Ultra and zoomed in to 100x and even though the image was of course a bit watercolors looking, it was quite adequate to help me identify the cat, who'd already been taken care of this morning. I know a pair of binoculars could do the same thing, but it was cool that the phone was already with me and I didn't have to go hunting around for the binoculars!

And may I say Samsung absolutely nailed it with this finish. I love my gold 12 Pro Max. It's gorgeous. But to be able to appreciate that I have to wipe it down with a micro fiber cloth. Sometimes I have to use spare wipes from old screen protector packets to get odd discoloration off areas around the lenses and buttons. Then I have to use the cloth or wear gloves to get the phone into my clear case before the fingerprints can get on it. Just a couple of accidental touches can leave it looking so messed up on the shiny gold sides. It's crazy how marked up looking it can get. The 12 mini isn't like that. Anyway Apple made a very impractical decision making the sides flat and shiny on the Pro models. I hope they go matte in the future even though I do think shiny is pretty.

The S21 Ultra by contrast is made to be handled. And it's every bit as gorgeous to look at as my iPhones are. I don't know how it will hold up on the sides and camera bump in terms of scratch resistance. But fingerprints are not a problem. Finally!

My husband’s returning his S20 Ultra trade in today. It will not be missed. He's delighted with his new s21 Ultra.

Have been playing with my Phantom Black Ultra for a few hours now.

Initial thoughts:
- Love the matte black
- I so missed the larger size.. officially not a small phone fan
- Smart Switch is great between Samsung devices.. flawless for me
- I didn't realise how much I missed the curved screen.. no more flat screens if I have a choice
- Had some Bluetooth issues but did a network reset.. seems to have fixed it

Anyone pay their bills on their Android?
Got the phantom black but my biggest concern is the security on an Android.

I’ve paid my bills on my iPhone since the iPhone 5 with no issues.

I'm used to using Safari on iPhone and Samsung Browser. But I noticed my ad blocker wasn't working on Samsung internet anymore. I white listed this site but didn't do that with Android Central and got ads on both. I decided to try Duck Duck Go browser since I have used their search engine for awhile now and I'm shocked how many trackers it shows itself smacking down. I don't know if Safari was doing that and just not making such a show of it.

I got a download update that supposedly improves the camera but I only had a chance to snap a couple of test shots. I really can't tell. The download did make my phone feel hot. But it's fine now.

Today I'm trying my purple silicone case from Samsung. I love that it covers the entire camera bump. That's something I haven't seen any Amazon cases do. I like it. I may order a black and a pink one when all of my points for this purchase are released. Finger print sensor continues to work great with the naked display.

Sigh. Break over. Back to work. Boo.

How is the display working out for you? I seem to be acclimating.

I'm still on natural colors and have very minimal issues. It's definitely tolerable. I'm going to try going back to vivid tomorrow to see what happens. I really prefer the vivid look.
Glad to hear the issues are minimal. Good luck with vivid. That's what I'm using.

First impression was obvious , you can tell the s21 variants is going to be a huge success so there is hope for Note 21.
If Samsung make a Note 21 Ultra with the Exynos 2100 and the camera design of the S21, but with the boxy design and internal SPen, I will buy it straight away.

I've always been attracted to the Nite line. My first phone was the 2011 Note II. And now the Note 20.

8 ounces is a lot of phone, though. At which point a $1200 Flip&Fold it Duo might be intriguing.

I had the first galaxy note. I’ve always liked the note line but not always used one.

Help me out here.. how does the success of s21 variants brings hope to Note 21?

Merge between the 2 will be avoided so Note series will survive. As we've seen last year the the poor sales of s20 line brought back the merger idea.

I'm fine with them merging at this point. There's literally no difference between the two other than the S series feeling much more comfortable in the hand and not being able to insert the S-Pen. When the Bluetooth S-Pen comes out, just let it be charged wirelessly or via the USB-C port in the phone, and we're good.
