I found it to be the best but bit slow if you have huge contents.

Yes. The screen is upgraded with Gorilla Glass version 7 or (Victus) refer post #561 video clip. Screen protectors are becoming things of the past so i wouldn't worry about it.
Gorilla Glass is all about withstanding drops and cracks etc. Microscopic grit on your fingers still scratches the version 7 glass just like it ever did. The only way to prevent this is with a screen protector and it's a shame that Samsung aren't doing this anymore.

This is why SD cards are best. Download your apps, arrange them how you like and then transfer your SMS and Whatsapp messages over. All your photos/videos/documents drop straight in with the SD card. It is so much quicker, stress-free and doesn't involve a PC
I've used SMS Pro backup for the longest for all my calls and my regular text messages.. I don't back up WhatsApp since I don't really use it much.. can also just transfer from phone to phone without the PC but I wanted to try that way the last time. We'll see which way I will go this time around..

Did anyone find anything about pwm on s22 ultra?
No, I haven't seen anything yet. In looking at a battery test where it was lined up against other competitive phones, it looked very flickery. But I don't know if that will impact my sensitivity in person. I'm very worried it will. I'm hoping I can adjust settings so I can work with it comfortably. If not, I hope my husband enjoys his new phone. 😆

I think if we’re comparing notifications in general between Apple and Android, we should be talking about system behavior and not specific app behavior. In any case though, Tapatalk on iOS has the same notification options:

Weird because on my 13 PM this is what I get. What device was that from?

12 PM, but you have to look in the in app settings.
So that is not an IOS notification setting. That is an application setting. those are different things altogether.
I don't have to go into the actual application settings to control application notifications. I can do that in the notifications setting in Android for all applications.
The screenshot you showed was drilling down into the actual app to control notifications. The screenshot I showed was in notification settings. There you can manage notifications for all apps without having to drill down each app and find the notifications if it even has it.

Ok so the point is the location of the settings?

well i think it is obvious......one central place to manage notifications. That was what my original post was about.
I'm sorry but you really did seem to be making another point, look:

Android notifications are sooo much better than IOS. Like Tapatalk for example. In IOS I get on for setting for notifications on Tapatalk. So i get notifications for every little thing and cannot change it.
But on Android I can pick and choose what I want to get notified for.
That reads to me as when using Tapatalk on Android you can pick and choose what you get notified about, whereas on iOS you can't. Which isn't true. The only difference is that in iOS you need to go into the app to access those settings.

Whether notifications settings being all centralised in the main OS settings is better, sure I could see how you might prefer that. Personally I don't really care about that particular point.

Whether or not notifications are better in general on either OS, that to me comes down to many other points as well. Like how are they grouped when they appear, how are they designed, can you reply directly in a notification and how is that handled, how do they work when the screen is off, what interaction options are available for them, etc. That's what I meant by "system behaviour". One specific example would be how Android has a notifications history available at the bottom of the notifications shade, so you can access accidentally swiped notifications - which iOS doesn't have, so one clear point of advantage to Android there (I also generally prefer Android notifications).

i think you are mixing up application settings versus OS settings. My screen shot even showed OS settings. My posting was about OS settings and my screenshot was as well. You screenshot was about an application setting. They are not the same things.

While I think you’re both coming in from slightly different directions, so-to-speak, I think both have pretty much the same sentiment as most—that notifications on Android are generally better as they offer better group options, customization and in-line actions. Android also has settings that generally live inside an app on iOS, grouped in the systemwide notification settings, a method most generally also prefer.

I don’t personally notice the deficiencies in iOS as much because as an Apple Watch wearer, I triage just about all of my important notifications right on the watch. If the smart watch wasn’t an option, I’d definitely find the notification options on Android preferable.

I removed the screen protector on my Note 10+ from the first week i bought it and it doesn't have one tiny single scratch on it, not even a mini.

Gorilla glass 6 & higher are extremely durable and provide exceptional scratch and dents resistance.
Gorilla glass is one of the best features of modern mobile phones but we don't talk much about it like we do with other mob phone features.

I also just got my notification that my order has shipped and is on its way for a February 22 delivery!

Regarding Samsung Watch vs Apple Watch, what I mostly prefer about Apple Watch is how it prompts me haptically to make needed lane changes and gets me ready to make my turns and works so well with Apple Maps. When I’m in my truck with a bunch of noisy kids and have to follow turn by turn directions to drop off some new friend my kids made, I appreciate the haptic prompts. It’s so easy to miss the audible instructions because it gets pretty noisy when the after school conversations get going.

I do prefer Samsung and Fitbits for fitness tracking. But I’ve got only two wrists and I’m not wearing watches on both so Apple wins my wrist.

Secondarily, I’m really loving the ability to swipe type my texts on Apple Watch 7 (at least I think it’s 7) and of course I am still tethered to iMessages.

I don't usually like cases but this premium cases from Samsung fit nice and tight on the phone and they look very good. You can get them without that orange strap.

Well, I was telling myself I didn't NEED the S22, and that I'd wait for a month or two and pick up a decent used example on Swappa for a bit off the price of a new one. That didn't work. I just pre-ordered the S22 (regular, not the Plus or the Ultra) in 256 GB and in the gorgeous dark green color. With the $100 credit for the store, I grabbed a few of the first party cases as I wasn't interested in any of the other offerings.

It's been an expensive two months for me. Pixel 6, iPhone 13 mini and now the Galaxy S22. Spring-cleaning / device selling, here I come to try and recoup some funds. I'm really excited about the S22, I'm a little concerned about One UI (I didn't love it on the Flip 3 I had), but I'll deal with it.

Yep. I didn't need it. And I defintely didn't have to go back and order the giant tablet. So stupid. They gave me 500 for an old iphone x .. and when I was picking out my free goodies - they actually gave me $30 on trade for wired earphones.... wtf .... edit ... let me just add ... I love the x ... I thought I would keep that forever. . but after using the newer screens - it just looks stuttery all the time ... that can't be a word
