Lol. The 6/6 Pro thread is like, “Damn, y’all forgot about me.” You can tell which phone is new because everyone migrates to that thread.

My only worry from Samsung phones is screen burn and discolouration. This happened to my s7, s9+ & Note10+. Very annoying and its common Samsung must get rid off this disease.
My worry is that Apple is already doing something to mitigate that…and it’s this “something” that may be making some of us so sick when we use OLED iPhones. I haven’t yet had a problem using an Android OLED display no matter how flickery they are.

I ended up pre-ordering the Black Ultra 512Gb, with a $900 trade-in for my Fold 3. Should get to me by Feb 25. Along with the obvious pros, a good low light camera is something I definitely need. Tired of relying on my 11 Pro Max for low light.

This will be a true test, if I can live without the Fold. I know I'm going to really miss it the first week or two. If Samsung brings it with the Fold 4, then I'll definitely come back to it.

He’s testing it to see the differences as under 5G it barely got 5 hours screen on time
Luckily we don’t have 5G around here, I’ve got a 5G SIM card but I just use 4G at the moment.

It’s going to be interesting to test out the battery life.

S22 Ultra could be the best phone till mid-2022 but I'm an Apple user and I'm waiting for the iPhone's next new model!

I've noticed this as well. Like many here, I've had both Android and iOS devices side by side for a number of years. Regardless of the make or model the iOS devices have consistently performed better in standby more as compared to Android devices.
Generally true although I have a Huawei tablet which has excellent standby life. It was practically iOS-like until a security update spoiled it a bit.

Looking forward to my green 256 gb S22. It is just about the same size as my S10e but with a bigger screen so it should suit me well. Good deal cost wise from one of the three main telcos here: € 150 deducted from list price, € 150 deducted for trading in my 3 year old S10e, € 200 deducted for transferring my phone line from another provider (not tied to a contract as that is illegal here). So I am paying about 45% of list price plus Samsung will be giving me the Galaxy Buds Pro for free (normally € 229). :)

Was he on mmwave 5G? Cause that shouldn't be the case for normal 5G.
yeah then signal strength comes into play as well. I mean if you are in a great 5G signal area then all is well. But if you are in the middle of studio with thick cement walls...well signal strength is going to be an issue and it will drain the battery faster.

same here...my S21U gets great battery life. So if the S22U is the same then I will be very happy :)
My battery life is great, unless I leave it on the table in standby. What I did (before I sold it to get ready for my S22 Ultra) was charge it at night, use through the day, then the stand by wasn’t an issue really.

does anyone know what return period Samsung UK offers? I'm really interested to try the S22 Ultra coming from a 13 Pro Max but would like to use it for some time to see if it can work for me and just looking at a display unit for 20 mins wouldn't be enough. I also have an apple watch so would get a galaxy watch 4 then see if the Samsung setup can work for me but it could be an expensive mistake if it doesn't!"
