Nah, GSMArena has too many trolls that pretend to be rich. Most of them are actually just people with cheap Xiaomi or Oppo phones.

Not really, i have been following Gsmarena and its members for over 10 years now and very reliable and members are very well informed tech savyies even more than us.

Got my hands on the S22 Ultra at BestBuy today. Wow what awesome phone. Side by side with my s21 Ultra, they are very similar except for the squared edges. The S22U was lighter and a little wider than the S21U.
Could be my imagination but it seems the zoom at the higher ends seems more stable and not as shaky.

I can't wait to get mine! Its going to be a long wait lol

Which colour did you like the most ?
Notice guys the screen brightness peak on the s22U is now 1750 nits. Up by 250 nits from S21U. This is excellent for outdoors if you use it wisely.

Very few. Simply go to any discussions over there and I can tell. Most of them are just trolls, at least for me. Imo it's worse than MR. ?

a better place
Can't believe I pre-ordered launch day and never noticed at all that the device didn't ship till March 11th.

Personally, I didn''t bother going for the bigger S22 Ultra, I went for the S22 regular model as I just wanted another smaller android device this year and the green looks awesome. (the free headphones and a year of Disney plus - just as mine is due for renewal- certainly incentivised me also tbh).

MrWhoseTheBoss has a battery life comparison out (although its the Exnos model). Seems like battery life is pretty good, although it was oddly worse than the S21 Ultra (but basically neglibile difference). It beat the Pixel 6 Pro but still gets absolutely destroyed by the iPhone 13 Pro Max who is still in a league of its own. But still, this should easily be a full day phone.

Battery life has always been an issue with the Exynos models. Snapdragon has always had better battery life.

Android drops 15% overnight eventually regardless of battery test. Standby will drain more regardless.

Damn, I'm struggling not to trade in my Fold 3 for the S22 Ultra. 😮‍💨
I was thinking that too! But new rumors dropped today that the Z Fold 4 will include a built-in S-Pen. That's enough to keep me from buying the S22 Ultra today.

Yep. On standby it’s not even close. Apple does this much better.
Agree that iPhones standby time is excellent. My iPhone 7+ has mediocre battery life when in use, but last forever when not. :D

But with some fine tuning, Android has improved a bit (although still not as good as Apple). It's like having a Windows PC, you have to tinker things around to get the best result. Many Android phones have preinstalled apps/services (eg. Facebook services) that should be disabled. Also, widgets and notifications do drain battery, so not going overboard on those would help as well.

My only worry from Samsung phones is screen burn and discolouration. This happened to my s7, s9+ & Note10+. Very annoying and its common Samsung must get rid off this disease.

It's to do with OLED/AMOLED screen tech. You have to use them differently to avoid it. Kids and game players especially run into problems.
