Supposedly there's a fix for some of the ones that are having issues... I believe it's only the ultra....
Oh my goodness I can’t pick one myself. The yellow looks especially cheerful to me. But the other colors go better with a lot of accessories and clothes I own. I wish your mom a very happy birthday!
We finally got home around 4 am. The hospital is supposed to call.
Meanwhile I’ve finally gotten a chance to see it! I think it’s very close to a green Nokia cell phone I carried in the 90’s. If I can find that phone I’ll try to photograph them together.

Under the light of a chandelier’s warm LED light and skylight, overcast.
I’m trying to get the rich blue-green hue and my iPhone 11 isn’t showing it. I don’t know if that’s the camera or the display. I’ll try one with my Pixel. Edit: never mind the Pixel shows the exact same thing.
Unfortunately the cameras I’ve got can’t do this color any justice.

Thank you. I’m doing Smart Switch right now! Lol I had a hard time putting my sim into the phone. It kept popping out of the tray. I had to use my fingernail to hold it down as I slid the tray back into the phone.
I’m not sure how the rest of my day will play out so I’m glad I get this chance to set it up even if I’m soooo sleepy. I didn’t have coffee because I kept thinking I’ll just go back to bed after seeing everyone off. But I found it hard to sleep knowing an important call could come in at any moment.The zoom is amazing, it seems like a great improvement in usability in just a couple years over that one phone that had the crazy zoom. I can’t imagine the improvements in another couple years. The Pixel did amazing here a well and like most people who don’t have an anti whatever phone they don’t use agenda….all these phones take great pics and will be just fine

love the zoom ..Pixel handled well ...and each had some good and not good moments but overall you can't go wrong ..I watched the Marques video review and I agree on some of his points ...battery so far easily gets me to EOD ...vibrate is weak though I don't care for my usage ...I love the S22 + flat screen but all good with curves ..we've all stated here and other threads about the curves haha ...Ultra screen is gorgeous
This is a great idea to try out Android and Samsung phones. I use both/went back to iPhone bc i have an elderly mom who could never master messaging other than iMessage on iPad and was unable to message effectively with her (Apple’s and Whatsapp’s fault, not Samsung’s!) This year i ended up with 13 Pro as my main device (first non-jumbo phone for me since 6 Plus) and i really enjoy the pocketability. But i have missed my Note 20 Ultra with integrated S Pen although I have really enjoyed the Flip 3 I replaced it with. Does S22 work with S Pen? I am hoping eventually Samsung may offer Note feature parity in 2 different sizes like Apple did this year with 13 Pro and Pro Max.Does anyone kniw if s22 has same camera as s22 plus.. seen review of s22plus vs ultra and truly ultra aint that better than s22 plus.. so as i know niw that i wont leave iphine, just want to leverage preorder bonuses and eventually try android for fun… so s22 cheapest one would be best option

Where is everyone? Oh there you all are. I'm still setting up. I'm currently running at Vivid setting with 60hz mode. Given what's going on right now I don't really want to play guinea pig on myself with pwm. I've only had about 3 hours of sleep. Pwm is making focusing a little challenging though. Sometimes that's harmless and I just need a couple of days to adjust. And definitely not really evaluating pwm when I am super fatigued. Hey, we will see how it goes.
**Edit: I bumped up the display to maximum QHD+ and smooth variable refresh rate. I can focus on text easily now. I'm hoping I don't get motion sickness or miigraine symptoms. These settings are going to eat through battery faster but I wanted to see if I could have less of a challenge focusing. **
At least the display crispness and color looks great at several different settings I played around with.
I have the clear Samsung case with the kickstand on at the moment. It's okay. It arrived with a big scuff on the back so I'm a little salty about that. Overall it's fine and I'm happy to have it. I was going to scuff it sooner or later so I just have to get over it. I do think the Spigen one on my Pixel is better though. That doesn't have a kickstand but I attached my own ring to it. I have a clear but decorated case from Velvet Caviar on the way that I hope will be more protective and cute, yet lets me see the green.
I do love this huge expansive display. The pixel 6 Pro is so close in size but appears to be narrower and the curved edges are a bit more noticeable. So the S22 Ultra wins. I Iook forward to watching a movie on it at some point.

What a sweetheart! On my Google photos suddenly a photo from 2017 of a dog who looks so much like this one popped up! I was startled at first because I just saw your photo and wondered if i somehow got a photo of your dog. Keep in mind I finally gave up on the idea of a nap and am finally having coffee. It was a photo taken by one of the kids of their friend's dog.
Here is a 10x zoom of one of our cats sleeping in a sunbeam about 4 feet away from where I'm sitting. She was moving and so I was pleasantly surprised this wasn't a useless blurred mess! It's just a touch soft.
By the way I didn't peel the plastic off the front of my phone. I took sharp cuticle scissors and trimmed the tab off and now I have myself a factory installed screen protector. 😆
The fingerprint reader is working through it okay. Not great, not bad, but okay. Given that my usually reliable Pixel 6 Pro fps reader has been giving me trouble recently, this isn't too bad.
The line up so far...the S21U will be going back home to Samsung in a couple days
Wow, @jamezr the burgundy is phenomenal. If I had wanted the Ultra, that would be the color I'd get, for sure! But... I'm very excited about the dark green of the "little S22" (I love that phrase, as coined by GrumpyMom!) as dark green is my favorite color by far. FedEx was able to get it from Memphis to Washington State and out for delivery in the matter of 2 hours. Now, it just needs to be delivered before I go to work in a few hours!
