Thanks brother ..I got everything smh ..fever ..head was a ton of bricks and body ached ..sore throat and cough is still trying to hold one haha .. vaxxed meant nothing for me ...feeling stronger last few days so I expect to turn that corner ... I just want to go to the gym hopefully soon ...then I will feel like I'm back

I am sorry for what you are going through. Sounds rough. I got the virus last Thanksgiving and still don't feel 💯.

Chicken noodle soup really does help and a steam shower.

Hope you recover quickly!

Playing with my s23u and I noticed it has "tracking autofocus".. works great just like on my DSLR... focus on a subject and it'll autofocus on it as it moves around the frame. (helps for those dog photos)

I can't see the same on the iphone 14pm? does anyone know if it has that feature? googling takes me to how to fix AE/AF which isn't the same thing.

Just curious more than anything

Just get well brother....i felt weak and tired for like 3 weeks afterwards. The slacker I am.....i didn't make it back to the gym for 3 weeks though :)
Three weeks is actually pretty amazing! My friend's 17 year old big strong son was never able to return to our track team after catching COVID last school year. He can still work out with weights, but no longer can run. He's been very upbeat through it all.

I noticed I have less endurance now when exerting myself, but that's not from COVID, but one of these other weird viruses we've got going around that's been making the kids in particular sick for weeks. It's like everyone is now chronically sick, just not with COVID.

I only ever got one vaccine and one booster because I kept catching Covid anyway.

Get well soon. Take it easy and don't rush your recovery. I've seen Covid slow down strapping teenage athletes. It's a new paradigm and then there are other viruses circulating out there to also avoid after you recover from this one.

My last bout of real diagnosed Covid freed me from autoimmune joint pain for several weeks. I felt fantastic. Then I caught this other non COVID respiratory virus that made me very sick and the autoimmune problems were back. I was so mad!

My recent ordeal taking care of my mom at urgent care and staying up and abstaining from eating for about 30 hours shocked my body again in a good way. I've been able to sleep deeply for the first time since I don't know when. My autoimmune symptoms are also giving me a brief break, so I can eat without my medication and right now there's no inflammatory joint pain.

I'm wondering if I should fast once a week. I don't think I'm going to try to go without sleep for 24 hours again, but if my insomnia/shallow sleep comes back, maybe I should. It's like I need to periodically shock my system to function normally. That's so weird.

Yeah I don't see an indicator for it on the 14 Pro Max. But it's rare that my subject isn't in focus. I think with Lidar it works quietly.

Oh my. I just looked at the rumors for iphone 15 and those solid state buttons and the change to the mute switch. I'm glad I wasn't planning to trade in my 14 Pro Max. I'll give all that a year to shake out the bugs and drawbacks.

I like having all the buttons of the S23 Ultra on one side. I appreciate just having one side free of buttons when I'm watching movies. Setting the phone down on one side, I still have easy access to all of the buttons.

I think it's much ado about nothing. I looked at some of the comments and most seem to take the stance Apple is changing for change sake.

But I personally would like to see how it function before rushing to judgment. Galaxy devices have removed the mute switch all together.

I was worried that Samsung might reject my fitbit I sent in for a trade. It was in new condition (never really used by a family member). You can't power it off, so I charged it, packed it and sent it off that day. But got full credit for it as trade in. Shocking to say the least.

Thank you and hopefully you are better on track yourself going forward

I'm definitely not rushing and taking the steps ....

That's the thing. I want to see how people react to it in use. This isn't a change I would want to preorder and try. I would if I were dissatisfied with my 14 Pro Max but I want to see people actually using it first. I imagine my husband will get one. I'll get to see it.

I get it from your perspective.

But what I'm confused by are the complaints by iPhone 12 Pro (Max) and below owners who didn't upgrade to the 13 or 14, yet... proclaim its a tragedy to remove the switch. If the 13 Pro (Max) or 14 Pro (Max) didn't give them a reason to upgrade... I don't see how the 15 Pro would be any different.

I think they are using it as an excuse not to upgrade when it doesn't need to be used anyway... if they want to keep their older iPhone, so be it.

Is there an easy way to combine the Phone app with the Visual Voicemail app? More times than not with Android phones I've had to settle on two icons for the Phone and Voicemail and it is annoying. Is there anything like how iOS does it where the Phone "menu" includes a tab for voice mail?

Crikey I forgot to set up visual voicemail. No I don't think there's a way to do that. Unless there's a carrier app perhaps?

Gah that’s annoying. I was seeing this when I had my ultra on Fi and it was super frustrating when in the Fi it said that visual voicemail could be accessed in the phone app but it wasn’t there. It was a separate app which is so stupid to me. You’d think in 2023 that this basic effing feature would have widespread availability. I mean my goodness the iPhone has had since day effing 1.

True but the iphone drives me crazy by having certain camera settings buried in the settings menu rather than the camera app.

It's like the people who build this stuff don't actually ever use it!

This is one of the first things that comes to mind when I point out that I prefer the software of the Pixel. The S23U hardware is just so good and so are many of the elements of the software, but hardware aside, the user experience is just so much better on the Pixel to me. Not enough for me to give up the beast that is the S23U, but I sure wish I could just combine the hardware and software of the two and I'd probably be done phone hopping for good.

I will say this. Although I do prefer uniformity, I've come to grips with some of the things like this on this phone. For me, if I miss a call and I know I have a voicemail, it's not hard to pull up my app drawer and click on my visual voicemail app. I think these are some of the things that used to turn me off but just don't anymore. As long as the function works that's all I care about.

Yea, the settings on the iPhone drives me absolutely nuts. Can't stand having to constantly exit an app to access the settings.
