Thinking this is my new favorite phone.. battery life is the way should be I'm always close to a charger but it's nice having a phone that doesn't even lose battery percentage while on standby... I'm thinking this week I'm going to put the p7p up for sale..

I've had this phone for three weeks now and I don't miss my iPhone at all.

Also, I absolutely love Eye Comfort Shield. I have mine on automatic and it works just as well as Apple's True Tone, which is always on on my iPhone (13 Pro Max) and my MacBook.

Samsung knocked it out of the park.
Do you not miss Face ID and iMessage the latter I could cope with just, but could never see me going back to a fingerprint sensor ?

Really enjoying the 10x telephoto lens. It's so versatile and a joy to use. If only the shutter speed was faster with the regular camera app. Used expert raw app to shoot at 1/1000.

Good for you! I'm a fan of S-Pen as well... that's why I cannot see myself going against it.

So, what is your plan going forward? I recall you having the Flip and keeping that until the next foldable comes along... do you still have that currently?

I still have the Flip4 as well ...I'm going to use it when I want to not carry the slab around ...the S23 is a big boy for sure ...and if I'm headed out at times for the evening the flip serves me better .. next foldables we shall see as I'm leaning towards flip 5 from what I hear large outside viewing areas with the gen 2 chip will be a winner imo ...

Oh.. no wonder you brought up the Pixel getting the axe!

Only thing I'm excited about in regards to the next foldables... is what software features Samsung has planned for it. They tend to release a x.1.1 update specifically for the foldables.

Yeah we all are bad influences here. I loved the Note series, too. This is really a Note. I don't care what it's called now, it's a Note. And really it was a Note that first drew me and my husband to Samsung for keeps. I'm really glad that One UI is so refined now. Touch Wiz was clunky back in the day.

Omg TouchWiz was a mess but I loved my Note 2 and I was running custom ROM on it bc you needed to have it run smoother ...we sure have come a long long way ...now it's bells and whistles..without a hiccup

TouchWiz was certainly not a Wiz at anything. Lol. I had custom roms running back in those days because of how much I hated TouchWiz. Rooted and custom rom firmware back when you could do those things with a Samsung phone. TouchWiz was like Windows UI on Android.

Now Samsung has come so far. Still they add a lot of duplicate apps but the software actually looks good now. Lol

I have my Pixel which I prefer the Pixel UI for the most part but there are now some areas I actually prefer OneUI and that is a pretty amazing accomplishment for Samsung.

I only had one note series, the note 10. It all started with the s4 for me. Plastic frame with chromed edges and the plastic stickers that they still put on their phones, removable battery and SD card. The jelly scroll AMOLED screen. But for the time it was a darn good phone.

We all support each other in our tech addiction. BUT this was a good year for Samsung. I feel like there was a genuine benefit to upgrading even from just a year ago. As much as I like new tech I don't always have that opinion. In fact, I felt the iPhone 14 release this year was mostly a stagnant year which is why I didn't get an iPhone. I do think Apple will be interesting this year again and possibly next and the 14 series is not bad as long as you got a Pro model. It is just if you had a 13 Pro Max I really felt there was no reason to upgrade and of course you really shouldn't upgrade every phone every year but sometimes the updates to a phone year over year are big enough to do it or the refinement along with under the hood updates are big enough.

Samsung really refined and upgraded the internals this year and sometimes that is a better upgrade than a complete redesign with minor internal updates.

Nice! Curious, what did you have to change the ISO to when changing the shutter speed. I'm going to a Bucks game in 2 weeks and want to take full advantage of the 10x zoom.

Oh wow thanks for posting about that. I haven't had a chance to compare their video capabilities yet.

Yeah Apple still has the edge in low light still photography from what I can see, in terms of image focus and keeping noise down. Just sometimes it can cool the color temperature of lamp light a little too much and ruin the ambiance.

Were you able to compare audio and if so, did you find any significant differences? I've been very curious about that. I couldn't really tell from the quick tests videos I tried to make.
Yes, audio was much better on the iPhone. I could post a link to two videos later.

You guys know me well I am weak just like the rest of us...lol

Just getting over COVID so I haven't really had a chance to be out too much to give the phone more outside time but it's a pleasure to make a lot of phone calls on it and use it on Wi-Fi at home and see the battery drop 8%..

I'm determined I love my P7P but I'm going to put it up for sale end of this week I just can't keep holding on to all these phones lol

ugh, just had my second (at least) go around with covid late jan/early feb. Got my wife as well this time, her first time with it, and she still has a cough 6 weeks later. Hope you are back to 100% asap.

Actually used my P7P this weekend and its so refreshing using the Pixel after being on a Samsung for an extended period. I'm not going to sell mine yet since I still really enjoy using it. Really wish Google would ditch the Exynos modems though. Even though the modem seems improved from the P6P, it still performs well below the Qualcomm modem in the S23U. While the tensor chips perform ok I wish Google would go with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip on the upcoming Pixels. I know that probably would come with a price increase but I'd be ok with that. Would love a premium Pixel with top of the line specs across the board.

Hope she shakes off the cough soon gets well and recovers ...cough is the annoying part and lack of sleep for days ...still working my way back and hopefully can get some training in soon ...at least appetite is back ...

I agree with chip ...loved to see that Gen 2 with it though we know it won't happen.. they like their AI stuff with own chip .. I'd happily pay to swap them on next phone ...

So I used the Expert Raw app from the Galaxy store and not just Pro mode in the regular app. I used 1/1000 shutter speed and ISO was to the max I believe (1600 to 3200). I used the 10x telephoto lens.
