Your experience is a positive one. I am glad it worked out for you. I have installed the WD on my Pixel 7 Pro and on the second attempt it worked but was not easy and still not perfect. I watched multiple videos.I'll say again and repeat myself...
If I can fit the WD screen protector anyone can...
I fix things with a 12lb sledgehammer but manage to install the WD protectors fine...
Take your time, follow one of the many decent How To's on YT and it'll be spot on
Then I tried on the Ultra and it was a nightmare. Tried 3 times as I had an extra glue from the P7P. Was a complete mess and the glue wouldn't go to the bottom of the phone on a completely level surface.
Contacted their support and the only option was to pay $14.95 for one replacement. Who's to say I won't have the same experience again?
I agree that when it works it is great but if you run into issues it is just a waste of money.
I finally gave up and installed a film EPU protector and it worked on the first try.
To the poster asking what to get many people have provided links in this thread on that specific topic.
I can't recommend the Whitestone dome screen protector for the simple fact that it is not an easy process even if you have practice, watch videos, etc. A lot of people have no problems at all and a lot of people have issues.
So if you want the best tempered glass protector it is really the best option. There are cheaper alternatives but I am not sure of the quality or support. It is possible that on Amazon if you messed up 3 protector the competition gives you they might send you a free replacement.
I was pretty upset that WD would not send me a free replacement because I can't even use the product I paid for. I would understand if I had successfully installed one and it became damaged to charge for a replacement but if you can't even get one on there then it is literally throwing your money away and no one wants to throw more money without a guarantee it will work. I could end up exactly where I am and my only resolution is keep paying more money.
If WD stood behind their products and gave you a guarantee that it will work or a free replacement I would not even comment but I want to warn other people if you don't get it right you have to pay to try again after the initial 2. Considering it cost $50 retail I really expect more.
And as a side note the stickers did not keep all the glue out. The glue got all over the phone except where it was supposed to go on the screen and it was not easy to clean it all off. I was worried I may have damaged the phone due to the stickers leaking or the glue messing up the finish. Luckily I was eventually able to clean it all off but I really regretted the entire experience.
