It's much more respectable than I thought it would be. I mean the machine not the price. I guess the price is what they need it to be to cover costs.

It was funny to laugh at the MacRumors renders and all the rumors made it sound pathetic. But the real presentation showed it was potentially like tech I saw in the last episode of Agents of Shield, where you think everyone from the team has reunited in a room to talk to each other. Then they take goggles and glasses off and we see where each person really is.

My husband was surprisingly excited about the potential it has. Lol I think he's excited to have the beach appear in our living room.

I miss Samsung VR. We finally threw our goggles out to the recycling center. My last phone that could work with it swelled open. I wish I had played with it more when I had the chance.

Interesting note. This post was composed mostly with the help of autocomplete on S 23 Ultra. I should used my Pixel 7a which has even better prediction. I had a major seizure last night that blew out my language center of my brain. Everything thought inside my head is intact. Getting complete flow out is work. Took a few minutes to get my arms working too.

When I saw what Google was doing with that level of helping to write I was relieved in case this happens. Swipe to type helps too.

I don't know if iPhone use caused this or I was working with a new cleaning product on work project. I've been working hard. I'm resting today. If my posts look weird that's why.

I think if anyone is going to do it right, it will be Apple. I do like the concept of Vision Pro and i think it will be great, the price is off putting at the moment for the general consumer. I do want to see how further iterations progress and IF I would wear it. Currently i have tried the Playstation VR and I wasn’t enamoured enough with it, i much prefer to play my games the normal way with the controller.

If Apple can integrate things like Fitness+ and other services that i use, health related apps and services would be a great one.

I've wanted to try the PlayStation VR but it's an additional expense on top of what I paid for PlayStation 5 that I don't want to undertake right now.

Clearly Apple is going for something beyond gaming with this. I wonder if Samsung is now going to revisit this space.

When it comes To VR i’m very critical, I’m yet to find anything that’s not a gimmick. Samsungs version never really took off, PSVR doesn’t really have that much support with games (it has a few). I can’t get over having to put something on my head, especially as someone who has to wear glasses all day otherwise I can’t see.

PSVR2 is worth it. Especially for games with longevity like GT7 and No Man's Sky. I have nothing bad to say about it, which is a feat in the VR market. It's pretty good from all angles.

I think eventually there will be VR games in Apple Arcade.

I don't see Samsung getting into the VR space anytime soon. They don't have the Oculus platform anymore, and I don't see them making new hardware for Windows Mixed Reality, due to lack of earnings from it.

So I have tried. I have tried to use my Pixel 7 Pro and I do love it a lot. But there is always something that pulls me back to the s23 ultra. The battery life is just so good on the Ultra with all the high settings enabled. The cameras work really well for me. The s pen has been a life saver on multiple occasions needing to sign important documents while I was away from home and it was my only device. Speed on this thing is just such a dream to use.

The Ultra is why I buy flagship phones. I know I could get away with a midrange device and I don't consider my Pixel 7 Pro a midrange device. With the exception of the Pixel 7a with 8gb ram and Tensor G2 most other midrange phones just have issues. Cameras will be really bad when you need them the most. It is when you are out in the middle of nowhere and trying to do something important that the speed becomes important. Most midrange phones(Pixel 7a excluded) will start to stutter or just freeze up. You won't get fast updates, etc.

I never realized how useful the S23 ultra could be until I pushed it to its limits and needed some of its unique features. Maybe one day Samsung will grace us with a flat screen Ultra!! I may try a Pixel 8 Pro later this year or a iPhone probably next year but I don't see a time now where I won't have an S23 ultra. You know until something else even better comes along or I get some crazy deal. LOL
I have to agree, the ultra is the only sensible buy when you factor in trade in's and etc. Also the battery life

I prefer the lighter phones but the pluses are worth it, the spen can come in handy on the road with signing documents.

I'm at the age where I keep it very simple, I have kept a old S21 FE for almost 2 years now and it's still going, not the greatest phone and battery life is hit or miss but it does the job.

The problem I have with android is the resale isn't worth the hassle, at times I just want to get a basic 13 iphone and use it for like 5 years like most my friends in real life they could care less.

I know I keep saying this, but I really love this phone. If Samsung/Google would fix the delayed notifications issue, this would be a perfect phone. I really hate using my iPhone now. I've been with the S23U for more than six months now, and I feel like I'm still in the honeymoon phase. :)

Pulled out my S-Pen for the first time in probably over a month, but boy did it come in handy. Got a link with a tracking number and of course when clicking on the Tracking number, it was a link to the shipping website that then wanted you to paste the tracking number. So tried clicking around the tracking number and was fumbling around trying to get it copied until I remembered that I have an S-Pen. Took that thing out, and immediate was able to copy the tracking number. Probably won't use the S-Pen again for another month but I'm sure when I do, it'll be for a reason that makes life a little easier.

I'm going to miss Sync on my phone so much when the app closes. It's my favorite app on my S23U, and I think it's the most beautiful Android app.
Ditto! And it’s unfortunate because of the amount of time the dev invested into the app recently… I believe he went on a hiatus and returned rejuvenated.

And now he has to look elsewhere… supposedly they are looking into Lemmy.

I deleted my Reddit account. I’m so mad about what they’re doing! I hope they crash and burn.

Just ordered s23 ultra on a crazy trade in deal with the Samsung Buds Pro 2

Anyone who has used the pixel 7 pro and the pixel buds, how do the Samsung buds compare ? Just wondering which ones to sell on 😂

Anyone who has the Whitestone Dome - how is it holding up especially with a case and if so which case do you use with it ? Are there any cheaper screen protectors which work well ?

is there any other difference between 256 and 512/1TB ultra model, except amount of RAM? There is huge sale on 256 models here right now...

I can get decent deal on the S23 Ultra 512GB but the catch is its only for the lavender model.

I don’t mind purple or lighter shades of purple but don’t want a pink phone. Has anyone got a lavender model or seen one in person?

As far as I’m aware the RAM is the only difference and even that doesn’t really make much difference on the 512gb model unless you are a heavy user and use lots of apps at the same time

Personally I can get away with even 128gb on a phone but I ordered the 512gb as there’s a good deal for that on at the moment for around £70 more and I figured it’s worth a punt

Job done !!!

I got a gold 11 pro max years ago which I still use today, and just put a case on it and never even notice what the back colour is 😂

I have set up many of the lavender s23/+/ultras. They are really pink colored. not really purple at all.

I like the Samsung buds over pixel buds ...sound and battery life ... Don't think you will be disappointed

It is pretty much pink and very "feminine" according to people who ascribe such characteristics to color. Nevertheless, my husband would have taken mine and given me his lime phone since you can't really tell the color of the phone with many of the cases available for it.

I currently have mine in the orange silicone case with an orange oriented wallpaper and you wouldn't really know I have a pink phone.

I hope you recover quickly and feel better soon. That sounds really scary and terrible, the mismatch between brain and body.

You really should try the Pixel. It is like magic how the speech to text works. Although I am sure Google has given Samsung a hand in this department and nothing bad to say.

It is just you can use your Pixel practically hands free with minimal errors.

VR is both exciting and scary.

The potential is great but anything that isolates us from the real world and reality as it is can be dangerous.

We are already so disconnected as it is just with a phone and internet, think what the next generation of kids raised on VR will be like.

Also the radicalization of certain extreme groups could be worse. It will increase our feelings of isolation while being always connected.

Cognitive dissonance will get much worse as well.

For all of the fun, good things VR could do we also have to be mindful of the other side.

I don't know if certain guidelines or limits on usage will be helpful. I foresee a lot of people addicted to VR and completely oblivious of taking care of themselves or doing the responsibilities we all have in day to day life.

I think that the potential for learning, helping people with certain handicaps, medical interventions, work applications and recreation area pretty limitless.

Also the potential profit for charging for games, environments, cloud storage, etc. will also be a huge profit center and Apple understands this.

Give it 5 years or so and the cost on these type of headsets will go down dramatically. Companies like Apple will lower the price so anyone can get so they can charge for services.

For me I am interested in guided meditation and some games. I am going to hold off for a while though knowing how addicted I already am to my phone, iPad-tablet, and laptop. Lol
