It is pretty much pink and very "feminine" according to people who ascribe such characteristics to color. Nevertheless, my husband would have taken mine and given me his lime phone since you can't really tell the color of the phone with many of the cases available for it.

I currently have mine in the orange silicone case with an orange oriented wallpaper and you wouldn't really know I have a pink phone.

Thank you for that perspective. I guess I can live with lavender. Hehe. Just put a nice black case on it.

I think the colors this year for the ultra are pretty bad for the standard colors. I would have liked a real purple or even a true lavender not pink with a tiny bit of purple.

In any case pink isn't just a color for girls anymore anyway. Saving money is more important anyway.

If you can get a good deal on the ultra no matter the color I say go for it. It is a great phone and as mentioned above you can add a case and I bet a deep purple would go nice with Lavender. Ringe has a deep dark purple case that would go well with it. Just check Amazon for Ringe Onyx. Really nice case.

anyone get the June update yet?
Not yet. Probably going to be a few days.

My Pixel hasn't even gotten the June update yet. It was just announced for Pixel so it should get it soon.

In my experience the ultra has always followed getting an update after my Pixel by a few days. So I am assuming early next week if I get a Pixel update soon.

I hope you recover quickly and feel better soon. That sounds really scary and terrible, the mismatch between brain and body.

You really should try the Pixel. It is like magic how the speech to text works. Although I am sure Google has given Samsung a hand in this department and nothing bad to say.

It is just you can use your Pixel practically hands free with minimal errors.
Unfortunately I also lost the ability to speak normally for a day and a half. I could swipe type pretty well. In my head I can form complete sentences. But when I try to type or speak, complete gibberish or random words come out instead. When I'm typing I won't notice until I go back and proofread.

My speech actually still is rather stilted. Sometimes speaking gives me a headache.

I did finally get an appointment with a specialist but not a neurologist. Gastroenterologist. But hey, at least one doctor was willing to see me without making me wait a year in a queue!

Now getting back to VR, I just want to see dinosaurs in my living room again. That was fun when I did it on Samsung's goggles.

I also enjoyed virtual fishing. It was fun and more humane than the real thing.

I'd like AR to help me navigate new places on foot.

Beyond that, I prefer unaugmented reality most of the time.

I've wanted to try the PlayStation VR but it's an additional expense on top of what I paid for PlayStation 5 that I don't want to undertake right now.

Clearly Apple is going for something beyond gaming with this. I wonder if Samsung is now going to revisit this space.

You might want to give the VR a cautious approach, it’s not good for those with migraines. It triggered a few for me when I used my son’s Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. Because of the way it works it did something to my vision and messed with me.

Oh goodness! I'm sorry to hear that. For me with Samsung VR it was the opposite and I used to go into VR to soothe my migraines. Also I was the only person in my household who could stay in there as long as I wanted. Everyone else go nauseous within a few minutes. But that was Samsung. I would bet they're all different and I'll definitely exercise caution.

I probably won't be able to use the Apple ones if the mechanism to track eye movement is the same as attention aware on iPhone. The IR dots cause me incredible eye pain. I can't play with Animoji at all. I have to turn everything off.

You might be ok then, I have since used it and have been fine - mostly. I don’t get the nausea I have heard of. My son often spends upwards of 4 hours playing some of his games and no issues but then he lives in there most days

Cannot say I’m too impressed by these rumoured specs for the S23FE. Doing away with the Snapdragon is an immediate negative in my view.

Yeah. I honestly wish Pixels used Snapdragon just because in my head that's the best. But in day to day functions I honestly can't tell my 7a is running what is essentially an Exynos. Granted, it's heavily customized by Google.

I think the manufacturers are on trend to really make the non flagships very spare. So you're really going to feel the sacrifice not going flagship.

Well, I have to admit I don't feel my 7a is depriving me of much luxury. But I'm weird and have a tech crush on this phone. 🤣

S23 ultra users, can one connect ultra to 4k tv, run dex and on dex xbox game pass? If so, that could be veeery interesting… and if it works, does it perform good enough??

Anyone ever have an issue with Wifi where it keeps disconnecting even though your other devices connect just fine? It just keeps turning off and saying "Connected without Internet".

I've seen that before but not on this device.. did you try to reset network? And then do a reboot

So far just my home WiFi. What's weird is that every other device is working just fine. Just tested my work iPhone 11 and having no issues.
There were some peeps having issues on previous updates and some resolved it in the meantime by disabling wifi 6 on their home routers ...not ideal solution but might be worth a look to see if this is what is causing your issue

Suddenly it's working again. That was really strange!

I've connected my Galaxy Fold to a 4K monitor and used DeX... works flawlessly. I've used Xbox Game Pass on my Galaxy Fold briefly, so I cannot give you any advice on the performance. But there's plenty of videos out there giving users an idea of what to expect using a monitor/tv with Android for Xbox Game Pass.

And I highly doubt the performance is going to be as equivalent to being on the console. But Microsoft is putting quite a lot of resources behind cloud gaming.
