I hope you recover quickly and feel better soon. That sounds really scary and terrible, the mismatch between brain and body.
You really should try the Pixel. It is like magic how the speech to text works. Although I am sure Google has given Samsung a hand in this department and nothing bad to say.
It is just you can use your Pixel practically hands free with minimal errors.
Unfortunately I also lost the ability to speak normally for a day and a half. I could swipe type pretty well. In my head I can form complete sentences. But when I try to type or speak, complete gibberish or random words come out instead. When I'm typing I won't notice until I go back and proofread.
My speech actually still is rather stilted. Sometimes speaking gives me a headache.
I did finally get an appointment with a specialist but not a neurologist. Gastroenterologist. But hey, at least one doctor was willing to see me without making me wait a year in a queue!
Now getting back to VR, I just want to see dinosaurs in my living room again. That was fun when I did it on Samsung's goggles.
I also enjoyed virtual fishing. It was fun and more humane than the real thing.
I'd like AR to help me navigate new places on foot.
Beyond that, I prefer unaugmented reality most of the time.
