I have the Apple Watch ultra. I sometimes feel like it’s an expensive stop Watch as I don’t really use it for much more. My family is pretty much exclusively on WhatsApp and pics and stuff don’t play nice on the WatchI can attest to this sentiment. I was worried about the camera on the S23 Ultra but it is definitely on par with my iPhone 14 Pro. Video = TBC
The only thing now is the Apple Watch. I still need it for health and fitness features. Have swapped the wife’s iPhone 13 Pro with the my iPhone 14 Pro as my Apple Watch surrogate. She’s noticed the camera upgrade for her coming from the iPhone 13 Pro. So win win.
I will see what September brings but for now I will use the S23 Ultra with the Apple Watch for health and fitness.. and try to live without the notifications on my wrist.
The battery life has been better than I could have imagined especially after using the deep sleep feature in battery management for certain battery hogging apps.
Another note, found a gem of a case in the Ringke Onyx at Amazon UK. I would recommend it for anyone looking to not add bulk but loads of grip.

Sounds like me.. Think my next device will be the Pixel Fold; my 14 PM and AWU will be going (I'm hardly using the latter)
Every app has video call technology now. I just Facebook call if they don't have Google meet
Apple likes to suck you in and make you think you need them, but you dont. I have the find my friends (or whatever they calll it)feature turned off on Google. Dont see a need for it. Its just a tracking thing.Well, i really hate appleif there was no imessage and find my and facetime, would already bought ultra… that machine got everything… except apple services
One thing there are apps like Life 360 that also do a stellar job of tracking family, but the one convenience of iOS is that I could just go to iMessage and pick up my thread with my daughter and make a couple of clicks and find her location.
Life360 is selling data to who knows who.. so that is not an alternative..
But you understand what i mean, thus is really great feature to check your family… and great hook to stay with apple
I mean if you’re tracking your family, I hope that they have knowledge of it. There are so many ethics with tracking devices, it’s one thing I have never purchased (Apples air tags and so on).
I have to say I do not remember a past Samsung flagship device this good on battery and I have had many (if not all).

I agree with this, i love the battery life on my S23 Ultra. Samsung are rumoured to be testing a new Exynos chip
, if they return to Exynos for the S24 Ultra i will not be buying one. The difference between the Exynos and this Snapdragon chip, is night and day!!!
what icon pack, home screen layout do people use? Coming from an IPhone Im a bit lost for ideas and apart from Nova Launcher I'm not sure what to use

I have an unlocked S23U on AT&T.
So Amazon UK have today refunded my Chromebook from the bundle. Just waiting for the Samsung cashback and we have a steal of a deal for the Lavender S23 Ultra!
