From what I read it wont be solved as it is hw problem… only s23 and s23 plus are affected, ultra is not.Thank you dnis
Sorry if I wasn’t able to explain myself I thought it was already a well-known issue since some, if I’m not mistaken, S22 models are already affected.
I think you will find if you use a dedicated app or a different lens and/or distance to subject you do not get this issue when scanning text,A little context goes a long way.....Thank you. We get a ton of Apple fans come to this section to throw shade at anything that isn't Apple. I guess I jumped to that conclusion here..... That is the first I have heard of this issue to be honest. No one else in this section has menetioned it. I am also on other forums and have not heard about it either.
Either way..I hope Samsung fixes it soon with an software update
That's old hat, most know how to send full res when you want
People erroneously put everything down to screen refresh rates. The processor, amount of RAM and/or operating system is more likely the reason for the fluidity. My S23 Ultra is noticeably more fluid and spritely than my Z Fold 4 and both have a fast processor, 12GB of RAM and 120Hz refresh rates. In this instance I would put it down to the processor as the S23 Ultra is 8 gen.2 v 8 gen.1Really liking my S23 Ultra, I am using it alongside a 14 Pro.
The Samsung actually feels more fluid and faster in everyday use, I’m not sure why since both are 120hz. All I know is flicking and scrolling feels smoother on Android with this phone.
The screen is incredible. Even if the vivid mode isn’t the most color accurate, it’s far more pleasing to look at.
I like the pen not for anything serious but just doodling and listening to music, very relaxing.
If not for the Apple Watch which I like using for walks, I’d be all in on this S23 Ultra I think. I don’t care about iMessage/FaceTime etc. Maybe the Galaxy watch is alright, I’m just a little afraid to try it.
Honestly, the Galaxy Watch is good enough if you just want to use it for walks. I've kind of stopped wearing watches in general, but I do like to put mine on if I'm going to go for a walk or run.Really liking my S23 Ultra, I am using it alongside a 14 Pro.

Wow that’s always been the opposite experience for me. My dad couldn’t stand it if I called him on any iPhone I ever called him on. He would ask me to call him back on any of my Androids. But Pixel 3XL was terrible. It wouldn’t drop a call outright but it would drop the sound. So the call was still connected but one or the other party couldn’t hear the other. Was a nightmare when my husband and I would both be calling each other on those phones. SighIf I'm getting cack call quality, poor reception and sometimes dropped calls then I would say that my one to two bars of signal strength is a fairly reliable indicator. Never had an engineer out. Sony was even worse but I'll give iPhones their dues, or certainly the old ones, they gave me better signal reception.
Tomorrows Samsung event will be interesting, the Galaxy Watch 6 is said to be announced. The Watch 6 is rumoured to bring back the rotating bezel, at least on the classic model.Honestly, the Galaxy Watch is good enough if you just want to use it for walks. Really your that out of touchDo tell!
The only Android phones I've owned have been Sony and Samsung so I can't comment on the Pixels etc. My Note 10 Plus gave me categorically the worst reception from any phone EVER.😦Wow that’s always been the opposite experience for me. But overall I used to try to use my Android phones for voice calls.
And my S23 Ultra can give me service in some restaurants that my iPhones can’t get any useful connection in. I’ll see bars of service but nothing will load and messages won’t come in. I swear sometimes some of these places must purposely block the signal to force you to sign in to their free Wi-Fi so you end up on their mailing list.
that commercial that kept playing on repeat is more than enough reason to boycott flip phonesSamsung event in 15 minutes. I'm not sold on foldables, will have to see what Samsung announce this time. The S23 Ultra is a beast and I think better than any foldable.
Heard rumours Samsung are moving back to Exynos with the S4 series here in Europe, if thats the case Samsung will lose me as a customer, I'll keep my S23 Ultra but will not buy anymore.

Very hard to leave this phone for a phone $600 more experience with lesser specs on every category. In fact, I love my 10x Zoom so much that it's been the deciding factor in my not switching back to iPhone.Well that was underwhelming, I also forgot how cringey Samsung events are
The Watch does nothing for me, the Apple Watch Ultra is where I'm at, for running and exercise you can't beat it. Add Apple fitness Plus and Apple are crushing it when it comes to fitness.
Foldables are just not interesting to me, I'm no more sold this year than I was last year.
the Tab S9 series looks nice, software and Apps are just not optimised like they are on iPad OS.
Sticking with my S23 Ultra and won't be buying anything from todays event. Next event will be Apples iPhone event in September.
I didn’t see the event. I’m interested in flip phones from a hobbyist perspective, but I can’t afford to play with phones as a hobby anymore. I’m not messing with trades with Samsung either, after the last fiasco.
They took me seriously when I wrote them how mad I was and didn’t send me the usual promotional emails or any other forms of communication I usually get for new products.

For sure. That's why I think my long term plan is to probably return to Apple at some point. I even get annoyed by Google Drive and saving files. This phone has just been too good to part with, haha. While I really like my S23 Ultra, I’m just not convinced by Samsungs Ecosystem. For me Apple’s ecosystem is what I prefer, that’s why I’ll be watching the Apple event in September.
With Samsung pulling stunts (possibly) of bringing back the Exynos, I'm not convinced I’ll be using another device of theirs past my current S23 Ultra.

Yeah I think that's been my biggest adjustment in moving to Samsung. I feel less organized. There's One Drive, Google Drive, and I feel like a lot of files are scattered across them.Oh I don't user Google Drive or Google Photos, any photos I take I send them over to my iPhone. I have Apple One Premier so I've got 2TB in iCloud storage. The only reason I've returned to the S23 Ultra is because it's a great device, Samsungs best in my opinion.
That being said I'm looking forward to what Apple have to show at the September event. I have read that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be getting better zoom for the camera. It will won't be anywhere near the S23 Ultra tho I don't think.
I used to feel that way as well. Now I have everything set to sync to Google. Data goes to Gdrive and all pictures go to Google photos. Even my iPhone is set this way for photos and most other things that IOS allows me to do.Yeah I think that's been my biggest adjustment in moving to Samsung. I feel less organized.
