The person I sold my S23U on Swappa backed out of the sale, so I have my S23U again. I put my SIM into it. It was obviously meant to be.

Thank God for Beeper, because I am able to use iMessage still for all of my iPhone friends and family, SMS for Android user, and WhatsApp all in one app. And I am able to receive everything through my Apple Watch as well thanks to Beeper! So happy.

Selling the Nothing phone instead?

why did you put it up for sale in the first place? thought I saw how much you loved it. iMessage related?
No, I recently got the Nothing Phone (2) and it was a hassle carrying around 3 phones. I will be selling the Nothing Phone now instead.

If anyone is interested in the Phone (2), DM me. I will give you a MR discount!

Speaking of the camera, does anyone else find that the colour red is a problem? Burgundy and maroon reds come out looking much lighter. My Note 10 Plus and Z Fold 4 had the same issue with deep reds and I was hoping the S23U would perform differently in this regard. It's obviously a Samsung thing but why?

Hate to say it but I might have hit my last straw with Android today. For whatever reason, Android Auto no longer connects (wired). I cleared data and cache on the Android Auto app and that didn't help.

Back on the day I had a lot more patience for things like this and it was fun to research how to fix bugs, but I'm at the point where I just need things to work.

As much crap as I've given Apple in the last year, I'm really starting to miss the things that I just knew would work. Between phone calls going straight to VM and now Android Auto not connecting, it's just hard to really consider Android a long time solution.

You were always going back to an iPhone, this is just the excuse you needed. No judgement, but you could see it coming, you're just an apple guy

And iOS is perfect with zero bugs?

absolutely not. A banking app and the ebay app I use doesn't give me the notifications when it should. I don't know if that's poor development/coding or a bug in iOS but it has lost me sales in eBay and annoying in the banking app.

so yes, iOS is full of bugs too.

Have you tried to use a different wire? It’s possible you have a faulty connection

Are you able to restart your info system?

I’m similar to yourself, I’ve decided that i’m sticking with my iPhone. I’ve sold my second S23 Ultra for the price I paid for it, to a friend. I just don’t get on with Android long term.

The 10x zoom is awesome, but it’s just not a long term reason to keep with Samsung. Yesterday apps I were using crashed back to the Home Screen not once, or twice but a few times, i had to reset my S23 Ultra. It’s little things like that, things I’ve never had with my iPhone.

Also I noticed that when taking pictures of moving children or pets, the S23 Ultra pictures result in a blurry mess. My iPhone 14 Pro doesn’t seem to be as bad.

I’m looking forward to the iPhone 15, I’ve enjoyed my time with the S23 Ultra but it’s time for me to fully return to IOS and iPhone. I’ve also enjoyed this thread and everyone’s opinions and tech enthusiasm :)

I'm considering trade s23u for fold 5 but cámara would be down grade
maybe wait until end of august to see what one plus fold has to offer? said to have a better camera than fold 5, thinner, lighter, bigger display when opened, pericope lens and will have more the look of normal phone.

Everyone has different experiences I guess. Mine just shut itself down and went back to the Home Screen, tapped it to go back to the app and it did it again. Tried a different app, same thing. It’s just a little thing really, when it comes to Android it’s just not the same as IOS in my opinion, I find IOS more polished and just better to use.

Everyone is different tho, im not here to poop on Android or Samsung. I did enjoy my S23 Ultra, I just decided that in the long run I much prefer IOS and I’m an Apple guy through and through really.

Also my friends son was looking for a new phone, he starts high school in September here in the UK. My friend is a techy kinda guy and decided to give his son his 22 Ultra since he was going to upgrade himself to the S23, I offered to sell him mine at the same price I paid for it, he bit my hand off.
