Im sorry Rene is stuck in the biggest reality distortion field i have ever seen. Its not just this, its everything..
Comments like "iPhone is the best google phone". He is ridiculous. I have a 6 Plus but i can see that Samsung has the best cameras at the moment. The picture with the women not visible on iphone yet Rene claims its better is hysterical.

There are some google apps that work better on the iPhone than they do on other Android OEM units.

How about simply because one likes to have variety, as I explained previously.

I have an iPhone 4S, 5S, iPad 2 and iPad Air. Selling the 4S and iPad 2 would only be a gain of chump change. And I don't want to give up my most updated iPhone or iPad. I use the 5S for my second line. Was going to get the SE to replace it, but 16gb is too little and 32gb is too expensive for a phone that's not my daily driver. I had no interest in the 6, 6S, or 6S+, cause I feel I get the same experience from the 5S.

I personally find nothing major about the lastest iPhone that I like over the lastest Galaxy devices. But I do like to tinker with Android, iOS, WP, and whatever I can get my hands on.

You are looking for a definitive explaination from jamezr, which he probably doesn't have and doesn't need to have. Some users just like to have differ experiences at any given time for no reason whatsoever besides interest.

I understand what you're saying. At least you're giving an answer. I'd think that you get some sort of benefit holding on to your iPhone though. Like earlier, if you have a galaxy and a 6s plus, a 1000 phone (not chump change imo), and basically all I read are posts and threads about how much better the Galaxy is than the iPhone, and that there's nothing the iPhone can do that the Galaxy cannot, then why keep the iPhone? It's a simple question imo. And he never answered it, instead choosing to basically name calling. I was genuinely curious, seeing how he buys all these phones, what keeps the iPhone in the rotation.

It's really a simple question though. You love your dell that's great. Now if u own that dell and a MacBook yet you post threads about how much better your sell is vs your MacBook, I'd ask a simple question too; why keep the MacBook if the dell is what you much prefer.

Jamezr has said numerous times he has the best of both worlds. So what in the iPhone does he find the best of for that world to keep it?

Someone mentioned that the iPhone that he has belongs to his wife. I do not know who that poster was, but it was mentioned in one of the threads in alternative forum.

Like ..... ???

My only guess would be Hangouts, which I despise on Android and never tried on iOS. But I can't think of any other possible Google app or service that's better on iOS.

YouTube. My subscription list is constantly reloading and going to the top on my galaxy phones, no such problem on my iPhone it keeps on the same spot no reloading.

I don't have that issue on my S7 edge. Maybe it was an issue on previous Galaxy phones, but I never noticed nor checked.

I guess this is where you and differ. Because at the end of the day , it is just his opinion and I may not agree with him, but at least he paints a clear picture of where he's coming from and backs it up with with actual facts and experiences. He can bash or praise whoever he wants, as long as he explains why he thinks that, im fine with it. What gets me is when people bash or praise without explaining why or by using misinformation. So while I don't agree on many things he says, I have never heard him blatantly lie and give misinformation, it's not like he doctored those photos to make the iPhone look better, he posted the actual photos and told you what he thinks of them. And you can look at those same photos and draw your own conclusion, which most have by disagreeing with him.
Again, I'm all for people having an opinion. But that doesn't mean a person can just spout off random untrue stuff, especially when you're working for a supposed too tech site. But seriously, some of the stuff he has posted about android was just plain ridiculous. It would be like if I posted some crazy stuff about Apple on this site. Yeah it's my opinion but it's still crazy as hell.

Does he know a lot about Apple? Yeah he does. I can respect that. But again, he doesn't even need to mention android or Samsung, for that matter. B/c that's where the intellect stops and the bs starts. If he's going to blindly defend Apple at all cost then he needs to only talk about Apple. The comparison articles and videos are pointless IMO

Does that happen as soon as you leave app and go back in, or noticeable time later ?

I've just tried here on my edge and it's remaining there.

Edit...

OK gave it a couple of mins in background. Opened and it sprung me back to top of subscriptions too.

Just happened again and this time I only came out of the app a few seconds ....

Weird as it's not fully refreshing either. Very odd behaviour. It seems to do it more if you just watched a video. Come out of the video. Leave app and then go back in, it springs to top of subscriptions list.

OK yeah it's happening often now .... curse you for making me notice this, it's gonna drive me nuts.

I don't know if that's true, all I know is he kept saying best of both worlds yet basically never praising the iPhone on anything, instead constantly posting about how the Galaxy beat the iPhone on this and that. It's why I asked him a simple question of why keep the iPhone then.
and...i have answered it soooo many times for you, Because I want to that is why! I have had every iphone Apple has made. I love my 6s+ and i use it weekly and sometimes daily. I have posted this sooo many times now it is beyond redundant. So now answer my questions
You have professed to have a strong dislike for Samsung phones and Android as a whole. I don't think you own any current gen Android phones. So why are you here in the Alt section so much? Why do you have the need to come here and always say something negative in general tone about Android in all the threads here?

Out of curiousity, with all the threads that you not just participate in, but actually take the time to start, that tout something or other in relation to Android phones and/or poke at Apple in one way or another, are there threads that you have started that focus on Android in a negative connotation or Apple in a positive connotation?

Honestly i have the 6s plus and the 7edge and i love both phones..to me they look very similar..i don't consider the s7edge camera leaps and bounds better then the iPhone's almost two year old camera

Haha, sorry but the s7 edge blows the iphone 6s plus camera out of the water. I have both too. You need to have your eyes checked.

It actually makes a lot of sense that the iPhone is not his. I say this because I once debated him on the proper way to get SOT per 24 hour period on the iPhone. Even after I explained to him in detail how to do it and posted screenshots he still failed to go through the process. He just kept posting the same banter over and over again. He did not even try to do it. It makes sense now why he refused to do it, the iPhone is not his and he does not use it much. It belongs to his wife. That is why when you ask him what he specifically likes about the iPhone he does not reply. All he says is he loves the iPhone but he does not explain why.

How does it "blow it out of the water"? Daylight shots and videos are practically the same on both, slightly dim shots are actually better on the iPhone (less noise), it's low light where the edge has a huge advantage, that and the camera app has a pro mode, but you can download a 3rd party app to get that same control on the iPhone.

Noise is something I haven't noticed on my S7 edge, in any type of lighting. But it's the focus speed that really takes the cake for me. I wonder if the iPhone 7 dual camera will match or surpasse that. IMO, it's a long shot.

YES! Forgot about that, the focus speed is incredible. Even if the iPhone 7 doesn't use the dual camera, they can use more focus pixels like the S7 does. I really hope with how good the S7 camera is in alow light that others will start using bigger pixels, I really want to see a 12 megapixel /ultra pixel camera. I believe that had 2 nanometer pixels, while the S7 still only uses 1.6 (which is still larger than most that use 1.2 or 1.4)

I vaguely remember that. If memory serves me right, the point he was making is that there is no way to check screen on time with an iPhone. You can check usage time, which isn't the same, but not screen on. On android it's the opposite, you can check screen on time, but not usage time. So using those 2 metrics to compare the 2 is like comparing apples to oranges.

Re-read what I typed. It was very clear. The phones that I own are in my signature.
