I'm not attacking anyone. Sure. I don't presently own an android phone. I don't think I'm being negative at all. Presently my iPhone is what I prefer. If I owned both the iPhone and Galaxy at the same time, I wouldn't keep both if I praised one as much as you praise the Galaxy. I'm asking a simple question, one even reviewers would either ask or answer. Since you own both what about the iPhone makes it 1/2 of the best of both worlds u say that your Galaxy doesn't provide?
Since no-one has actually answered the question you asked, only criticised the question, I'll answer based on my own choice / preferences and reasoning.
What I really enjoy in my iPhone 6S+and why I have one (and will keep an iOS device) ...
I much prefer the consistency of experience on iOS. Generally things are more consistent and behave in a way you expect them too than the myriad of android handsets I've owned . Performance and battery life and even the camera all perform in a consistent and reliable manner. There is a never a day where my battery depletes a lot faster for no obvious reasons for example.
I love the way as a multi mac user that handoff / continuity works. That my macs and iPads and even iPod all work together. The way I can answer and send a text message from my laptop or desktop, or even my iPod touch and it will automatically route that message to my iPhone and send and receive it as an SMS. An example would be the gym. I leave my iPhone in the car, and take my iPod touch into the gym. It connects to the gyms wifi - and because of continuity / handoff - I can still receive and send text messages, I can still initiate telephone calls which are then routed to my phone. So I get ability to use my phone, on my iPod, in an exercise environment where I don't want to take my €900 phone. That's a great ability to work like this with other apple devices.
I actually really like Apple's LCD displays. I have so many 2k screens and this 'quantum' leap in quality - is something that isn't experienced by me. I discern very little difference and can not see any pixel difference between my iPhone 6S+ and my S7e, N6p, Moto X force etc.. What I do like about Apple's LCD displays and what is important for me is outdoor visibility. The iPhone 6S+ is excellent for use in sunlight. I also like the native white point and colour balance. On android I have to adjust to get similar experience - with samsung - i revert to basic mode, Nexus 6p I turn on RGB mode, Moto X + others I install screen balance and have to adjust saturation and white points.
Battery life - whilst the S7e & my moto X force give it a run for its money - the battery life is pretty stellar on my 6S+
What I really enjoy in my androids and why I will continue to use them as well ....
N6P / Moto X Force, I love stock android visually. I find there is a consistency in aesthetics and apps that I appreciate. From a performance level - the way stock android optimises in a similar manner to iOS to provide an optimised experience that doesn't rely on just raw horsepower to provide a decent user experience. The UI experience like iOS feels so much better when its consistent at delivery stutter free animations at fast frame rates.
I also love the Moto X display features and voice recognition.
Samsung - I love the physical aesthetic of the phone and screen. I find Samsung do provide some of the best and consistent camera experiences on the Android platform. The camera software is great and other than LG & Sony are the best on the platform, especially compared the barebones Moto and Google camera apps.
The trade off with Samsung for me has always been TW and its burden it puts on even the most powerful hardware. My S7e is the best Samsung phone I've had, I enjoy the myriad of technical aspects it has, but I would be lying if I said it was smooth 100% of the time, it isn't. It's not without the occasional dropped frame still in UI animations. I notice this when going into home screen management - the first time I go into home screen managment the animation clearly drops a few frames leaving a little stutter, but go into it again straight after and animation plays perfectly. It's tiny quirk that still shows that TW doesn't deliver the optimised experience Stock Android and IOS do. Likewise there are features Samsung like briefing / upday screen that can again can still cause little animation flutters or delays when they are in use. Not deal breakers - but would love Samsung to just dump them once and for all.
In general, I love on my android devices Wireless charging, and quick charging. I like the fact that I can by using third party apps create some form of uniformity by changing launcher and such.
Conclusion... So there you go - why I like having many devices.
Because there are various elements I love on all of them, but not one offers me 'everything' in its current form ......
But .... I see no point in turning EVERY thread into a VS peeing contest, which invariably happens in this sub fora which happens on both sides - but does get very tiresome.
However I can understand why someone would pose the question as to why someone would keep a device, or why they like a device if they are consistently post or create threads which seem to be
this device better than the other device?
As some one who owns a myriad of devices - I don't see the point in creating threads based on arbitrary opinions of other reviewers to validate my own - I just use my devices, warts and all.
That all being said - can this perpetual peeing contest that has been going on this sub fora please be put to rest for a few days. If an outsider came into this forum, all this bickering just shames us all and looks bad on all of the contributors to this sub fora.
