Here some comparison shots between my S8, iPhone 7 Plus, and S7. I think the screen ratio on the S8 should be the new standard, in the hand it feels much nicer, but for the most part you get more onscreen than even with the larger iPhone.
When it comes to web pages, you get more onscreen and have less scrolling, even when compare with the plus. When watching standard 16x9 video, you basically get the same size video as the S7, so the plus gives a better viewing experience. However when watching extended wide screen video (like what's normally used in movies) you actually get a larger viewing with the S8.
Basically anything optimized for the wider screen you get more screen, but anything not optimized you still get the same viewing space as you did on the S7. I really wish they could've gotten rid of the top and bottom bezels, as that would've kept the phone the same size as the S7.
Nightshift is on.@Fernandez21 eek is nightshift mode turned on with your iPhone. The white balance looks well and truly off. My iPhone 7's whites are white even compared to my androids. If yours didn't have nightshift mode on, I probably would have exchanged the phone by now myself as I couldn't put up with that personally.
I use photo mode, but night shift is on all phones. Main reason for the comparison how much viewable screen space you get on each device, not quality.nice comparasions!
Are you using your S8 in Basic screen modus or another one?
Will Android ever support badge counts for app like gmail, outlook, etc? I moved from a iPhone 7 to a Galaxy S8 a few days ago. I have been away from Android for a while so I am learning all of the new stuff.
Yeah, health data is protected with Knox now so won't work on a rooted device

I think the upcoming Notification Dots should be able to support #s for various notifications/messages within an app. Will Android ever support badge counts for app like gmail, outlook, etc? This is the only smartwatch I have any interest in. It also helps that it's the best looking one, too. Maybe on a Black Friday deal or something...
Still in no rush to get into smartwatches at the moment.
I got it for 50$ on contract because I pre-ordered the S8+. Loving it.
I have a hard time giving up my classic time pieces that I've collected over the years.
But if the right deal comes along... maybe.
If you still want an S3 in 2 years or so when I replace this one I'll offer it to you for the cheapest price of free.
That being said, the battery might need to be replaced by then.
Just remind me then.

Tempted by the BOGO deal Samsung has, unfortunately it's only Tmobile. Why only Tmobile Samsung?!?!?

Interesting to see them side by side, the iPhone screen actually looks larger. I would be really disappointed if Samsungs screen ratio became the norm, it's size in specs isn't true in my mind because it's just stretched out. Looking at those pics I prefer the wider screen, even with it's gigantic bezels. If Apple sticks to 16:9 for the iPhone 8 it's going to be amazing.
To s8 owners, have you test your s8 whether your phone comes with ufs 2.1.
Use androbench. If ufs 2.1, sequential read speed should be above 700mb/s

I don't think Samsung decides carrier deals.
