Correct me if im wrong but the Note series is different than the regular Galaxy series in that for one, they are a lot bigger and have a S pen and dont always have the same backs to them so for me anyways, i never compare the GS8/GS8+ , GS9/GS9+ and those before them to the Notes. I always felt the Notes were always a step up so when you say the GS9 isnt a step up from the Note 8, my thought is......its not supposed to be. There will be a Note 9 for that.

Very good point. I was thinking more in terms of that GS9 is "newer" than the Note 8. Hell, I haven't even done my homework in regards to if Oreo is out yet for the Note 8.
[doublepost=1520536171][/doublepost]Oh man, now I've watched a couple YouTube reviews and I want the S9+. So close to pulling the preorder trigger.

PS. Are they not offering gifts this year? I could use another wireless fast charger for my office!

Gboard - Google keyboard might or can the keyboard preys be reset?
I’m just bad at typing on the IPad mini keyboard. I’m okay if I’ve been using it for awhile. But I’ve been doing most of my posting from my phones and am a bit out of practice.

Some quick first impressions.

Feels like what the S8 should/could have been, similar feeling like S6 to S7.
Feels better in the hand than the S8+/Note 8. Edges are hardly noticeable or I've gotten used to them.
Scroll feels buttery smooth. Speakers are a lot louder and clearer than before.
Call quality is excellent loud and clear.

I’m excited to try out the dual speakers.

Received my dispatch email today but delivery is by Monday?!

That’s depressing as I’m all ready to play NOW!

Case and screen protector are already here!

Same here!

I ordered from amazon (I’m in the UK). Where did you order from?

I’m glad to be reading such positive comments about call quality. I called my dad from my iPhone 8 Plus yesterday. I think it’s much improved in call quality over my 7 Plus but still I got that dreaded “Are you calling me from the bottom of a well again?” He always complains when I call him from an iPhone.

Usually I call him from my Pixel 2 or the S8+ (when it had my second sim in it) but I was in a rush and had my iPhone handy because I’d just finished texting on iMessages.

iPhone User Here. I have preordered the S9+ as my second line phone. Hopefully we get them early in the US. I currently have a by 3/14 delivery date. This is my first unlocked Samsung phone. Are the carrier phones better with updates?

When I had both an unlocked S7 and an AT&T S7 Edge, yes the carrier phones were decent with updates and the unlocked was not updated for months. I’m told the unlocked S8’s were updated better.

Good luck. Look forward to your comparisons. Which iPhone do you have btw?

More camera data to process. Suggest playing with sound muted for more of a blind test then replay it with sound. Too bad they didn't include the Pixel 2 which I think has the best processing.

Another impressive showing for the S9(+) v iPhone X...

Some points are debatable, but that doesn't mean the S9 isn't one solid package.
