It's a shame the colour was off, the details are way better. There was no yellow Color on the Meat. The S9+ got it wrong. It‘s way to warm.
I'm guessing it was auto mode?

I think game launcher may be messing my game up, I don’t know. I put the new Sims Mobile game on my iPhone 8 Plus and my S8+ (don’t have the 9+ yet). The game plays nicely on both, except for one part in which I have to assign stickers to passing characters with blue plum bobs over them. Then on the Samsung the action freezes for several moments. Sometimes the game crashes altogether. Everything is fine on iOS.
I don’t notice any dropped frames but this isn’t like the games you are playing.
There are a lot of camera comparisons out there where the S9+ does a lot better than the IPX as well. It's a shame the colour was off, the details are way better.

I read somewhere that the Snapdragon models were going to have the advantage with games due to the Adreno gpu, while Exynos would have its usual advantages everywhere else. When playing asphalt 8 the iphone also clearly wins, even is I turn off high framerate mode on the X. Both should run 30fps, but the iPhone is just smoother. I don't know why.
I've installed game tuner to squeeze some more performance out of the phone and I can get close to 60fps locked on arena of valor now by reducing resolution 75 percent (1080p, which is fine) and putting hardware performance on +5 (tuner says it causes heat, but even then it is way cooler than the iPhone).
Game launcher has been disabled, since it just drops performance massively, I don't know why. I guess the phone throttles too much.
NFS No Limit also lags on the S9 while being smooth on the X, and the list goes on.
Tekken is smooth ingame, but stutters after defeating an enemy (when it falls to the ground) and when scrolling through the menu's and opening crystals.
I've got the Exynos chip btw.

Interesting article pointing out what they believe are design issues in the iPhone X in comparison to the S9. They point out RAM, battery capacity, and the design of iOS that requires an update to make a change to any component.
It’s not actually warm. It’s just completely off. It also looks hazy, as if the lens were smudged or something. It’s just a bad photo. They happen to the best of cameras sometimes. There was no yellow Color on the Meat. The S9+ got it wrong. It‘s way to warm.

I’ll throw some links in about the spec comparisons I’ve seen so far:

This article is a bit outdated but it is the one that speculated on the relative strength of the Qualcomm variant’s GPU vs that of the Exynos. Note that the specs listed are somewhat different from what was ultimately released. https://www.sammobile.com/2017/02/2...msung-exynos-8895-vs-qualcomm-snapdragon-835/
One thing I like about gaming on my Samsungs from last year vs iPhone from 2016 and 2017 is that Samsung tends to stay cool except in VR after about 20 minutes, but my iPhones—aluminum or glass, get hot and I feel I need oven mitts to hold them. I had trouble with 2016 Samsungs and HTC with their Snapdragon 820/821 chips overheating. Snapdragon 835 kept its cool. But that may be due to aggressive throttling. I tend to keep the Samsungs for two years, so I appreciate them staying cool even at the expense of some performance if it prolongs the life of their battery and overall operations.
My iPhone 7 Plus was showing signs of premature aging. The battery life was all over the place and the whole phone would suddenly overheat quite often, regardless of what I was using it for, in other words not just during games. I liked that phone so much and meant to keep it two years, but once the warranty was up, I decided it was wise to trade it in on a discount for the 8 Plus while it was still functional and worth something.
I loved carrying the X around for the most part, though with a case on it did feel very heavy in my pocket. I guess that’s the trade off we get for durability and elegance of stainless steel and thick strong glass. But the display being so narrow did feel oddly confining. I think there was a lot of screen there but it just didn’t feel like it, for some reason. My S8+ feels a bit narrow, too, and the edges are a little bit much for my taste. I thought the 9+ was the refinement of the Edge that I was looking for. Note 8 has nice edges, too. I was tempted by the Note 8 when I looked at the 9+ but I wanted those stereo speakers and other updates the 9+ has and the slightly smaller size. That's dissapointing. I'd rather have the Adreno chip then. Where is the parity?
I love the screen size on the 9+, especially with Arena of Valor. On the X it's just a bit too small. Just don't like the hiccups. I guess this is what PC gamers felt like when they only got poor ports.
Maybe because the screen is new?Other people also amazed by how smooth the screen is? on iPhones my fingers would stick to the screen if not using a screen protector, but on the S9+ it's like there is a protector on it already in terms of smoothness
On iPhone when I use it for a while and use the side of my hand to slide the screen I can feel pieces of oil/dirt whatever sitting on it. Like the screen just wants stuff to stick to it.
On de S9 this just never happens. So. much. better.
I found the oleophobic coating on the S8+ to be very pleasant but more prone to scratches than the one on my 7 Plus. My S8 Plus has had a tempered glass protector on it from the very first few minutes that I got it, so I don’t know much about it.Other people also amazed by how smooth the screen is? on iPhones my fingers would stick to the screen if not using a screen protector, but on the S9+ it's like there is a protector on it already in terms of smoothness

Aiyeeee! Congratulations! All I have is a shipping notice! That’s what I get for dithering. I can not wait for your comments.Got my new Coral Blue S9+! Setting it up now and then going to restore it from my Note 8 in Smart Switch. WooHoo!
Maybe because the screen is new?
. I like that you’re in a different time zone with plenty of your day left to post!Few shots of the vine at my house. The first shot is with 1.5 aperture the last shot is live focus
[doublepost=1520966368][/doublepost]Gotta say...quite impressed with the size and dimensions. The Coral Blue is a little darker than I thought it would be. I loved the coral blue on the Note 7! But this coral blue is darker and a little silver mixed in lol
LOVE the FPS location. It is fast and accurate. Will test Face unlock and Intelligent scan later.
This phone feels so nice in the hand...little thick with some heft to it but I like it
