I bought one as a backup phone line for my husband and me. It does not feel like a flagship compared to my 12 Pro Max or Note 20 Ultra and I wish it supported Dex and S-pen but it is a great little phone for its niche. It is very pocketable yet has a great camera (no telephoto is only deficit I see and I don’t use that very much anyway), fantastic screen, and decent battery life for my purposes considering the portability of this device. I don’t know that I would give up my flagship phones but I’m keeping the Flip 3 anyway bc it’s wonderful for what it is. We are traveling right now and it is just too nice slipping it away in my pocket or tucking it in a bag. I also think it helps with weaning yourself away from habit of mindless scrolling or playing with a phone. I shut it (very satisfying to flip open and shut BTW) and am present where I am bc I’m not so tempted to glance down mindlessly at a phone screen. Also love using it tabletop at 90 degrees for snapshots and browsing. Note: the Samsung silicone ring case is a nice accessory.

I use a 12 Pro Max as my daily phone bc I have an elderly mom who can’t handle messaging otherwise but I do think at this point Samsung is innovating more and One UI software is more sophisticated and feature-laden than iOS. I love the way the app drawer works on One Ui, also Dex, notifications, navigation, S Pen note-taking, and dual app capability just to name a few.

Waiting for mine to be delivered in the UK by my carrier. It's taking so long I'm now tempted to cancel it and get the iPhone 13 Pro.

My Flip3 arrives tomorrow. Guess I’ll watch the Apple event today and see if my decision to dip my toe into android sticks. Tomorrow I’ll have a truly new toy to play with. New iPhone setup goes so quickly/easily these days transferring from one iPhone to the new that after an hour or two, I just have another iPhone in my hand. With the flip, I’ll have to learn the new OS and setup from scratch so that will be exciting.

I've had my Z Flip3 for a few weeks now. I'm still having so much fun with the hardware. I haven't had this much fun and excitement with smartphone hardware in years.

I dropped my Flip yesterday.
Well, I say drop. I had it with me when I went to the shop for some food, and when I got back into my car I didn't put it in my pocket, just next to my pocket on the seat.
By the time I got home I thought it was in my pocket and when I got out of the car it fell onto concrete... :(

I had no case on either as I still haven't found one I like. I've been SO careful with this phone, but now I have a small scuff on the bottom right (top right when flipped open) and there's also some very slight marks to the front glass but tbh, it's amazing how little you can see all of these things. It's obviously made of strong stuff as it did really clatter onto the ground (closed) and I honestly feared the worst.

Still annoyed about not putting it in my pocket, but it definitely could have been worse.

Did the exact same thing with my iPhone last summer, totally destroyed the whole back glass.

Ouch. I expected the same but it survived it pretty well!
Yeah to say I was gutted would be an understatement lol. It landed perfectly flat on it's back then slid from the top of my driveway to the footpath at the bottom, unfortunately my driveway is a steep incline and it slid down like a bar of soap haha.

Looking for some help and direction..bought for a family member, phone came in last night...

what we need is to figure how to get the flip to do what the iPhone 12 does on notifications.

end user had a stroke and has minimal finger strength and uses the phone many times with voice control

But need to figure how to get notifications to appear on lock screen fully open to read and not have to touch screen

Always on display on...tried 3rd party apps nothing is working..

Here is what we want...this is what we are getting just badges at the top tray

This will help!

Settings > Lock screen > Notifications > Select Details and make sure they stay on. That should solve your problem!

Man this phone feels solid... And compact... Panda is really nice but still slippery.. Might have to find that full body matte skin... Aramid case is super slim as expected and leather is nice feel as well.. Really digging this phone I've had for 6 hours... Lol
Dinner out and of course we were talking flip..

What device were you using prior to the Flip?

I’ve been in on foldable now since Z Fold 2 .. I’m currently using Fold 3 which I just swapped sim to this phone …and I carry iPhone 12 Pro …
I'm coming from 12 pro max. This is my first try at Android. I love the flip hardware. Battery is not the best though. Extracting my mobile device from the apple ecosystem is a bit of an adjustment

Wow big adjustment from the Pro Max.. I'm surprised you didn't go with the bigger Fold.. but this one is definitely easier to carry.. I'm going to run it thru the paces for a couple of weeks to gauge the battery... I know this is a subject of dissatisfaction across forums and Reddit... You will like Samsung with the way you can customize... How many days have you switched over?

I'm on day 3. I pre-ordered a 13PM yesterday just in case I don't adjust well to the change. I feel differently about it every day which is what I expected.

Haha nice.... You can always keep it along side the Max... But might be a pain switching between iOS and Android..

Returned my Z Flip 3. It runs hot. Camera is meh. The flipping is cool... but after a couple weeks, I found it annoying to have to open my phone to use it. Ordered iPhone 13 PM. Going back to Apple.

Amazing phone. Glad I got the exclusive white, as the white is a matte white. Keeps the phone completely fingerprint and smudge free. I can't bring myself to put a case on this beauty. I'll definitely be upgrading to the Flip 4, if they bring the Exynos with the AMD GPU. Also got the Watch 4 Classic. Perfect combination. Every time I use this phone, I feel I have something special. No more boring slabs. Loving the compact form factor. Being able to use Samsung Pay without opening the phone is extremely convenient for people without the watch. Nothing but folding phones for me, from here on.

BTW, you get more questions from strangers about the phone than you would expect. People are genuinely surprised when they see this tech is already here.

Im also rocking with the Panda.. But I'm still using Samsung cases I find it still a little slippery though it's great not to see fingerprints... I ordered Slickwraps matte clear skin hopefully does the trick...

I've got the official leather and clear case. The leather is nice, as it keeps in step with the premium feel of the phone. The clear is more functional because it has the ring to add some security when holding the phone. Better judgment says I need to start using a case, at the least, for when I'm out.

I’m returning mine. I do like the form and build of the flip but camera and battery are lacking. Received the iPhone 13 pro max today.
