EDIT: Nevermind...just did some research that clarified it has AOD, thought maybe it didn't have it at all. Is it just not customizable?
Thanks, yeah I didn't realize that turning on AOD also turned it on for the outside screen. I got confused because all the customization options were only for the inside display.
I haven't seen a way to customize the outside yet. Maybe goodlock?
I don't think there's a way yet. At the moment, gotta go with the cover AOD that's attached to the cover display selection. Maybe they'll eventually add it to Goodlock.

Was able to handle one today at Best Buy and while I like its flat, squared off edges better than the curved frame of Pixel Fold, the skinny form factor is just a non-starter. I'll take the Pixel Fold aspect ratios every time.

I've initiated the return of my Flip 5. Should be collected at some point on Monday.
Great phone, like it a lot. Love this form factor, Samsung have nailed the design.
Reasons for return are not major. Just little things which over time I think will get to me.
Camera and Samsung OS are the 2 main ones.
I can see why the Flip sells so well though. The inside cover screen is a game changer and I have loved changing that up most days with new pictures of my dog. Really cool. I'll miss that!

Was on the same boat. Camera was the only issue for me.
Safe to say durability will not be an issue with the Flip5. Over 400K folds is just amazing engineering. Water, eggs, and flour, so no problems using your flip while making a cake. Lol

I normally like Flossy reviews but there was far more expletives than usual IMO and I think he was a bit off
Lets face it he notes why give Samsung another $800 if you trade up from a GF4 to GF5
But fails to note you can double your storage gain 2 years warranty a new case plus the improvements on top suddenly halves this amount in real terms let alone having a new device

I think he’s viewing from the lens of the average joe. But Flossy’s has unrealistic desires such as a smartphone with everything in the box… from headphones, charger, cable, some adapters and a case.
And in addition to that, he wants Samsung to push the Galaxy Fold cover display drastically wider than it is now (similar to S23U in size). Oh, yeah… micro SD card added. And don’t forget the IR Blaster. I think when watching his videos… it’s more about the entertainment factor (especially when his vids are an hour long).
100% agree with the entertainment factor.. He's really fun to watch but I don't listen to all that stuff I always get a kick out of people wanting an IR blaster lmao I know I also want to change the channels at my local pizzeria joint... And really it's been a long time with the SD card can't we just drop it already ain't none of these companies putting in SD cards on the latest phones at least not for the premium builds...
I hate that stupid theme song for her and his sound test video ugh. Instant skip every time. Or he'll say shoes has the day off then 30 seconds later she pops up.

Lol he drives me nuts with the microSD, IR Blaster, and headphone jack. But he's still well worth watching for the entertainment factor and the thorough walk thru of the device. Cracks me up with the "Family Show" line when he sees hot chicks on Instagram

But being OTT is not going to get OEM's to change and his humors style was a bit lost in this one

But I do agree that a cable and probably a charger (power brick) should be included in the box.
I disagree about headphones and a case. When those are included they're usually junk. And even describing them as junk may be overstating their quality. Including these also may negatively impact willingness of some stores to carry the phone.
Honestly, I would've preferred more rounded edges like the pixel because it makes it easier to wedge my thumb between the halves to flip it open one handed.
And funnily I would've preferred more squared off flat edged on the pixel, giving better grip and a more solid one piece feel when closed.
Really love the look of my Flip, feels so incredibly solid, and love how you cant see the screen edge when it's off, perfectly blends in with the glass bezels.
Anytime I think I should put a case on my Flip5, I just can't do it. The materials and form factor are just too nice to cover up. Although, I definitely recommend Samsung's TPU screen protector. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 doesn't have micro scratch protection. Micro scratches on the back I don't mind, as they aren't visible because of the white colored back.
I'm using Samsung's Flap Eco-Leather case (Black), and I like it a lot.
Yeah, I don’t take him too seriously either but you can count on him to explore nearly every feature available. I’m not a Samsung device user but I’ve sure learned about the wealth of tricks and features available in One UI.
His expectations of all the accessories really falls back to all the Chinese OEMs that include that stuff…he loves all the devices from OPPO, Honor, Xiaomi, Realme, etc that through all that **** in the box. I don’t put much into it.
