I don't believe so. It might need to be a carrier employee as they need to convert your eSIM number to physical SIM. if your number was already a physical SIM going to eSIM, BB employee would easily be able to assist.
So I decided to order directly from Samsung instead and will pick it up at my local Best Buy.

Went with icy blue.

I'll report back my impressions. I have to say I am very excited.

How, man? You were so against the tiny useless external screens on the Galaxy Folds, and now you're into it? What changed?
Did I ever use such harsh language to describe the cover screen? I still absolutely feel it is too narrow however my need and desire for a foldable is too strong at this point to wait another year. I’m going to use the inner screen whenever possible and I’m hoping that voice dictation will work well for quick message replies on the go. We shall see.

There's no replacement for experience, and Samsung has the most with foldables. The software and durability of their devices proves it. That being said, if your into the bigger foldables, here's a reason to choose the Fold5 over the competition.

Holy crap, just got a message from UPS that I'm getting a package today from Samsung, on the Samsung website it shows my Flip isn't expected until the 11th and for some reason my watch 6 classic until the 18th.

Will be nuts if it's my pre order, anyone else getting their phones early?

What's this $985 discount? Trade in? Curious what you are coming from...and if the Flip 5 will be your daily driver.

My Fold 3 is the trade in plus education discount.

On my work line, It will be in my rotation, along with my Pixel Fold and Pixel 7 (Pixel 8 when released).

For the past 2 years my rotation was Fold 3, Razr, and Pixel 6/7/S22.

On my personal line, the iPhone 13 pro has been my daily since launch.

For those wanting to get a screen protector for their Flip5, here's how the coverage looks with the Samsung OEM screen protector. Good thing you get 2 per pack, because I messed up the first one when I was trying to get on spec of dust out. Should've just left it, as it wasn't even noticeable unless you really looked for it. You'll notice all the third party screen protectors follow the folder shape of the display, but the OEM goes beyond that folder shape. Also, this is not glass. This is the same TPU that come on the main screen of the phone. Does not have that rubbery feel like most third party TPU film.

Wow, it actually came early! Going to be setting it up tonight, but might be a little while until I actually start using it (still don’t have a case and still in the honeymoon with my pixel fold)

2/3 of my rotation is complete, just waiting on the Pixel 8 now to complete.

I placed an order on Friday for an icy blue 512, sand spen case, and a silver 47mm 6 classic with camel leather band. It’s coming Tuesday except for the watch which says Sept 22nd but I hope it doesn’t take that long
Did you return the Pixel Fold?

The Flip 5 hinge is insanely durable. On the stress test they just submerged it in sand at 350k folds. Pulled it out and blew it off. For the first several folds you could hear the sand in the hinge but eventually the sand worked its way off and it's still functional. Very impressive.

How do you plan on rotating all 3 phones? And you don't carry an iPhone with you? But that Flip 5 looks irresistible on that table... seems like a fun phone to use.
I carry 2 phones (one for personal use and the other for work)

iPhone is the daily on the personal line, all my family uses iOS and my daughter calls me on FaceTime from her iPad.

On my work line, I will swap between my android phones depending on my mood. Everything is synced through the cloud so I just pop my sim card in the phone I want to use. Will typically use the same phone for a couple of weeks before swapping it.

I also have an Apple watch and Galaxy Watch Classic, that I will wear depending on my mood, but typically I wear my Apple watch (especially when I'm not working as will occasionally just leave my android (work) phone behind when I'm having family time.

How you like the new fold case? Thinking of ordering it. Seems better than the old one
I never really used the F3 to F4 cases by Samsung but the F5 you need it more for the new slimmer S-Pen :)

I forgot how much extra bulk I was adding by may case selection previously as I always had a flip cover case

The new one along with no gap F5 makes a big difference but it is fiddly getting pen out

Finally got my Flip 5. I'm not impressed by the Online Only green color though, but I would have disliked the mint even more. It's going to be in a case anyway, so no big deal.

I wish they made the same Red (Orangish) color for the Flip 5 that my S23U has.

So far I'm loving the more compact feel of the Flip 5, opened or closed. Defiantly a relief on my pocket.

I'll miss the S23U. 🥲

The battery life on my Z Flip 5 is really good. Easily lasts longer than my 7 Pro.

One thing I don't like about Samsungs is there's SO many notifications i can't turn off. I get loads about "device care" and when I try to turn them off, I can't. Annoying.

Another weird trait, my Pixel when I tap and hold a notification and click 'turn off' it let's me decide which specific notifications to turn off from the app. Whereas with Samsung it just turns all of them off.

Those niggles aside, very much enjoying using the phone!

You can turn the notifications off within the individual apps settings. You can also turn tips and device care notifications off.
