Holy S***. That looks fire.
Samsung done a terrible job marketing these exclusive colours as they dont look great on the website but looks amazing in these pics!
I was a bit cautious going with blue but am happy I did. I’m still torn on the case since it looks so darn good naked. I may try out another case, but not seeing anything I like yet that doesn't add too much bulk. Ultimately I just want to protect against scratches. Maybe I'll check out skins too, but I am horrible at installing those.

Yeah I'm the same as you. I don't like cases on candy bar slab phones so I sure as heck hate them more on foldables. They just look rubbish.
Plus, the feel of the Flip is great. Samsungs hardware is super impressive.

I tried a skin on the original Z Flip years back. Hated that too 😅

I've applied to previous phones that came out great for protection of scratching..comes in matte and semi gloss ..but ya got to be patient with install ...

How's your Fold 4 holding up after one year of use ?
Well, it’s held up quite impressively. Given all the negativity around durability concerns.. haven’t had an issue with any crack display (knock on wood). I had actually dropped it on concrete within 2 to 3 months into ownership… without a case.

This was a short drop… while getting out the car, I’m normally careful when it comes to matters such as this. But during that moment… my mind was elsewhere and luckily not any major damages were caused by it. Looking at the Fold 4 now, I barely see any significant damages to it… looks pretty good considering all that it’s been through.

About month or 2 ago, I had to remove the original screen protector on the inner screen because it started peeling… haven’t gotten it replaced yet. Paid for Care+… not in a hurry to get it a replacement, will cross that bridge when the time comes.

And I don’t really pay attention to the crease… I think the public make such a big deal out of it, but under extended use one could actually get accustomed to it. I recall a reviewer relate the “crease” issue to an individual nose. As in our nose is placed right between the eyes… yet we really pay attention to the nose.

I do admit that the outer screen is narrow.. anxiously waiting until Samsung address it with the Fold 6, but I can get by with it now. Given how I think it’s dope to have this kind of device. A phone that can unfold into a tablet… it’s futuristic. Enjoy using the S-Pen, multitasking and all the Good Lock goodies.

Yup… awaiting for OneUI 5.1.1 to hit my Fold 4 this month. Have you receive your Fold 5 already?
Now that the device is released I have been playing a sitting on the fence game.

My heart would like to buy but my head keeps playing tricks on me regards the persistent crease.

I just got my August Security Update on my Fold 5. Thus far so good, the possibilities of multi-tasking in this are insane!

Yesterday I was browsing this and some other forums while having a window with What's app and Twitter on the right side screen.

In PiP I had a Youtube video. Quite impressive!

The crease doesn't appear to bother most Fold owners. I can only tell you from my experience that I could not unsee it myself in dark mode. I won't consider a foldable in the future until they are no longer visible.

Not attempting to take any position on your experience with the crease because it’s what you feel.

But I’m curious… when the iPhone X was announced with the notch back in 2017 what was your position on it? Because the public made a huge deal out of it.

i still own an iPX in my all time collection as one of my favourite, before Apple started growing that unbearable camera bump and weight thickness

as for the notch it kind of bothered me yes to an extent but when dark mode came to the iPhone it was something that i quickly would hide using wallpapers etc something that has kept me bothered with the Galaxy Fold that i will fail to hide the crease and end up having that much dreaded buyer's remorse

The Fold crease will only bother me if it cracks and breaks. If it stays as it is then it's no bother at all. Once you buy into the fact that you have a folding device then you understand that the display is going to have a crease in it. I mean, physics...

Thanks for admitting your concern with the notch which leads me to believe that the issue you have with the crease can get better over time.

And there’s no hiding the crease with the Z Fold… as @sunking101 mentions, it’s going to be visible given you have a folding display. However, there are other competitors who have done better with attempting to hide the crease (Oppo Find N2) therefore Samsung has room to improve.

Never had an issue with the notch in my iPhone X usage. But I don't think that's a fair comparison. It's a small area on the top of the display. The crease is down the middle of the Fold series and is a physical indentation.

So I now have my Samsung Flipsuit case. As I mentioned previously, having no case is best, but if you need a slim case, I think Samsung's slim case is better than the third party cases out there. Third party cases all have that folder shape cut out, which I think takes away from the blacked out all screen look of the Flip5. So what Samsung did was make the top part of the case, all open, and then blacked out the edges so that the front of the phone retains the blacked out all screen look.
Also, barely adds and noticeable bulk to phone.

I wish Apple made a Flip and/or Fold iPhone. I've tried switching from iOS to Android twice in the past and both times I ended up going right back to my iPhone after a month or two. As tempting as Samsungs offerings are, I just know that I wouldn't be able to make the switch to Android. Hopefully Apple will surprise us someday.

Since I have a white back, the fingerprints aren't as visible. If have to really look at different angles to notice, and even then, it's barely noticeable.
I was thinking the white would hide it well after I asked the question haha nice

Thanks for posting these. I wasn't happy with my Ringke Slim in Matte Clear. Just made the phone look and feel completely different. I just order a flipsuit to give it a try. I don't plan on using the cards or whatever since I want to see my blue back.

After a day and a half of using my Flip 5, my only complains so far are the FP sensor and battery life. I constantly am timed out from using the FP due to many accidents. But if I turn off the option to have it always active then it's more of a pain to unlock. So I'm trying to figure out the best options there. For battery life, I got up at 5am today and by 5pm I was down to 20% and this was after moderate to light use. I was on 5g for a few hours this morning then WiFi all day.

Other than that, I really like it so far. It feels so futuristic lol. I still have no idea how or what to use good lock for. Any suggestions on how to learn all that? It doesn't seem very intuitive at first glace. I do admit I downloaded it, and looked it over for a few minutes and didn't put a ton of effort into it yet.
