Does the Note 8 battery get worse overtime? I have my phone for like 3 months and find the battery isn't as long lasting as when I first got it?

Every battery as diminishing performance over time. But the Note 8 is the only battery that will retain 95% capacity after 2 years. Nobody in the industry has that claim as of yet.

My Note8 battery is still maintainin capacity just fine, it's incredibly consistent in how it drains, so much that I have a very good idea of when I may need to plug it in daily no matter how I use

My battery is consistent but I can make it deplete quicker by using the phone more, otherwise it's pretty consistent.

Say if I have about 100gb of files (pictures, videos, pdf files) stored locally on the phone or its sd card, and I would like to sync these files to an Android tablet, what is the best way to do it? I have a Windows laptop with a large ssd and a Google Drive account but not the paid version.

I supposed I can use my laptop to make a copy of the files from one card onto another card and insert the second card into the tablet? Doable? Any other better ways?

Try using sidesync to do it wirelessly or just use a USB cable to transfer manually, from device or sd card.

The S8 plus also has the same battery tech and i can confidently say after having mine since launch that it has not lost any discernible battery life. Only yesterday i got over 8 hours SOT. Still runs like a dream performance wise too.

I never get anywhere close to 8 hours screen time!
But my screen is up in the brightness, I don't use any power saving features, if the screen is on, I'm usually using the browser..
During the week my watch is connected.

So Im happy when I get home from work with 70% but I've never got near 8 hours of screen time.
How do you do it?

It depends on how i use my phone, if i'm using 4g and out in the sun all day (auto brightness will crank up to 100 percent) i will struggle to get 4-5 hours SOT. If i'm indoors all day on my Home Wifi network and just checking social media and watching Youtube then 8 hours is easily achievable. I also have my Lg Urbane Watch connected at all times and i run at 50 percent brightness indoors.

Anyone using an unlocked Note 8 on VZW? Does it get VoLTE? Any quirks I should be wary of?

My unlocked S8 had VoLTE on Verizon and it worked just fine but I switched to T-Mobile before getting the Note 8. I assume it's the same, though. I didn't have any quirks and did prefer the unlocked software to Verizon's cut up variant. Having the built-in caller ID was a nice touch too.

Just an update to my previous post...still fighting with Samsung for the return.

Honestly, I am just waiting on the 30 day time limit, in which the Attorney General will step in.

Good luck with the AG. I had a battle with Dell who literally committed fraud with me (and many others) on a 30" display that cost me about $800, on top of the price paid for the display, and after a year of "help" from the AG of NY, I got a check for I think $40 back.

I wonder what's Apple's claim? 50% lol?

Anybody get the note 8 on the Samsung upgrade program?

I’m thinking about getting the note 8 as a 2nd device to my iPhone X...love my Apple ecosystem but really want to have a note again snd use Samsung again

Speaking of iPhone X, my mother got 1, I used it for about 30mins setting it up with her Apple Watch Series 3, haven't tried the camera though.

I tell you what though, the Note8 and iPhone X are simply not comparable. The iPhone X is a great Galaxy S8 competitor, it's not playing on the same field as a Note8. It's like comparing a Range Rover Sport SVR (Note8) to a Mercedes C63 AMG (iPhone X), both are high end products, but they are two different products.

If you are going for the Note8 ensure you are happy with its size, it is a gargantuan phone, the iPhone X feels puny next to my Note8, the display is too small for me as I am used to the huge one on the Note.

I agree that they are different beasts, and I would further say that the Note 8 doesn't really have a direct competitor, primarily because of the S-pen. But from a size perspective, the Note 8 and iPhone plus size are roughly the same. So I wouldn't consider it "gargantuan" any more than a plus size iPhone.

Think people only compare them due to its spec wise the only thing to compare to the note 8

I like the size of my iPhone X but the 6.5 iPhone X plus this year will be a better comparison
