I keep telling you guys how awesome Good Lock is... Samsung even tweaked the Task Panel to have a 3 column grid layout, supposedly there's going to be some taskbar changes on the Fold/Tablet.

Good lock was really good before but this could change a lot for people who have issues with certain areas of the software. It’s the best software for me now

Does Pixel have a similar app? The same level of customisation type of thing?

I personally wouldn't call One UI the best software... it's just feature rich. And some people don’t like the “throw the kitchen sink” approach… Some folks favor that pure Android experience of the Pixel, but Good Lock has always been the deciding factor for me ever since I was introduced to it.

Back when I switched from the iPhone X to the Note 10+ and installed Good Lock... that was it for me.

That’s the thing you don’t need to use the added features if you don’t want to. What held one UI back was smoothness and general UI scrolling. Those issues are pretty much gone now. Certainly with ways to make animations even better.

Well, that’s been my argument all along with the “kitchen sink” approach… but some folks insist it can be overwhelming to them.

Once Samsung eliminated Touch Wiz and introduced One UI… smoothness and scrolling wasn’t really a problem, it’s always been the animations that critics constantly bring up… there’s those videos where they open up apps quickly to see the animations and all the time Samsung gets attacked.

But it doesn’t really bother me, as long as apps open instantaneously and I don’t get any crashes… I’m good.

Anyone else find it odd the stylus doesn't match the phone color? My phone is white and the stylus is light blue. I don't mind at all, just an odd thing.

Also, I find the AI stuff equally as useless as my 16 Pro Max. Love the phone so far though. The feel in hand is awesome.

Everyone is different and has different use cases. But for me...the AI on the S25U (S24U and P9XL for that matter) are head and shoulders better than what the 16Pm has to offer. I use circle search a lot and it is just so easy to use. Then Google assistant is the best in the business. It works more seamless on Android than it does on my 16PM.

This. As much as I love the Pixel, it's not even in the same league, and the iPhone really does offer better customization options in my opinion.
Yeah no thought that would happen but iPhone has some nice options these days. Not amazing but still it's there

so I knew the stylus colour would bug me, that's why I ordered the grey I Think? so that it's the same colour.... no regrets

The AI stuff feels to me WAYYYYYY better than my 16pro max. I've actually started using it on the s25u just by pressing the side button and asking it questions without thinking about phrasing or anything. Sure, I wouldn't ask it life or death decision stuff ;-) but then I wouldn't ask any of the current AI stuff that. However I feel like I can ask conversational stuff and get a decent answer very quickly.

I've always thought Apple's siri was a bad buy. I hoped they'd improve it over the years, IMHO they haven't.

Does AI summarize work with 3rd party web browsers or just the Samsung browser?

circle to search is brilliant yep. I use it all the time and the easier it is to call it up the better

I skipped the S24 Ultra, so it's a nice refinement indeed coming from an S23 Ultra. I actually feel that I'm in the minority, and I wanted to absolutely celebrate it's two toned design, so I chose the Black version (non-online exclusive non-Jet), and I absolutely love the matte glass with the more bronze toned titanium sides. To me, it's definitely a looker. Great device too. ;) Here's some (literal) in hand images after I just unboxed it, excuse the dusty back! Testing the camera out has been slightly hindered by rain, but who doesn't love some macro-ish water droplets. :)

that works on any browser as far as I know.
Decided to pre-order from Best Buy, since I already have Total+ that includes accidental damage protection. Never tried a Note / Ultra before. I am curious about whether I'll utilize the S-Pen when taking calls outside of the office. Can you simply take out the pen and automatically take notes while on a call (like a phone number, name, etc) and then send into a document format? That would be really handy if so.

Its the live chat translations in Whatsapp and Line that make Samsung a complete game changer for me in Thailand my IPhone 16P is just pants by comparison :)

I've got good lock downloaded but can't find home up?
If you sideload the latest version (16.0.00.56) you can launch it from the home screen (Long press --> Settings --> More customizations).

I have never tried to take notes while in a call to be honest.
