I understand your sentiments however the IPhone etc are still foreign imports mainly from China to the USA and most other countries

Better to stick with actual goods manufactured in US if that is your objective :)
I would think his goal is to avoid US companies. No matter where the Apple products are made, the cash ends up with a US company, even though Apple keeps the funds outside the US for tax avoidance (not evasion) reasons.

Really liking the camera in limited use. The improved ultra wide camera really makes a difference in up close shots like food shots. Very clear and crisp picture of my drink in a dark bar. I think I have made the decision to keep the device and pack up the s24u. Battery life is the best I've seen on a device so far.

Exactly, even though Trump suspended tariffs for 30 days, I'm trying to distance myself from US products as much as I can. I know that even if I switch to Android, I'll still have Google products, mainly software, on my phone. The goal is to do as much as I can within the circumstances.

I'm leaning towards the S25 Ultra; I really like the design of this phone.

There is a politics forum. Take that discussion over there please. The rules state no politics for a reason. All we need to know here, in an effort to avoid thread crapping, is you are looking to move away from apple to android. We don't need discussion back and forth over your political motivation for it. 😃

First day impression

1. Those rounded corners make holding the phone more comfortable to hold.
2. The weight difference between the 24U & 25U is very noticeable, the phone feels so light in the hand.
3. The screen seems like a good upgrade over last year's phone. I found last year's phone that I could see my fingerprints on the screen even when it was on but that doesn't like the case this year.
4. I'm still getting use of the new ui, I have to keep reminding myself that you have to swipe off the left side to access your notifications and other nitpicks that'll I get use of eventually.
5. The battery seems fine so far, we'll see how it performs in about a week or so.

I don't disagree and without derailing this thread too much :)

Picking on a product that belongs to a US registered company but is imported to both countries etc etc is a bit diluted from the actual tariffs that may be imposed on goods physically traded between the 2 countries is my observation :)

I can't claim to have such high principals , I take trash from anyone LOL

This is my first Samsung in awhile. Anyone have any tips for the best experience? I mainly go Pixel on Android. Looking for any tips on settings, apps, etc I've also never used an S-pen. So far I've set it up and it feels like a pixel, likely due to what I've added/deleted/settings I've messed with. Looking to maximize my Samsung experience.

Really good pics there. I have noticed that it does a much better job with pets and kids than previous Samsung devices. I think it's almost to the point they have solved the whole "shutter lag" issue. Way more detail in all of the animal pics I've seen between here and other sites than previous Ultra devices.

that is some good news.

I swear Samsung are going all out this year, they have just sent me a "last reminder" email with another code in it for £50 off the S25 Ultra price 😂

Zoom is certainly better from last year

Now bar for sport scores is a game changer for android. Even does leagues that my iphone doesnt like euroleague basketball

Have they done enough to keep you with the S25 Ultra, or do you think you will be tempted to get the Pixel 10 when it’s announced?

They have done enough for me. Also there is a new home up on good lock which will allow you to change the animation speed to whatever you want, make it so your Home Screen can place icons in any space you want along with widgets too. So where normally you have areas you can place it here you can make you make it as bad as you want lol

Pixel 10 will be interesting but not sure it will be much different.

This new home up is a potential game changer to change how the UI feels in and around apps

I wonder if that Home Up will be available on S24 Ultra or if they just limiting it to S25 series 🤔
