Really hoping the Sports Scores on the Now Bar begin to work again in time for the tournament and the beginning of MLB season. I do actually think it's a Google issue. A couple of times I checked the score of the Wisconsin/Michigan game, and the score wasn't updated on the Google app.
Its weird how inconsistent it is lately. Although I've given up on the Mavs since the gut punch Luka trade (Fire Nico!), the Mavs score showed up great for me yesterday. However the Stars/Avalanche game would not show up at all.

Yeah I did read that supposedly an update to AOD fixes it, but I don't see an update for the app yet and I don't know if I really want to side load that one since it's a system app. So I can be patient LOL.

I just sideloaded it and no issues arose. 👍

Curious whether the update fixes the excessive battery use from the AOD when looking at the battery use stats.

I've found my first true complaint with this device. I guess I put it in my pocket and there was some kind of dirt or something that did a number on the screen. A bunch of tiny scratches all over it. Assume that's just in the anti reflective coating and not true glass scratches. I have a zagg anti reflective protector I'm going to put on. Hopefully that somewhat masks the scratches. I'm real OCD about scratches on my display and was hoping this one would hold up better than my S24U. Its like someone sticking needles in my eyes when the light hits just right and I see those damn scratches 😞
Update: The Zagg screen protector is great even though I prefer no screen protector. Still mostly keeps anti reflective properties and can't detect the screen scratches at all. Device looks brand new again.

Is there actually a way on a Samsung (or Android in general) to connect an encrypted SSD, similar to how an an iPhone you can connect via USBC an SSD that’s formatted in encrypted APFS? It’s a handy way to take a secure backup of local files. I’m guessing encrypted APFS is not supported, but are there alternatives?

I use this USB-C adapter to attach a a thumb drive and have an offline backup of my S25U. Not sure what file types it supports. But this does work

So you go caseless hmm?
How does it feel and hold caseless though ?
To much fear dropping it 😱

I always want to go caseless but there's no way of carrying two phones and moving around in and out of the car at the gym and work commute, usually I carry both phones in one hand facing each other. I would definitely see insurance claims lmao

Does that copy reinstall everything as it was? (Samsung pass already set up, etc)
It does encrypt the data using your Samsung account so passwords and all that stuff. But I don't use Samsung Pass so not sure about that one to be honest :)

Alright, Samsung Knights. Looking for some camera advice. :D

My family is going on a trip to Gulf Shores next week and I'm looking to take some professional looking sunset pics of my wife, not because I'm a weirdo, but she's 7 months pregnant and we're doing a pregnancy photo shoot.

I'm curious to those of you who have had the last couple of Samsung Ultras, what settings would you recommend. I do have Expert Raw installed, but wondering if you would recommend the full 200mp setting. Or if you have any other tips?

Thanks in advance!

Composition is more important than the settings you use imo.

Doesn't matter if you use 200mp or whatever if the photo isn't set up right.

For sure. I got some cool ideas on Beach Sunset photos. Can't wait. Just wasn't sure if there was a go to setting for this kind of environment that people had experience with. 🙂

The cameras post processing is too clever now, but I would play with the spot metering and see if you can turn an average sunset to spectacular buy exposing for different elements in the sky and not letting the sun dictate the exposure :)

Thanks! So basically in Expert Raw, just play with exposure levels until I find the right mix?

You can do it that way but in pro mode if you touch and hold the screen with spot metering selected it will show a little locked circle for AF/AE then use manual focus if needed to capture your wife but exposure is set on different object

Try it indoors say set exposure based on table lamp, then pan to a different subject
